16-year-old Trey Smith, the son of actor Will Smith, is a junior now at Oaks Christian H.S in Westlake Village. Unlike his siblings, actors Willow and Jaden Smith, Trey is not looking to be an actor. These days, it appears that Trey is much interested in playing football.

Could Trey be the next big thing in football ?  Oaks Christian coach Bill Redell thinks so. Coach Redell believes that Trey is developing into a Division I college prospect. According to reports, Will Smith is a proud papa; Will has even cleared his schedule so he can attend all of Trey’s games.

Trey is a wide receiver at Oaks Christian H.S.

I hope he does create his own outside of his smaller siblings. In my opinion, those two are so “Hollywood” aleady. Trey seems to be enjoying a normal high school experience. Good for him. Way to go Will for being there for your first born.

Why do the two little one’s have to be “Hollywood” already, when they just want to do what they see their mother and father do. I doubt that anyone in the family is “Hollywood” because if they were Proud papa would not have cleared his schedule to go ALL his son’s high school football games, vs. making millions.

What does it mean “Hollywood”? He is at that teenage where he is interested in sports like most guys his age. He lives with his Mom and has a baby sister. When the other two reach his age they will be more involved in sports with their peers maybe.

That’s so nice of Will! How many people can actaully say they’d take all their time out to see every last football game for their son. AWWW!

Nick Montana, Trevor Gretzky, and Trey Smith? Damn! I bet those games are off the chain, haha. I would go just to gawk at their fathers.

I hear the boys are great though. Getting scouted based off their talent and not just their last name. That is how you do it. Names will only get you so far.

Kim………some children r born with acting, singing, dancing, etc in their blood. Trey looks just like Will, he is a handsome young man. I have never seen him with his mother, why not? Anyway, I dont think information like where he attends school should have been given out, people r to crazy these days.

I almost agree with the person who says the younger kids are hollywood…I think people took that comment in a negative way.. Willow doesn’t seem to wanna act b/c her momma acts… she wants the attention. I’ve seen her in a number of interviews, and events and it seems she wants to make sure Jaden isn’t get all the attention.. That was my observation…..
On the other hand, Trey has never seemed interested in the lime light…aka hollywood. B/c he is for sure a star on the field, and in his parents …Both sets EYES. I love the UNITY in this family. It is unique and seems soo loving and supportive.

IA with Khrish, especially when Jaden has said “I think my mom and dad have a cool job” and Willow has said “I wanna be like mommy” it’s pretty obvious why they’re interested in acting.

I’ve heard Jada say a few times that Jaden may not even wanna keep acting after a while, and if he doesn’t that’s fine with them.

When Trey was younger he was no stranger to the spotlight. He did some acting, modeling and reporting for Access Hollywood, maybe as he got older he decided it wasn’t what he wanted to pursue. There’s really no reason to be measuring these kids off one another or doing a compare/contrast of how they’re being raised. They seem like a loving, supportive blended family to me. I wish all the kids success in whatever they do.

I love that that Trey has been given the space to develop his own interests separate from the family business. I love even more that all his parents turn out and support him. Lots of parents have the luxury to clear their schedules and yet they still find other things to do.

He definitely looks more like will than his mother( as does Willow and Jaden looks like Jada to me), Will always seemed like a great father who is close to his kids, remember when he and Trey had the ” Just the two of us ” song ( before the other kids were born, before Will and Jada married it was just Trey and Will for a long time, and Trey is a nickname by the way, he is actually named like his father ( as in William). Also I believe Will and his ex wife share custody and b/c their son goes to a particular school he spends his time at the home closest to that school. I love the Smith family they seem very nice and family oriented.

I love the Smith family. It appears Trey took more after his mom as far as not wanting anything to do with acting, etc…I wish him luck.

As far as the other two, with Will and Jada as their parents, its in their dna to be in the entertainment industry…its not uncommon for children to enter that world when their parents are movie stars (Will)..it happens more than it doesn’t. I don’t feel its something Will and Jada are pushing on them, it was decided by the kids..they’ve stated many times if they decide the business isn’t for them they’ll support them as well.

I wish Jaden and Willow nothing but luck…love this family.

I am so happy for Trey. I’m glad that he is doing well in football. His step-father, who is now a Pastor, is a former NFL player. I’m sure his whole family is beaming with pride.

A lot of children follow in their parents footsteps. I see nothing wrong with that as long as they truly want to and are not being pushed, and I doubt that’s the case here. I honestly believe that gifts often flow through generations and it’s no doubt that Will and Jada are gifted in that area. But I think that Will and Jada would be proud of their children no matter what career they pursue. And I for one would not be mad at Jayden and Willow if they decided to continue acting. First of all, Jayden’s performance in The Pursuit of Happiness showed that he was a natural. Jayden really held his own in that movie, especially being his first one. And Jackie Chan really praised Jayden’s work ethic. He was very impressed at his manners, professionalism and how teachable he was . KeKe gave Willow some of the same praise. It seems by these testimonies that these children don’t walk on the set with a big head just because they carry the last name Smith. Will seems to be very serious about what he does and I’m sure he expects the same from his children, whether football, acting or whatever.

Secondly, we need good black actors/actresses in Hollywood. Ones that can break barriers because there are still so many that need to be broken. Will has broken many barriers in Hollywood and has maintained a good reputation and if his children continue in that way, then good for them. I look forward to seeing what they are going to do and I will fully support them, at this point, I have no reason not to. I also want to see what Trey is going to do on the field.

On another note, did you know that Trey’s mom Sheree has a product called Whoop Ash that is suppose to be really good for dry skin. Just passing along the information. The website is the product name.

I sort of agree with Ms. Hill. I don’t know if she meant it in a negative way, but I don’t. When I have seen Jayden in interviews he always appeared to be very calm, sometimes aloof, mature, and self contained. Very little of the young gaiety you would expect from a child his age on occasion. My initial reaction was how well spoken, impressive, but odd (too polished). That being said, I love, love, love this family. And more importantly, I am so proud of them.
