A STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING

‘Twas a fine Tuesday afternoon at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Little Sasha,8, Malia,11, and Bo Obama were giddy with excitement: their daddy the President was due to return from a business trip to Ohio.

As Sasha, Malia, and Bo the family dog waited patiently at the front of their house, they felt a gush of wind descend upon them.  They looked up and saw the Marine One helicopter. They could hardly contain their excitement.

Sasha Obama and the family dog were the first to run to greet their father, President Barack Obama. Sasha ran then Malia and Bo followed. Though Sasha made it to her dad first, everyone got hugs from daddy.

And they all hugged happily ever after…

The End.

What a kodak moment of the girls and Bo… And I love the photo of Bo laying on his back. You can tell they are a close knit family.

Again he is not God.He can’t change everything. He is a human. A father who loves his children and they love him.

I love to that. Stay strong Obama and Trust in God.

Toni, unfortunately so many children don’t have fathers to greet. So many don’t have fathers in the home. It’s a sad state of affairs, but so true. I know I didn’t. Children are so blessed to have GOOD fathers in their household.

I agree, so many kids don’t have the daddy to run too. Many only have Mrs.MommyandDaddy to go to and thats great but it’s not enough to me.

It is sad! I was lucky enough to have a step father and grandfather to experience this with!

Now that’s what i’m talking about, Black fatherhood! We need to see more positive images of our brothers who are out there being good damn fathers!

I still get chills. My president, his wife, and their children are BLACK! My first lady wears a scarf to bed at night, lol :)
It supersedes pigment, its about representation and relativity to our children and our children’s children! LOVE THEM.

It looks a bit too Disney movie to me…I have never seen children do this after their father came back from a short business trip.

Their father is the first African American President, and these are smart girls, they know what is going on in the world, I’m pretty sure they are concerned everytime their father leaves, and are over the moon when he returns home safe, and you don’t know where he was before he went on this “short business trip”. This is the kind of love a father is supposed to show his children.

      @ Anna,

I’m so sorry you never had the pleasure of experiencing or seeing a show of true love & joy.

While I did not do it to my mom & stepfather, my son has done it to me since he was able to crawl. Even before that, he would jump & bounce up & down when he’d see me. I could have came back from a day of work or a few hours of running errands, & he was always running to greet me w/a hug & kiss. My baby is now 13 years old & when I pick him up from the after school program or the sitter’s he still runs & gives me a hug hello. He doesn’t kiss me as much anymore :( , but I sneak a few in every now & then. :) )).

So in your opinion, if that is too Disney, then I love living my Disney life every day.

Amen, Sherley! That’s what I’m talking about. Your son will never get too big to love and appreciate his mama. We only get one mom (or dad if we are so blessed). I know I treasure my mom and I’m in my 40′s!
