LAILA ALI AND CURTIS CONWAY ARE HANDS-ON PARENTS
Former Boxer Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL player Curtis Conway, recently sat down with People Magazine to talk about how their one-year-old son has changed their lives
On how their relationship has changed:
Laila: Our relationship now is so different. We used to enjoy going to the movies and dinner, but now, having the baby, it’s easy to forget to take time for yourself.
Curtis: We can’t just get up and go. Our time outside of the house really has to be planned.
Laila: But we’re not missing anything. The only problem is, I’m tired all the time. So as soon as I get free time, I want to go to sleep.
Getting to know Curtis Jr.:
Curtis: Laila is very attentive to him. He has a certain whine for one thing, a certain cry for another. She automatically picks up on what it is.
Laila: He is very feisty, and he knows what he wants. You don’t have to guess with him.
Curtis: I love getting on the floor with him. I love him slobbering over me. We wrestle.
Laila on wanting more kids:
Laila: I definitely want more kids. But I’m going to wait until my son is about 3 — so he can get me a diaper when I need one! When you have a child and commit to raising that child together, then there is nothing stronger than that.

How inconsiderate to his former wife and children. I understand that it is great to have a baby, but this is not the first time he’s had to make adjustments for children in his life.

Does he consider the mother of his first set of kids when it comes to the commitment she makes to the children he’s fathered before this baby?
I am all for beautiful new love and starting a family, but parents should be mindful of the things they allow in print that their children are old enough to read and comprehend. This interview sounds like the cliched get a new wife and start a new family, leaving the children from the first relationship behind.
I understand Laila is a new mother, but her husband isn’t a new father. He should be more mindful of what he puts out there and how that could affect his children.

Carrying around little Muhammad Ali should be a prize for Laila. I feel she is blessed to have a child that looks exactly, currently just like a huge figure such as her dad, the greatest. Girl, take all the pictures of him as you can before he starts to change, if he does, to look like his own father. It is incredible how kids can change to look like one relative to another one.
