Notice how long this post has been up and how few have come here to post? That’s just how much we think about our health. There’s more interest in who had a baby by someone than talking about our lives and how to keep it a good life. It’s like we run away and hide from these kind of blogs.

Investing money in America is only part of the problem. Attitudes have to change or else money will continue to go down the drain. While it may treat more of those who already have HIV, its not stoping the new cases. I believe Khrish hit the nail on the head. BET had a WRAP IT UP campaign which should continue. Uganda can be a great example for people living with HIV and preventing the spread of it. There are three important things in Uganda success which can be use in America. 1. Getting people tested. 2. Programs to treat pregnant women who have HIV and 3. and most important of all. getting women and men to change their attitude and wrap it up to stop new cases.

Thank you, Khrish, and then people get mad when you continue to mention it. They can’t get it through their thick noggins that this stuff is real. All you hear is, “don’t judge” blah, blah, blah. We have a “baby mama” culture going on, and it’s often applauded in our communities. No wonder HIV/AIDS is out of control.

People continue to talk about AIDS and Africa and other places and it’s just as worse here. They say in washington dc the hiv and aids rates are worse than sub suharan africa. Yet noone has studied why the rates in our community has been rising but they can go half way around the world to study issues and raise money for these issues. Everyone needs funds but it will be nice if someone take it upon themselves and figure out american issues that afect americans especially if certain groups are affected more than others. Seems like people should be taking care of home instead of other places.

Africa has more black billionaires than america does and they are worth more than the american black billionaires, what are they doing for their continent?

Like Magic Johnson said, ‘there’s a little Africa in America’ and this little Africa is growing into a big Africa.

HIV ALIVE, I just wonder how long it’s going to take all of us to realize the facts of your post. Especially when you continue to see our people having babies by the same men which reminds us that we are still playing Russian Roulette with our lives. It’s time to get serious about our lives.

AIDS is one of the top three causes of death for African American men aged 25–54 and for African American women aged 35–44 years in the United States of America. In the United States, African Americans make up about 47% of the total HIV-positive population and more than half of new HIV cases, despite making up only 12% of the population. African American women are 19 times more likely to have HIV than white women.

Quick note; Iman is African and Padma is Indian.
