They do look cute..however i dont think that 10 year old girl on the end should have on fake nails

I see nothing wrong with the nails. My niece gets her nails done almost every 2 weeks and she’s 9.I think she has been getting hers done since late 7,everly 8.I see no problem.

      Flag this

      • Tiana July 29, 2009 at 4:04 pm

There is no problem with her getting her nals done but I think what DDonDiva was trying to say is that she’s a little young to be wearing fake ones. Maybe if they were just her natural nails it would seem more appropriate for her age. Then again every parent is different and have different standards as to whats age is appropriate for certain things so…

Just Plain Ignorance!!!!!! This is why we can’t get our stuff together as black people. People won’t let kids be kids! We spend so much money and time on hair, nails, and clothes and not enough on education and manners:-(

I am very disturbed by this trend that is currently going on. These little girls look way too fast! There are far too many little girls who look like grown women. With hair, full face make-up and tight or short clothes, nails etc. It is really a shame that with all the problems that girls face, especially black girls that we as parents are co-signing on this. It just shows a lot of ignorance and the fact that these young moms think it’s cute because they are like babies themselves. *sigh* We are teaching our daughters the wrong thing…how to be sexy for a man and/or how to get a man.

They preformed on the BET awards. Peep them on stage with Lil Wayne and Drake when they were preforming “Every Girl”. Ladies if you don’t know the lyrics go to http://www.lyrics.com.
For what ever reason these 2 boys decided it would be ok to preform this sexually explicit song with these young, impressionable minors on stage. One of which was Lil Wayne’s daughter.
        DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I wish the little ladies much success, I do wonder if they are also being guided towards academic endeavors that will insure them success if this singing thing doesn’t work out. I think, given the finances of their families, they are in a position to attain an education that not every child can afford and I hope that the parents are as passionate about that as they are about a show biz career.

For them to be dancers, it seems like a few of the young girls are kind of big around the belly area. I wonder why since they’re just little girls and they are supposed to be dancers?

I see this more and more on little kids and it still weirds me out since I guess kids just live on junk food nowadays. It’s not that they are just big boned, because they don’t look big otherwise.

It’s just something kids have a lot more now when kids used to be tiny for the most part. I guess parents are mostly content to let their kids eat “whatever” and normal food (like meat, fruit, vegetables) isn’t that important anymore.

I wish them well, I think we need to give our kids a better education if this does not work out. I mean as soon as these girls get older like most of all girl groups, The differences will start. The attitudes will come. Let’s give it a few years, Not hating, I wish them well, Destiney Child, Envogue,TLC, Suprems. etc. Black women don’t get along as it is, It was so bab that Essence Magazine did an article called How to stop the hate among black women. I knew it was a problem, but I did not know it was that bad.I wih them well and security in life if this music business don’t work out.

    • Khrish Hill July 29, 2009 at 10:19 pm

Exactly. There are so many other things that the children could be doing. All the money that it seems these families have, it seems that they would put it to a better educational use. through travel and other activities that occupy the time of these little girls. They need to be prepared just incase this show biz life doesn’t work. We have all be talking about the Jacksons and it seems we never really listen to lessons taught. Wouldn’t it be nice to see them exposing their children to another side of life instead of on stage. I admire Ross because she kept her children out of the lime light until they were older and educated an mature enough to deal with the streeses that this type of life brings. If all else fails all of those children except Ross are prepared to make a successful life. I’m feeling that she is upset about Ross as he was supposed to have entered University last year. I always thought we did these things to give our children better lives. But that’s just me.

It is not nails that make you grown- that is a preference. It is your whole persona and behavior meaning thinking about boys, talking back to adults, lyrics they sing or speak. I think they are cute.I am a little curious to know if Tiny and Toya and the other parents have talked to the girls about being in the entertainment world and such…..So they don’t become a Miley Cyrus

  • issy July 30, 2009 at 5:54 am

i actually think Tiny looking cute in these pics as opposed to how she usually look. I think her features are disproportionate to her face i.e her nose, and lips. If they fit her face proportionately she would be extremely pretty. She is one of those people who plastic surgery (if done correctly) would do wonders.

Aside from that i think she is very real and nice. I like her. I can see why T.I. would be drawn to her cause thats the type of chick most guys want that ride or die chick and thats what Tiny is.

Toya, i like her but i think she think she all that and a bag of chips but hey….lol

OMG girls??? idk i would have rather seen them doing something academically productive. Dancing is great for young girls i just think as a hobby though. The fact that we under-emphasize academics is the reason that blacks are perceived throughout the world as just hip-hop people and sports people.

I went to France and Italy once and the people assumed that i knew all the names of hip-hop artists just cause im black and they assumed i knew how to play basketball. In actuality, i rarely listen to hip-hop, i like country music and jazz. I dont play basketball or even like it, i play tennis. We are doing a dis-service to these young black children by perpetuating that stereotype.

    im just sayin…just my opinion

    Flag this

    • Khrish Hill July 30, 2009 at 10:45 am

Dancing is fine and it seems that they would be encouraged to study dance as well if they want to perform. Not just some girating stuff. I just don’t understand that they are not pushing these kids into a more interesting place in life. Experiencing things that they can cherish for life.
I mean, were I Tiny, I would not really want my daughter to be a carbon copy of me.
I do feel that the other lady that was married to that wayne man, wants very much to improve herself and I admire her for that. I noticed that after the hoopla about her crude husband having their daughter on stage while he rapped that vulgar piece of crap, she was the one who found it necessary to apologize and explain why her daughter was on stage and admit that it was a terrible mistake. I admire her for wanting to be better and if that means she thinks that she is all that and bag of chips……Then brava to her.

Thank you!!!! I was waiting to see if anyone shared the same sentiments as I do. I mean hot booty shorts and fishnet stockings?! What is wrong with these parents dress your children age appropriately so when they go out they won’t have to be disrespected.
No wonder why some nasty men rape little girls. Don’t make them eye candy for grown men! Their dress code is unacceptable and the nails are just a little too much as far as I am concerned. I wouldn’t want my daughter emulating this so called girl group.

But wouldn’t the money going for the nails be better spent in a piano lesson or something of that nature. That would be with her forever, while she’ll just have pay more money to get more nails latter. Don’t these things cause problems in the long run for the natural nails?

But why wouldn’t you encourage your daughter to keep up her own nails instead of having those things pasted on by paying someone else to do what she could do herself. Nails and hands can be very beautiful without being long and catty looking. It’s all a part of teaching personal hygene.

Cute little kids but I agree with others who question their appearance. People say “kids these days” but it is not the kids but the change in parenting that makes them different. The short shorts (especially w/ fish net stockings) are TOO MUCH…as well as the nails (and I am not jealous b/c I CAN have my nails done if I chose to *smh @ that ignorant comment*). As for “well, they’re just nails” – THESE ARE LITTLE GIRLS – let them have a chance to appreciate who they are and how they naturally look like before trying to ‘enhance’ at the tender age of 10 (btw, I am also against extensions on the little ones – I really don’t get this trend). Seeing these outfits reminds me why I love seeing little girls dressed like little girls – they have more than enough time to be grown.

Robb, great response. CP(mr musclemedia 2000) represents in my opinion the total antitheseis of what CF is about. Trainers that are not open to the implementaion of different methods or ideas to skin the proverbial cat. They covet their knowledge hold it above all else and then dismiss anything that doesnt fit nicely into their box. Any cf trainer knows that we all are different and what gets one person to keep their heels down on a squat might not work for the next so to speak. any way, thanks for the read.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
