THE OBAMA’S RETURN + SEE PICS FROM THEIR 3 DAY TRIP

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Sasha,8, and Malia,11, returned to the the White House yesterday( August 17, 2009) after spending the last 3 days out of town, including a visit to the Grand Canyon National Park.
In between talks of war and healthcare reform, President Barack Obama managed to take his family to visit the Grand Canyon among other historic places in Wyoming, Montana, Arizona, to name a few. Papa and Mama Obama also managed to get in a lesson on Geology:
President: “You just studied this, right? What kinds of rocks are there?”
Malia: “There’s a kind of rock that’s made out of lava, right? Now what is that?
Park Ranger Kraynak: “It starts with ‘i’.”
Malia: “Igneous rock.”
Michelle Obama: “High five!
Wow I bet they had so much fun I have always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon….The girls are too cute
I always love to see this family but I am really getting worried about the president. Speaking at events where people are allowed to stand around outside with guns strapped to their persons is going way to far for me. This could have never happened with Bush or any other president. I want to know when the FBI is going to draw the line of this stuff. We have moved into the zone of “yelling fire in a crowded theater.” I am quite worried about the safety of the president and his family.

I agree. I always love to see this family BUT I too, am worried about their safety. Some white folk are crazy {yes, I’m white but not the crazy one}. This is such a beautiful family, there would be some true devastation in this country if something happened to him or the “Obama Girls”! I, for one, will most certainly keep them all lifted up in my prayers. I do, however, like the fact that they go & do stuff freely b/c it shows that they’re not scared. LOVE THE OBAMA’S!!!!!

Welp, it’s nice to be politically correct, and, yes, crazy does come in all colors, but let’s be real here. There are a lot of angry white people who hated the fact that this man and his family hold one of the highest offices in this country. They are racist and they are out for blood. Let’s call a spade a spade. Everyone thought that once Obama was in office, we were going to have a post-racial society. NOT! It hasn’t happened. If anything, things are getting worse. The Southern Poverty Law Center warned people that there are groups of angry whites arming themselves. This is obviously not an indictment on ALL white people because they are the ones that voted him in.
Anyway, I love them! What a perfect example of a beautiful family. Regardless of our president’s intense schedule, he always finds time for his family. We must keep him and his family in our prayers.
Well you know, it’s always been said that you can’t accomplish anything if you are scared. President Obama never talks about his faith, I think he just lives it and so I guess and hope that makes him as brave as he appears. It’s just that the times seem like they did when we were doing the civil rights demostrations and the people appear just as mean and hateful as then. I don’t think that people my age ever thought that we would be in a Post-racial nation, but we certainly did think that things were better and they are because there are less people who feel like these and we just have to keep on working until they dwindle even more.
And I wondered about that. Was he there to show the others that Black people have guns too; (meaning: don’t start nothing and there won’t be nothing) or was he there in unison with the other gun toters
You are very right. I think that the President has decided that he is not going to be intimidated and I know that work hard to protect the children. But it just seems that it’s time for someone to draw some lines as to what is permissible and what is not. Why the devil would you show up at a healthcare townhall with a gun. It just seems so dumb and scary. You’re right, crazy comes in all colors.

Look how Malia is standing like Michelle in the first pic! Kids take on their parents’ mannerisms - no matter how much we say we’re aren’t like our parents, lol! Malia and Sasha are both growing up so nicely.

this si such a beautiful family. i feel sorry for them becuz of all the people saying a bunch of stupid stuff and im mad at the democratic party cuz i honestly think they are purposely trying to make barack obama look bad with this health care bullsh*t. i dont think they respect him becuz he is black and i still think this country was built on racism.i love his family n wonder just how he keeps calm under pressure but i will surely vote for him in the next election becuz i honestly think he is a good man who want s to change but is brought down by all the se white racist people in the government and in the public
I adore this family. My mother and I were just talking about how the security doesn’t cling to Obama and his family like they did to Bush and other presidents. When the Obamas are exiting the plane or walking around, security is usually a mile away! That is a hyperbole, but you get my point.

I agree with yall on the security concerns. People are getting crazy and riled up, Sarah ‘I’m a sore loser’ Palin is telling the whole world that Obama is tryna kill her child. That’s how people get shot. She needs to calm that done because I swear to God if any member of the Obama family so much as scrapes their knee I’m heading to Alaska and hunting her ass down.
Jessica don’t feel lonely, I’m right there with you because I know nothing more than I had to learn in school about geology. LOL But that Malia has shot up like a beanpole. She wasn’t that much taller than Sasha when her father was elected, now she giving he mom a run for her money with height.
I have a friend who is a police officer and he told me that when Obama came to our city he didn’t want the policeor ss to be to close to him. I think it is his preference, but he better change that soon b/c his health care reform seems to be adding fuel to the fire.

Every time I see this family and especially the girls, it makes me so happy. They are living a charmed life. What a joy to see them as royalty. I never thought that I would see our children experience the life of being the scions of the President of the United States. And I just love it when the grandmother is there. As my mom used to say, they are sitting on top of the world with their feet swinging over the side. I just love them. I worked my butt off in that campaign and I don’t regret one minute of it.
I like that he is able to spend time with his family even if he is busy. I like the picture with Sasha with that bag on her shoulder. What does Malia see in the first picture? It looks like she is running to something.
Awww the girls are too pretty. Wow, Malia’s like 5′6 or 5′7 now. She is going to be really tall. I too can remember when the race for presidency started she was not that tall. Both girls could easily model. But they’ll probably get Ph.Ds or something.

Let’s not forget that the guy they were showing carrying the AK47 rifle at the town hall meeting was a black man (MSNBC intentionally cropped the guys head out of the picture so you couldn’t see his race). A black man (a student) was recently arrested for pretending he was a member of the KKK and posting online that he wanted to cause harm to the president. And, the guy who made the Obama/Hitler poster was…a Democrat (he made similar posters about Bush, but apparently depicting Bush as Hitler, Satan, etc., was acceptable). And, a black man, a conservative, was attacked by union thugs at one of the town hall meetings; he’s now suing them. The media doesn’t want you to hear those kinds of stories, though.
I fear for the president’s safety, too, but I’m just as worried about the fanatical people on the left, Obama supporters, who might want to do something just to make a statement.
But the guy who made the poster didn’t use the President. He said his poster was taken and revamped. They did show the picture of the Black man with the gun. Because I wondered if he was there in opposition to the others strapped with gun or if he was in unison with the others there. Also, I think that Obama supporters are not out to make examples of anything by hurting anyone. That would be just what the “uninformed” would like. We just want the Healthcare Reform with Public op. Most of those people out there have no idea of what is written in the proposal because they haven’t read anything. They are basically there to show that they want their country back and hate that the President of this country is Black. It’s just that simple. This and that dumb tea party are the only times they have really had the opportunity to let the world know just how much they hate having a Black president. When a woman comes on MSNBC and says that she wants to keep her insurance that has a $5,000.00 deductible and doesn’t even know the income of her business; it simply reassures me that I am correct in their purpose.
Let’s pray for our president’s safety; as well as his family!!
