Here is a sneak peak at singer Erykah Badu and Jay Electronica’s daughter Mars. Eryka and Jay announced the birth of their daughter on February 1,2009 via twitter. Mars Mekaba is now six-months old!

If any of you think those kids have undesireable names, check this, I’m told I have a granddaughter with these initials: ASS. That’s so wrong on so many levels.

She is sooo adorable! But uh, gotta point out the obvious. Why is she soo light?? She looks like she could be for her other baby, the other little girl’s dad. And, don’t come with that genetic BS! If anyone feels the need to bring up DNA and his mama or great grandmama, you can keep it. Total BS is what I call it.

3 kids, 3 different fathers. Come on Erykah…that’s a bit much! To Nelly, I’ll bring up DNA. Dark genes are usually dominate, but that’s not always the case. Black folks can end up with children of any skin tone. Genetic history does play a role, whether you want to accept it or not.

So what she has 3 kids with 3 different dads.
FAmily comes in different configurations. As long as the kids are loved and financially and emotionally taken care of.
In addition, these kids were not conceived back to back in a one night stand situation. They are spaced by age and she was in a relationship with each of the dads.
And even if she had stair step kids with fly by nites dads–whose business would it be???

You are absolutely right about genetics. People need to educate themselves about DNA/Genetics and how it affects skin color. There are about 6-7 different genes that determine ones color and these genes can come in many different combos depending on what they get from each parent.That’s why I always laugh at guys on Maury denying paternity soley based on skin color and then it turns out to be theres…LOL dummies
