Designer Rachel Roy has risen through the ranks of her ex-husband, hip-hop businessman Damon Dash, to become a well-known figure in the fashion industry. Vogue Tv recently sat down with the mom of two to take a behind the scenes look at her everyday life as a fashion designer and a mom. Rachel’s daughters with Damon Dash, Ava,9, and Tallulah Ruth,1, appear in several parts of the three part series.

No, that would be her ex-husband Damon Dash who has a son (he had with another women) who is in between the two girls in age. His name is Lucky (I think).

How is she tired of the Baby Mamma Drama? isn’t she still with him ?
She filed for divorce earlier this year. That’s why he is listed as her ex-husband. I don’t know if he has any other children but he was engaged to Aaliyah after Ava was born and then they got back together after Aaliyah’s tragic death. Maybe she was tired of a lot of things. Cute kids though!

I was always amazed that she married him in the first place, and stayed with him as long as she did. No accounting for taste, I guess.
I agree. All the back and forth business not to mention “young Lucky’s” addition in between the girls made me wonder why she stayed.

I agree! I am no fashion designer, so I may not know what she does, but I just don’t like her clothes. They’re boring! Now is daughter Ava is 9, so he cheated on Aaliyah with Rachel? Wondering because him and Aaliyah were dating for two yrs…..Anybody know?

Thats not true Dame married Rachel in 2005 and aaliyah died like 7 or 8 years ago? So that doen’t make sense.
LMAO at the people saying Dame and Aaliyah were in “engaged” when they were NOT. According to Dame they “planned” on getting married, they :weren’t engaged or anything” but they “definetly talked about it”. Those are they words (or liking of the words) I recall coming out of Dame’s mouth when I watched a clip of him talking about Aaliyah on YouTube.

Tiana, you might be right about Damon and rachel marrying in 2005, but Rachel was with him a long time before that definitely, before Aaliyah.
True because she use to be an intern at Roca Wear and she ended up working there. Then started dating Dame which is when he made her in charge of the womens division of Roca Wear. Then it seemed like he practically left her for Aaliyah even though they had a child.
I just love her. She is beautiful and a great mom with 2 beuatiful children.
