Halle Berry, who is rumored to be pregnant for the second time, was photographed shopping with her daughter Nahla yesterday. As reported in “BCK Rundown”, this won’t be the first time this year that the actress has been rumored to be pregnant. Only time will tell, but Ms. Halle is officially on baby bump watch.

Amen! Those other marriages really took her through some changes. She doesn’t have the usual reasons for legal papers as some of the rest of us might. Her worry, if financial, would be that he might take something from her. It’s always good for me to see women who have found out that men are not your whole life but an accessory. if she is congratz! if shes not well she has a beautiful daughter… im so sick of people saying halle frustrates me etc. because shes not marrying gabe…SO WHAT what does a piece of paper prove! they love each other now and one day the may not, shes being realistic 50% of ppl who get married end in divorce… but then again she might die old with him. and she doesnt have to get married for her daughter, she has two parents who love each other and more importantly love her no matter what. she gets married and gets divorced, what if it becomes ugly and nahla is a child of divorce, i think that would affect her more than her parents not being married but being together. but thats just my opinion, marriage is not valued like it used to be and i think shes making a wise decision in the negative and positive.
Why is everyone so sure that Halle is in love with this man. Maybe this is a partner for bearing the children that she wants. I am so glad that she seems so happy. She has had so much tragedy in her life when it comes to loving men. Carry on Halle. I love ya girl.
Krish that is the feeling I get. I remember the first few interviews where they asked her questions about Gabe and all she kept saying is that she was looking for a person that would be a good father.
Thanks for the heads up. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who saw those interviews with her. I am so glad she has her daughter. I really think that she adores that little girl. and I am so glad she seems happy.

Dang when will halle ever little nahla walk? Better her than me, cuz once my child got to the walking age, my child sure wasnt letting me walk around and her hold her. I wasnt upset at all, cuz my daughter was a chunky one, and would kill my arm. Nahla looks heavy too, but halle carries her with grace. I guess she’s gonna hold her until she cant hold her no more. LOL
Just a theory..when she holds the baby at that level, the photographers always get Mom and daughter’s heads in the shot, and it’s also easier to shield Nahla by covering her face if she dos not want her photographed. Halle has covered the child’s face in some photos.
Then again, I don’t know, maybe she just loves having her baby as close to her as possible.

onnum…I hear you about how heavy they get. My angel is 1 1/2 and she weighs a ton (smile) but we have to understand, there is not a moment that goes by, that Halle, Nahla and Gabe are not being followed by photographers!! Can you imagine living that way? I guess it’s a give in take…you allow them to take pictures and they take soooooooooo much away
Unfortunate price Hollywood pays!! Well, the whole family is DROP dead GORGEOUS and I hope, that Halle can remain strong enough, to raise a strong woman and keep her sanity in the process… It’s probably a good thing they really dont read these sites!! Just a tool, for us regular folks to have open forum… and some of us are just plain RIDICULOUS!! But that too comes with good/bad PEOPLE!!

I think Halle carries Nahla all the time because of the paparazzi and perhaps a fear of her being snatched. Many other celebrities do the same thing.

To protect her child against the papazzari she must be in control of her child at all times. If the pap would leave her along and at least let her walk out of her door without being stalked maybe she would let her daughter walk. Halle and her daughter are both beautiful and congrat to Halle for a loving relationship she has developed with her family.

Me says no. She is in her 40’s, and sometimes it’s hard to keep that flat bounce-a-quarter-off-your-belly flat belly after you’ve had a kid that age.
But she looks darn good still.
Well, well. I’m reading the typical anti-marriage responses from black folks. Marriage may not be a guarantee, but it makes things a lot easier than shacking up. Anyway, I don’t care what people do. If Halle’s pregnant, she won’t be the first or the last woman to get pregnant so whatever. We spend too much time in these strangers’ lives.

I’m certainly not anti-marriage. I just feel that people can’t decide who should marry and why. This is a personal decision. Many who are moralist feel that one should not fornicate but they forget if they are going to judge that this woman has been married twice before. To remarry would be adultery. I don’t feel that I have a right to push my morals on anyone else……but I am not anti marriage; just mature.
To be honest with you, I have very strong feelings about marriage, but frankly, I don’t care what people do. It won’t make or break my life if Halle or anyone else for that matter has 10 babies without the benefit of marriage. I don’t have to take care of them nor raise them, but I do believe marriage is a benefit to a community. That’s a well-known fact. Anyway, I do state my opinion, and if that’s being a moralist, than I guess I am. It’s not about shoving anything down someone’s throat. How can one do that? I can’t make anyone do a dang thing. To me, if you can procreate with someone, you can marry them. Courts are filled with people who are “playing house” and judges have to divide pots and pans. The couple usually has no legal ground to stand on. But like I said, whatever people do, it’s on them. No skin off my nose whatsoever. JMO.
And you get no backtalk from me. I feel the same way. While it’s none of our business, I, like you, know that it does affect our community. I, personally, would love to see children produced in a family setting. Although I can’t do anything about it, It really bothers me when I see our young women having babies by men in show business because that seems to entitle them to a share of a check. And that they are making babies with men whom they know have many other women which ups their rate of STDs. Babies having babies before they know what life is all about themselves. Our community pays a dear price for these actions. However, since we can’t do anything about it, women like Halle are more mature and responsible for their actions, and while we would rather see them as a couple at least we don’t have to worry about the child’s day to day needs and nuturing being met. Sometimes it seems to me that many of our people have reverted to the life style forced upon us in slavery. So I do agree that our community has fallen into moral decay. I can better understand and condone Halle’s situation that has been the subject of these posts. But I am most worried about the young than the mature and responsible.
Why do people trip over whether celebs get married or have children? How does that affect your life? How does that matter to you?
Celebs should not be our children’s role models, we should be. If you believe in children after marriage, then live your life that way & be that model for the young people around you.
What celebs do does not affect me or my son. I am his hero & role model.

AMEN! Thank you. People pass so much judgement on what celebs do, damn they are humans who make decisions and mistakes that fit THEIR life! Everything they do is NOT to please the public. Halle has been married twice before and has stated that she is no longer interested in being married to anyone else. I think that it is beautiful that she was able to find someone that she loves and created a beautiful little girl with. Someone stated that he could leave her at any moment so she should marry him? To me that every reason NOT to marry him! If I think that someone is going to leave me, why the hell would I make it legal and harder to get out of. A man can leave you if married. There is no way to keep a man that doesn’t want to be there! So I don’t agree with this logic. And for those who may disagree with me fine. But this is my opinion. *FYI…yes I AM married and have been happily for 6 years!*
Personally, its not celebrities I have an issue with about the whole getting married thing. I mean not to be picky or anything but it would be nice if as society as a whole we did things the right way and married a man/woman had kids with that man/woman alone and had some real secure family units. But thats not how life is, society is so damn permissive. ’so what’ if someone wants to reproduce with 5 different men/women as long as theyre ‘happy’. ‘So what’ if she/he dont want to marry their baby momma/daddy as long as theyre ‘happy’.So what, so what its not YOUR life. I mean heck ’so what’ if its STATISTICALLY proven that children flourish in steady mom and dad families, so what if the break down of society where gangs of feral youths slay each other every damn day happens to coincide with the fact that families are being constantly undermined by peoples carnal desires. I mean so what right?
Oh and on point, halles baby is darn cute, I hope shes pregnant that bi clock is ticking girl and being an only child sucks like crazy, make her a sibling! Hope its a boy though.
It is hard to base someone’s life and how they should choose to live it. But I do say that when I am looking at these men who are just sireing babies willy nilly, there is none of the moralistic talk. No one says anything about “Diddy” and other men who seems to leave a baby everywhere they sleep. It would be nice to secure a family through marriage, but that doesn’t always work either.

Toya, could it be the fact that 70% of black children are born to single mothers. Blacks have the highest rate of out-of-wedlock babies, and yet on blogs such as this, we keep promoting it whether one is a celebrity or the sister down the street. This is the reason why I came up with that comment about blacks and marriage. Why are blacks the only race with such a high out-of-wedlock birth/poverty level. Not everyone that comments here is Black. I also visit other celeb baby sites that do not specifically feature Black children, and the debate about marriage looks exactly the same as it does here.

Halle had one baby out of wedlock with a man she thinks is “right” for fatherhood. But she doesn’t happen to think marriage is “right” for her. Just because these two aren’t married doesn’t mean their home is broken. My best friend- quite honestly one of the most wonderful mothers I know- had her daughter at 17, never married the father, and is now an open lesbian. Both her and the father provided their daughter with the most loving and nurturing care from two separate homes. And their daughter is extremely smart, sweet, kind, confident, and well-balanced. And I think if these two would’ve gotten married and lived and raised their daughter together in the same home, the results would’ve been disastrous. Marriage wasn’t “right” for them.
My point with all this? Different things work for different people. I am married, and I love every bit about it. But I would be foolish to assume that would be the case for everyone. Like Khrish said, I think it’s wrong to push my beliefs and morals onto someone else. Marriage, like sex and parenthood, are personal decisions.
Please state to me how it’s possible to push ones moral beliefs on anyone. People can only state their opinions and keep it moving. Just like I told Khrish, people have free will to do exactly what they please. It ain’t nothing on me because we all have to live with whatever decisions we make. I’ve moved on.
You asked me where I got the anti-marriage statement from. I get it from bloggers who continuously state negative attitudes towards marriage, i.e. marriage is only a piece of paper; marriage is no guarantee of anything (nothing in life is guaranteed); marriage is overrated, etc. We have the highest rate of out of wedlock babies born with no father in the home (and most likely not in the child’s life) and in poverty. Why is that? How is that going to benefit our communities? I hasn’t. That’s why my opinions on marriage are so strong. No. Marriage is no guarantee, and of course husbands can leave their families, but overall, if we look at marriage as a whole, there are great benefits to ones life and society at at large. Again, people can and will do what they please. No one can force anything down anybody’s throat. Moving on.

Having open relationships and a cavalier attitude toward monogamy and marriage is contributing to the genocide of Black Americans who already only make up 2/3 of this society.
It also keeps Blacks especially children living in poverty.

I’m not sure about the pregnancy but I hope so… I know Halle and Gabriel want another kid. So if she is I’m happy for them. Also Nahla is long… the girl is taking after her dad in the height department.

Don’t understand why it would be considered so unusual for a mother to carry a child in her arms who is only one year old, especially if you love your child.
The worse that could happen is that mother and daughter will develop an even stronger, loving bond between them.
Better than the toddler suffering from early seperation anxiety or failure to thrive from parents not touching/loving her enough.
