HALLE BERRY IS PREGNANT WITH HER SECOND CHILD?!
BCK speculated a few weeks ago that Halle Berry is with child. Well, now it has been confirmed by Life and Style magazine that the actress and her boyfriend Gabriel are expecting their second child together:
“Halle is overjoyed,” says an insider close to Halle and the baby’s father, model Gabriel Aubry. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”
“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!” A rep for Halle didn’t respond to a request for comment.

I still feel that this man was chosen as a partner to assist Halle in her endeavor to have children. He only showed up after her statement on Oprah that she was ready for children and not intending to marry again. And to me it has never looked like a love affair.
Maybe so, but I felt that it was insensitive and presumptuous to think that a couples fertilization problems must be related to them not being a “real couple”. Rich or not, fertility issues are depressing. That’s probably why people keep commenting on how she looks down. I can’t imagine dealing with this and having someone constantly asking if I’m pregnant again.
That’s not what I am saying at all. I am simply saying that he was chosen to help produce the children. I’m not a part of the relationship and so I don’t know; but they just don’t appear to be this “in love” couple. That’s only the way I see it. It has nothing to do with how the babies were made. It just always looks more like a partnership to me. That’s all I’m saying. Even when they are out together without the child, it doesn’t give the appearance of a love affair just more of her escort. I guess my feelings are if they are indeed a couple it’s fine and if they aren’t it’s fine. Well I guess it has to be since they are asking me anyway. LOL
they must have some type of good relationship if she is giving the children his last name. if he was “just” a sperm donor and nothing else - why would she do that??? they could have her last name because she certainly could take care of them herself and not need a connection to their father. there would be no need for him to be seen with them in the many photo’s with him holding and loving his daughter. but i must say - i would marry his fine ass with the quickness!!
Well they usually do a hyphenated name her last name plus his which shows joint partners but no marriage.
I kind of agree with Khrish. Although, it’s nice that Halle is finally becoming a mother (a dream I know that she has been determined to pursue, from her interviews and such), I have to admit that it really HASN’T looked like an authentic romantic relationship in my eyes. It hasn’t necessarily been because they haven’t tied the knot–a lot of couples appear clearly in love without being married. I’ve noticed some of the body language in the many pictures of them and their expressions–they just don’t seem like a giddy, happy-in-love couple. He always seems wooden, if you ask me. However, I don’t want to judge.
Artificial insemination, unless she used someone elses sperm, is not the same as invitro. It’s not a fertility problem. Whether you do it the old fashion or thru insemination, it’s not about fertility the last time I checked. Sperm doesn’t swim better because you’re inseminated –as a matter of fact, it’s generally more diffficult and PRICEY to get pregnant this way.
Yo, clearly you know NOT what you speak! When was the last time you had fertility issues, an in vitro procedure or were inseminated? Yes, it is about infertility! Any infertility procedure is more expensive than natural, but what is the price of a child? Priceless. Stop judging Halle and her family.
Don’t know if they are sleeping together, we do know that the babies were conceived in a different way; which leads me to conclude that he is a donor and not someone that she really wants to marry.
Ummm Brad and Angelina have a team of children and they are not planning on getting married. Nicole and Joel are having a second child and not planning on getting married (anytime soon). Matthew McCongahey and his girlfriend are having a second child and not planning on getting married. A lot of people are following the mother/father-of-my-children trend and not getting married. Just how it is. You should assume and jump to conclusions.

And what is so Right about these situations you’re giving examples of? women continously put themselves in these situations and then complain and whine about how hard it is to be a single parent. First thing out of their mouths is well I’m a single parent like that should be applauded. There was a time when a woman was a single parent she didn’t glorify it nor did she encourage it today however, women think its heroic not realizing that not having a father in the home many raise their sons to be sorry just like the men they complain about because they coddle them, they don’t discipline them and they learn how to take without giving. The daughters learn to settle for unworthy men and usually end up having a number of children of their own out of wedlock….so the cycle continues. The examples you gave do not deserve applause.
I beg to differ with you in this situation. Halle has decided that she doesn’t want to keep marrying and divorcing. She’s done that twice and has decided that maybe she’s not equiped for marriage, since they both left her. She does want children and she has selected one partner to assist her with this desire. Every woman who is married isn’t insured a loving father for the children that they create. It sounds like a good game but it doesn’t always give you the happily ever after ending. She’s in her 40s and she wants children. She is not some young chick out here making babies because it’s the fad, she really wants these children and she is mature enough to make the decision of what is best for her. She can concentrate on the happiness of herself and her children; not the stresses of a marriage and trying to keep it fresh and make it work. Because she is a mature and financially stable woman, I think that she has the right to decide what is best for her. It doesn’t quite fall into the category that you are trying to cram it. There are some women who want what they want and are not willing to put up with a husband and certain demands or stresses to get it. Then there are some women who become pregnant in hopes of getting a man, or getting a check. She doesn’t fit in either category. And she has chosen one partner to create and share her children as the father in this situation. We can only live the one life that we have and try to learn what works for us. In doing that, we have little time to worry about women like Halle who is able to handle her business without help from any of us.

I wouldn’t say that. Halle is 43,which means no matter how much sex they have she may not be able to get pregnant the “old-fashioned way”. I gets hard for most women to get pregnant after 40. Some women can’t get pregnant easily no matter what their age(I’m 37). That why it’s such a blessing that most take for granted. I see alot of chemistry between the two of them.
I hope it will be another girl. A boy would be too cute and too female looking!

Often with this method they have to fertilize the egg with the sperm in a petrie dish then plant the fertilized egg in the womb. Older women use this method a lot but you still get the end results.
No this method is IVF, not artificial insemination. The egg is not placed in a petrie dish for AI.
Yeah, AI just means the sperm was deposited into the the women during a medical procedure. This is what’s done when you get sperm from a donor. The women has to be able to concieve the old fashion way in order to be able to do AI.
That way people are questioning if her a Cutie Pie are really a couple. If you are able to concieve via AI then way not just do it the old fashion way and have sex with your spouse? Not unless there were medical reason behind her using AI. Say she wanted to be about to choose the gender of her baby.
But until Halle herself speaks up this is all a rumor.
Didn’t it cross your mind that Gabriel could also have fertility issues(bad sperm quality, slow swimmers,…), in this case AI would be reasonable.

While we accept marriage as the norm for procreation in our society, we also accept that adults have the right of choice. While we assume that children thrive better in loving relationship with both parents,however, marriage doesn’t insure a loving relationship all the time. I would not have wanted children out of wedlock gut that was my choice. These two people are mature adults and capable of designing a relationship of their choice. Yep many give Halle Berry a pass but truth is she’s a statistic YET another baby ma ma. And she’s having children like a spoiled kid that’s already got everything…..so why not acquire what she didn’t already have “ooh I know why don’t I just have kids now” She’s a 43 year old diabetic clearly only thinking that she should have what she wants and should not be denied…Selfish! and of course let Halle tell it everything is Peaches and Cream, pregnancy/child birth and child rearing. Yeah a toddler and an infant on each hip but then again she can always pass them off to the help. That’s ironic because in the “first days” women were still having babies in their 90s. And btw, I’m 26 and my mother is 67! It was wonderful to be born to someone who had everything in order by the time I arrived: career, house, etc. Sometimes older is better.
You know not all of us who support her are unwed etc. I have never been an unwed mother. I have been married twice. I had children with my ex who is a good father. I remarried and have not have been trying for 1 more and currently am, if science has to help me why would I not try? I don’t mean octo-mom try I mean try and be thankful for 1 healthy baby.
Why can’t people wish the woman well, hating won’t make her not want a child or feel guilty for having ivf.I’m sure she can more than provide for her children as well as put in the kind of time that some working moms wish they could. While I personally, would be unhappy to have a child without marriage, and I certainly am in horror of children creating children. I am by no means giving Halle a pass. She does not need a pass from me. I very much feel that any bed Halle makes for herself she is mature enough to keep it made. I don’t think these children are being made in hopes that Gabe will stay with her, but I do think that she has made it so that the children will always know who father is. This is her decision and she is more than mature enough to make it without our blessings. However you think she will feel in future, you will never have to worry about it. Would you think it better that she marry Gabe because she only wants children and then he leaves? What’s the difference? She would still be a female head of house for statistics.

I see be fruitful and multiply… nope no requirements of marriage…maybe I skipped it… I am joining the woman who say who cares how she or others get prego..she can afford to have a child, she can afford to have a tutor teach her child 24 hrs a day. However, I wonder what’s going through Halle’s mind to keep having children with no marriage certificate. I know a lot of people probably feel she’s rich, doesn’t need a husband, or can have a family unit without being married to Aubry. However, the importance and the stability of marriage should not be underestimated. I suppose Halle has her reasons, though.
As she said on Oprah, marriage hasn’t worked for her. Both men walked away from her. She was the injured party in those relationships. She was excited with the second marriage because he had a daughter that she really liked. When your relationship continue to fail sometimes you just decide that you should not keep making the same mistake. She really wants to be a mother, as she has so often said. Though most believe that marriage is the perfect setting for creating children, as there is stability and love, we have no insurance that this will be the case. She has, I think she feels, she has removed one of her obstacles and leaves herself free to give all of her love to her children without the extra burden of working at a marriage. She has selected one mate and they seem to be pretty good friends and he seems to really love that baby and plans to be in her life as well as the next baby. Although there is no legal certificate for marriage, there is the legal birth certificate that shows the children are their children together. Maybe she would rather have her children with a friend and partner where they both respect each other and create a safe and happy environment for the children. I’m not saying that I agree with her, I’m just saying that I understand where she’s coming from.

I have never heard or read that Halle blames either of the men (both Black)to which she was married for the results of those marriages nor her present decisions. She has only stated that SHE has given up on marriage because of the mental state in which she found herself afterwards. Unlike Richard Pryor, she doesn’t feel that she’s gonna keep getting married until she gets it right. Again, marriage is no assurance of happily ever after. I feel she has been more than generous in accepting responsibility for her actions. I do agree, however, if your decisions keep producing the same results time after time, one would be remiss, and down right stupid, in continuing on the same course. While her choice maybe different than mine of yours, she has no obligation to please either. That’s just my opinion on this situation.

wow, i am appalled at some of the comments being made here. as has been stated before, some people simply are unable to have children and going about it another way invitro/surrogate/artificial insemination is no where in the Bible applied in principle(according to Bible principle that is) to be wrong from God’s standpoint. secondly, although i do not agree with Ms. Berry’s choice of not marrying and having children, it is her decision as to whether or not she will pick up a Bible and learn how God feels about that and whether she will apply what she learned by marrying Gabriel. as also stated before, she, like everyone else, will have to answer to God for the things they’ve done in their life on Judgment Day. the best thing to do is worry about yourself and what you’re doing so you can live beyond that Day when that Day comes. as far as the two of them not “looking like an in love couple” that is a ridiculous claim, and sounds hateful to say the least. are making those statements b/c she is with a white man? i am black, but i also know that real love knows no color. these types of statements made by so-called christians are what turn people away from God unfortunately. and to even call Mary a “baby mama” is out right wrong, while the child was not Joseph’s, the baby came from God and he was used for a purpose–born perfect and sinless, it was important for Jesus to be born to a virgin, an uncontaminated woman and according to the Bible, she had “found favor with God”. to minimize the birth of Jesus by Mary as a “baby mama” is bordering blasphemy, seeing that God is the one that arranged for the birth of His son in that way; and Halle Berry and Mary have NOTHING to do with each other, it was a waste to even try to make a comparison.
I think it would behoove you to read very carefully all of the posts that have been made because you have obviously gone off on a binge about things that you have not carefully read. No one has made any references to Gabe being a white man as the reason for anything. No one has purposely called the Virgin Mary a “baby mamma”. You should re-read the statement. As for the preaching of “christanity”…..Halle may not be a christian. And that is her right. I always thought that we come to the site to look at the children and parents not for a “tent revival”. There is freedom of religion “or not” and everyone does not have to follow your interpretations of the Bible or the Quoran nor the Torah. Please don’t twist my words, some of those you chose to pick apart, unless you can carefully read, with comprehension, what I have posted.

I never comment on websites but I just had to point out one thing…In most other celebrity baby related sites I´ve seen people were mostly posting positive stuff like “congrats”, “best wishes to them”, you know what you expect sane people to say when they know somebody(famous or not) is pregnant….Why it´s such a battlefield here? Religious agendas being pushed, racial controversies, people wishing bad things on them, insinuating they are not a real family, that they are this and that…Geez people, marriage certificate or not, this is a family you´re talking about!For such self-righteous people, some of you don´t seem to realize that a family deserves some measure of respect, especially with kids involved…
It must be a tremendous relief to you that you don’t own this site or have to visit it if you don’t like what you view as negative remarks.
You have the freedom to never visit, read or write another pompous comment at this site.

Hi Khrish. I’ve been busy focusing on Taye Diggs on another posting at this site.
Wesley Snipes and Taye Diggs in my opinion are in the same category, two dudes with low self esteem and issues of self hate. I don’t even have to guess at why they married out of their race because I imagine even their own mothers told them to when they were little boys.
Yes, Halle Berry has a lot of history with men which has been shared for the world’s consumption. Most of it has been well documented over the years that she’s been an actress so she’ll never be able to deny it.
Being that she is mixed, when she was sleeping with Wesley Snipes, she probably mad him angry by calling him a blue black “N” or something and that’s why he slapped the hearing out of her ear.
There is never a reason for domestic abuse. I know that I had heard her say she had been in an abusive relationship but she would never say with whom. I did find out that it was Wesley Snipes and it was long before she was famous. I understand she didn’t leave until he ended up beating her and bursting her eardrum. I think that is horrible. Anyway, maybe he’s reaping now and that’s why he’s running from the taxman.

Hi Khrish. I agree with you about the domestic violence issue. I’ve worked as a woman’s and childrens advocate at a shelter for battered women in the past.
It was pretty much tongue in cheek what I was saying about Taye Diggs, I just wanted to spice things up and make you LOL!
I get tired of some of the same old comments always made by people on here, always cooing and awwing knowing that sometimes they don’t really mean it. They just think it sounds good.

Just an addendum, Khrish, between you and me, I don’t think we always have to be perfect ladies at this site. Just look at what some of these other people get away with saying here.
You and I get called ignorant on the regular here, and the people that use that word don’t even view it as a form of cyber bullying. Well, it is! It’s still name calling and a put down just because we may not share the same point of view as they do.
BCK says at the top of its home page header under what the site is about, is to encourage discussion of broader issues related to children and families, such as autism, poverty, child support, etc.
I really believe people here sometimes resort to calling people ignorant because they are too ignorant to come up with a rational, logical response.
But when that woman who took the time to identify herself as White at the Taye Digg post had the audacity to say that Black women were jealous of Black men marrying White women I just had to set her straight!
I don’t know who the H-E- double hockey sticks she thinks she is!
I know people on messageboards just like to comment to rile people up, and that is cool and even entertaining.
I am only commenting because you are making assumptions of a man’s family based on your dislike of him. I actually know members of Taye Diggs family, one being his mother. She is an extremely educated Black woman. She raised 5 children alone, put them all through college and then finished school herself to gain her PH.D.
She gave her children the freedom to do and express themselves. She didn’t insist on them marrying “outside their race” as you suggested. She let them get involved with whomever they decided on.
And I think she has done a fine job considering all of her children are doing well in their careers. None have children running around (Taye and Idina’s son is her only grandchild) and they have remained very close over the years.
Taye has said some questioning things in the past (and some has been a bit twisted in the media, but that the burden he has to deal with being in this business), but that isn’t on his family.

Are you folks mind readers ? Are you in the relationship with Halle and Gabriel ? Gabriel has stated that he loves Halle and that she is the best mother that any child could hope for. After dealing with men that showed they didn’t love her and emotionally and physically abused her, Halle finally seems to have a loving partner that means her some good. An to the sad person who said the men left her, for the record Halle didn’t loose not one thing she didn’t need. Peace
