Rapper KRS-One a.k.a. Lawrence Krishna Parker attended the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors show with his daughter Tyme on September 23, 2009.
KRS-One was once the leader of Boogie Down Productions, one of the most influential hip-hop groups in the ’80s. Later on, KRS-One branched off on his own and became known for his fiercely political and conscious raps(Check out his myspace page).

You never heard of him??? That’s KRS 1, one of the greatest Hip Hop Artists of All time. He’s got over 10 Albums out (maybe 15). You need to definatley Google him or ask Somebody…
The only thing I can think of is maybe Shayla was born in the late 90′2… cant c no other way she never heard of KRS with hits like South Bronx,Criminal Minded (that was my jam) etc. Man can we get back rap like dat.

I don’t get it, either. I still listen to classic music that came out generations before me. It’s indicative of the fickle popular culture in recent times.

If you search for alot of his RECENT stuff, you’ll find some mindblowin’ joints done with the likes of Poor Righteous Teachers, Immortal Technique, Buckshot, Marley Marl, Public Enemy, and some other Hip Hop cats that are STILL actually sayin’ something.
