UPCOMING:SINGER DIONNE BROMFIELD
13-year-old Dionne Broomfield, the goddaughter of singer Amy Winehouse, is an up and coming British singer.
“I was hoping to be a doctor, but I didn’t like blood so that went out the window! So I started singing quite a lot and [one day] I was at Amy’s house and she started singing and I started joining in, not thinking anything of it, and she said to my mum ‘she can sing’. Since then [when she was 10], I’ve wanted to be a singer. Amy influenced me a lot and she gives me lots of advice.” (source)
Dionne’s debut album Introducing Dionne Bromfield is out now, and was released through Amy Winehouse’s Lioness Records label. Dionne’s album features 12 classic songs that “reflect her love of vintage soul music and ‘60s girl groups.”

sure Amy has been on drugs but that doesnt make her a bad person. pretty sure the little girl’s mother wouldnt have her around Amy if she thought she was a bad role model. whitney was on drugs for yrs and still manage to raise her daughter well. no one chooses to be an addict its a disease that takes time and is very hard to overcome

I think she’s trying to sing like Amy, hopefully she’ll find her own vocal style. I hope that’s as far as it goes and she doesn’t follow her example and go down that road. Keep that child from Amy, please.

I like it:) She has a good voice and she seems like she’s enjoying herself. I just think she needs to relax a bit and then it may come across more natural. The best part for me is she is being her age. She is not trying to grow to fast.

She just doesn’t seem like a natural. She’s so nervous in this video, you can tell. Her voice is so-so. When I think of a singer that was great at the age of 13, I think of Monica or Brandy back in the day. They were naturals and had the attitude and stage presence to go with it. This video looks like the kid down the street decided to make a video for fun, that’s all.

i was thinking the same thing! but i didn’t want anyone saying oh, why are you being mean to a 13 yr old. but it’s true. she’s just so-so. i’m not wowed by her voice. but she’s a pretty little girl nonetheless. i just think maybe singing isn’t her thing. if she wasn’t acquainted with Amy, would she have even made it this far? probably not. that’s how i look at it. maybe being a doctor wasn’t for her, but she seems like a bright little girl, she’s got plenty of time to find her way. but let’s start by her parents keeping her around better influences, cause Amy ain’t it.
She did seem so nervous! I felt kind of bad for her but I am assuming she had fun.
She is a pretty girl with a great sound.I just don’t like how she is wearing a lot of make-up in one of the pictures for a girl of only 13. My momma would kill me for that! But I hope she does well and stays grounded. I hope her godmom learned from her mistakes and doesn’t push them on her goddaughter.

She’s a doll, but please let your godmother be an example for what NOT to do. Children are a lot smarter than we think, and are very observant. With the right guidance, she’ll be fine.

She has pretty eyes, and can sing, but so many of these kids can…we’ll see if she can break out of the pack.
No, her god mom is not a good role model, hope she can clean up her act one day…
All that’s going through my mind is, Lord please let this little girl.
Amy maybe a different person outside of the papp but Dionne still gets to see it nonetheless.
