A SAND-BLASTING GOOD TIME

It appears that the first family are having themselves a great time while on vacation in Massachusetts. In fact, First lady Michelle Obama had to shake sand and water out of the hair of daughter Malia Obama, 11, while the family waited to get lunch at Nancy restaurant in Oak Bluffs, Mass. Looks like Malia had too much fun at Oyster Watcha beach, a private beach on Martha’s Vineyard

very nice to see they are a normal family having fun…and lil Sasha is getting kinda chubby, but I think all little kids go thru that phase…some grow out of it and some don’t…

Janay-get a life. I mean seriously. Who just sits up and points out how chubby a child is or is not? You and everyone else who does that on this site must be really unhappy with yourselves to sit up and judge a kid. They are under the public eye 24/7. Can’t they just go through life somewhat normally without people like you finding unnecessary flaws about them? She is 8 years old and your talking about her weight? She looks fine.
dude…i didn’t say anything was wrong with her…in fact she is very adorable…I wasn’t trying to be mean…gosh people!…that is exactly why text-messaging and emailing has been the #1 break up of friendships, and relatioships…because people don’t know your tone of voice and tend to take stuff the wrong way…
so once again nothing is wrong with Sasha, she is very ADORABLE
and FYI I do have a life…a great one at that

No Janay you do not need to be commenting on an 8 year-old’s weight. That is why there is such an enormous amount of girls and (boys now too) with eating disorders. But keep on being ignorant if you want to.
Anyways everyone is always talkin about how beautiful Sasha is but Malia to me is so awesome. She’s tall, graceful, trendy without being skanky and really smart. I love her to pieces.

The Obamas request that no pictures are taken when the children were alone as in not with thier parents.
It has been reported that the Obamas have asked that no pictures be taken when the girls are out by themselves (without thier parents).

Both girls are very pretty, but the baby is always the favorite in every family and so they tend to get more attention. I’m afraid that her father is going to have back problems if he keeps picking Sasha up. But it is so cute. LOL

While it is important to care about a child’s weight, I feel confident that these are two that we don’t have to worry about. Wouldn’t you agree?
Leisalle, people not putting their children on healthy eating habits isn’t the only cause of obesity. Us being critical and judgemental causes low self-esteem. And low self-esteem has been known to lead up to obesity, among other issues. These are kids. Kids go through all types of changes growing up. But the kids featured on this site have more to worry about than the average kid. They are the children of celebrities. You know how stressful that must be? People tend to hold them to all types of ridiculous standards just because of who their parents are. For example, here are a few similar cases…Vanessa Williams and Rick Fox’s daughter Sasha, Lil’ Wayne and Antonia “Toya” Carter’s daughter Reginae, etc. Young America should not be subject to something such as weight at an early age. Especially when their bodies are constantly going through changes. And no, I am not excusing obesity either. But who are we to point out weight issues in kids? How do we even know there are any weight issues? Who are we to say how much a child should or shouldn’t weigh? How do we know these children don’t have some what healthy eating habits and/or just aren’t naturally a little husky, chubby, chunky, etc. (whatever word you want to use)? And I’m not trying to debate or argue with you in any way. I’m just responding, respectfully.

I think both girls are very cute. I also like the fact that they continue to look and dress like little girls. I don’t recall ever seeing the bush daughters out this much, looking even 1/2 as happy as the Obama’s. GO OBAMA
But the Bush girls were adults. You wouldn’t have seen them that much. Hardly comparable to the Obama girls. They are young and will be with their parents much more. And they are so pretty.
Remember when teachers would make you right about your summer vaction…these girls would have to right essay…they’ve done so much.
Which will be commonplace among their peers in the school that they attend.

Marley, I know change comes hard for you. You’ve had 8 years of a President that was on vacation and in hiding for the final days of his presidency. But President Obama is CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN, so we can assure you that he will be in there working really hard. Now you can slither back under whatever rock was protecting you and go back to sleep like you did during the last 8 years. The president has your back and we can assure you that no country will be invaded and occupied as you sleep. Renaissance is here. Dumb down days are in the past. I love this family! I don’t think it’s mean to say a child is getting chunky! people need to stop looking for excuses to argue! I got “baby fat” when I was little too and I was still adorable! as I got taller the fat “spread” to all the right places
It is nice to be attractive, but this family has substance that will also be manifested in the children sooner or later;until then let us all enjoy the beauty of the First Family. Thank you all.
