T-PAIN BEING SUED FOR UNPAID CHILD SUPPORT
Musician T-Pain is being sued for unpaid child support for a child that he allegedly fathered out of wedlock. The child in question is a two-year-old boy whose mother is an aspiring rapper named Elisa Hood. According to the BoomBox, court documents reveal that T-pain offered to pay Elisa $500/month in child support, to which she refused:
“Per the unreleased court documents, T-Pain offered Hood $500 per month in support. She apparently denied the offer from the rapper, who banked a reported $15 million last year. Although T-Pain has yet to substantiate any litigation claims, the two are said to be heading to court at a later date.”
T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, and his wife Amber welcomed their third child together in May of this year.

The little boy is indeed beautiful. But I can’t stress enough how unprotected sex is truly Russian roulette. If you are having sex with a man who is not in a committed relationship with you, you should purposefully have him wear a condom or not have sex with him all togeter. A man who is not committed to you is more likely to be infected with HIV, than one who is. This is not a joke in our community. Still there is also the epidemic of the fatherless child and the single unwed mother. Please make better choices. This story is more about bad choices than it is about child support.

Amen, Amerie! That ‘Big A&# Chain’ medallion was the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the headline. That waste of metal cost as much as two single-family homes in this market; $500 for child-support is laughable in comparison.
Ok I’m so stuck on this one but I’m with you Amerie. $500 a month is really nothing compared to the money he’s making. From the stories we’ve been hearing lately. These women have been going over the top with the amount of money they’re asking for. So they make $500 look like pennies.

I don’t know about that. He is still married and although he did step out on the wife they have obviously reconciled so I don’t know if it can be exepected for that child to just become apart of the family. That’s a chance that his mother took when she opened up her legs to a married mad. Not excusing what he did, but sometimes women need to kill the “woe is me” syndrome and suck it up. If he aint your husband than stop thinking that you need to fornicate/procreate with him and then after you pop one out think that you can make all these ridiculous demands………For however long his riches last or until the child turns 18 then he should pay her 2 - 5k in child support and any private school tuition. Everything else she just needs to suck it up because he’s someone elses husband. If he wants to drop 400k on a chain that’s his stupidity (if he did spend that kind of money) but his money won’t last much longer if he keeps this up (dropping 400k on a chain, father kids out of wedlock, etc)

I remember hearing this story before, so it was no shock to see Ms. Cherry in the pic… Remember when she was on the show Miss Rap Supreme… at that time she had just had her baby, he was only a few months old!

i heard that he pays 2000.00 a month for the child but she wanted more and he increased it to 500.00 which i think its a joke. he pays alot of money for his chains and teeth he need to step up and help out more. he bettas be glad that he doesnt have a baby mama like kelis.
i always question women who decide to have children with married men. you wouldnt be in this situation if you made a better moral decision. if a married man who obviously has no respect for his wife, his current children, or his marriage vows, what makes you think in your right mind that he is go ing to be some type of stand up guy for the outside child?

He was already paying her $2000 a month, she wanted more and brought him back to court and he offered her an additional $500. So that would have been $2500.
I think they both suck. Him for cheating on his wife and having a child out of wedlock. And her for knowingly sleeping with a married man. She knew what she was getting into but she didnt care. She most probably slept with him without protection, so she could get 18 year care, um I mean pregnant.
That being said. She shouldnt worry about what his other children and wife have. Now, I think it would be fair for him to open a trust account for his son, just as the one he said he have for his other kids. But he doesnt owe his son’s mother the same lifestyle his wife is living.

Bottom line.
So, yes he should have to take care of his son, make sure all of his needs are met. But $2500 is a decent amount to live off of, IF the mother is also contributing money to that household.

Let me guess he’d rather waster thousands and millions on a bartender or stripper than his own son? and how does he think this child will feel when he gets older and understand what he has done for him knowing hes going to give the children by his wife the world. i dont think that is right or fair at all this little boy did not ask to be here. I hope T pain starts thinking with his big head and not his smaller one and get his priorities straight for real.
I’m sorry BCK but the ALLEGED child must be his if he’s offering to pay her in the first place. I hope she gets what she deserves because 500 a month is chump change for T-Pain. She needs to come to New York so she can get her 17 percent of that 15 million! I can not stan a man that can make a baby, but is NOT willing to help raise the child financially or physically(meaning putting in time with the child)!
Crazy! just like the Shaq and Ai child support case ..Most times these wealthy men give the groupie money for an abortion and they never get it and keep the baby.. And then when they finally track down a , the athlete or entertainer refuse via a lawyer , they still refuse to pay up even if you threaten them to get the courts involve ..That is why I don’t believe in having kids with a man unless he’s my mate as in a fiancee or husband ..

I totally agree. If the law says based on his earnings he should pay $8000 then that’s just it. Does’nt matter whether she’s the mistress,jump off or a one night stand. Wanna play then u gotta pay. This is just my opinion, he should pay her child support. If a man wants to play he should be expected to pay. He had a choice, it is called birth control, and he chose not to use it. Now, he has a responsibility to the child he helped to conceive. That innocent little boy did not ask to be born and he deserves to be treated the same as T-Pains other children.

Seeing how black men are absent from our children’s lives I could never be able to condone a man not claiming or taking care of his child. Even if its out of wedlock or outside of our relationship. I don’t think I would want 500 a month from a man that made 15 mill in one year, even though she probably got pregnant on purpose. If she takes him to court he will probably be forced to pay a higher amount of money, which would be what he deserves for not wrapping it up.

None of these greedy a$# women ever want to relinquish custody…do they? If it’s sooooo hard to take care of a child and requires sooooo much money, then turn the baby over to the father and request regular visitation. There, problem solved. Too easy though…huh?
No musical entertainer makes the same income year after year. You have hot & cold streaks, and more often then not, they are cold. So what he made a supposed $15 million this past year (BEFORE taxes I’m sure). I assure you that he can’t keep up that pace year after year with constant recording and touring, especially with a family. So what he blew $400,000 of HIS hard-earned money on a useless chain. It’s his god damn money and everybody blows money at some time in their life ‘when they got it to blow’. And the intellectually challenged seem to forget that it was purchased ONE time, not every month or every year!
If more women were paying child support based on past and projected earnings, there would be picket lines around the block at the local domestic relations office. I don’t care if you’re a billionaire, there are limits on what you spend to care for a child. Even happily married couples do not spend tens of thousands of dollars every single month on their child (children) just because it’s available. Frugality, and pure common sense set in when people learn how to get along and work things out together.

Generally the child’s schooling - paid…clothing - on the regular, food - seriously?…toys & recreation - are you kiddin’ me, trust fund - set.
