PREGNANCY TALK WITH EXPECTANT MOM JOURDAN DUNN
Mom-to-be Jourdan Dunn,19, says that so far, her pregnancy has been great.
“I’m feeling really well,” Dunn told Vogue at the Fashion Night Out event in NYC last week. “I’ve been so lucky. No morning sickness or anything – which is great – just a bit of heartburn and some backpain, but otherwise I’m really well.”
As far as her cravings go, Jourdan hasn’t been craving anything out of the ordinary.
“Bread is the only thing I’ve been craving, so nothing really weird. Thank goodness!”
In the meantime, Jourdan says that she is “taking it very easy.”
“I have stopped working, really. “I’m taking it very easy – just doing little special things here and there. I wanted to be here tonight[for Fashion Night Out] – but I am not working for a while now.”
After the birth of her child, Jourdan plans to take some time off from the runaway and doesn’t anticipate returning to work till next season. She will “see how she feels once the baby arrives.”
Jourdan and her boyfriend of three years are expecting a baby boy this December.

Anywho…most models have been in the industry since like 13/14 and grow up waaayyy faster than an avg girl going to school. This chick has traveled the world and over…who are you to state where her maturity level is at 19? And as far as her making a name for herself–she’s been had a name in the fashion industry. American fashion is light years behind Europe and she’s been hot and known for more than a minute.

she has not been modelling since she was 14/15 she got discovered when she was 17/18 (cant remember which) in london and her career took off straight away. The way i see it is (being from london myself) is that she got an opportunity that most girls would die for to become a top model basically overnight BUT then to go and get pregnant at lets face it the beginning of her career is kind of disappointing. We were all rooting for her, but never mind a baby is a blessing and thats what she wants so oh well

Damn.. I hate she had to get knocked up so soon. Seems like she was going to be the next Tyra Banks. Although it is a blessing to have a baby. I think she should have made her self well-known compared to what she already is. This would enable her to get back on her feet in no time and get a job right off the bat. Because while she is tending to her baby there might be more fresher younger girls that come in that can easily take her spot. But I am honestly not saying that her career is over. But things in this day and age do move fast. Oh well.. Better luck next time.

She looks like the teen that she is. That is so young to become a mom.
She is very pretty and still young, hopefully she will be able to resume her modeling career once she has baby.
Wishing her well and that the support is there (friends, her parent(s), the baby’s father) besides just having a decent bank account.

Lilkunta– you sound like you are waaaayy of base. She’s walks w/ grown womena and upcoming models; I never saw her at a girl scout meeting modeling. What if you’re 29, 39, etc.. and your child’s father leaves you? Is that any less straining? This girl has a career!!! Not a job–a career to come back to if she pleases and that can support her lifestyle.

Tosha, how do you know for sure that she wasn’t using protection? Condoms break, and pills can fail?? Abstinence is the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy.
And even if she didn’t, what business is it of yours. This is just one child with a mom that is young enough to still direct her life as she pleases.
No it is not an ideal situation in my opinion, but I am sure baby and mom will be just fine.

I had my daughter when I was 18. I had the means to support her. She was/is very well taken care of (she’s kind of spoiled lol). I am still with her father and we are engaged to be married. I am enrolled full time in school and I work as well.
With that being said, it kind of upsets me that BCK is doing such light-hearted posts on her talking about the joys of pregnancy. I’m not saying they should lock her in the basement or that she should be miserable and not talk about her pregnancy at all. However, I feel like posting interviews about how great she’s feeling and how she’s embracing her curves is sending the wrong message. She has a great opportunity to speak up on teen pregnancy and instead of talking about how much of a set back it is or the trials she’ll face or things she’ll have to give up (and even though children are blessings, having one at such a young age IS a set back), she’s making it seem like it’s some wonderful journey that all girls should be experience. It’s like she’s glamourizing teen pregnancy
