MERCY IN LONDON

Mercy James, the three-year-old daughter of singer Madonna, was spotted in London with her nanny yesterday .
In related news, it is being rumored that Madonna wants to meet the biological dad of Mercy James. The Mirror claims that a source told them that “Madonna wants Mercy to learn all about her culture and the community where she was born. She realises her kids need a sense of home and she’s determined to do all she can to give that to them. She doesn’t want to deny Mercy anything in life - and that includes meeting her dad if that’s possible.”

Whats she up to tryinig to get the girl sick wheres her hat and scarf she dont even have her jacket buttoned up she should realize if she cold enough to have that then the child should too
Exactly what I was thinking…She needs to zip up the baby’s jacket and put her on a hat…It looks cold!

I agree. I never did get why ppl wear heavy coats but dont zip them to seal in the warmth? My parents always made me zip up b4 we stepped outside.

yh its cold here bt maybe they just walkd out of a shop? OR maybe she was gtin hot n needed to feel the fresh air! Those down filled coats do get pretty hot sumtimes!
she is wearing a thick sweater underneath the coat. i dont thnk its that cold because we would be able to tell by mercys expression. yau all bettas be glad she is even wearing a coat. the way these celeb have their kids dressing.
So she knows the child mother? I would want her to know about both parents, and their backgrounds and cultures, when she is ready.

@dashayna : Sadly-just as in developed countries– in developing coutries girls begin having kids @ a young age. This was the case w Mercy’s mother. I dont think she was raped. All the reports say she ws orphaned when her mother died, her father isnt ever mentioned.
Mercy’s maternal family (grandma Lucy Chekechiwa; uncle John Nglanade) never raised any alarm.
Wow….how does anyone here know if it’s cold in London. I am suprised no is compaining about the childs hair this time. She looks very happy to me.
Apparently it is cold because they have on jackets and sweaters and the lady has on a hat and a scarf…So I’m going to make an educated guess and say it’s Cold

@airforcegirl : Meryc’s hair is done which is why there arent comments. EVERY TIME we see Zahara her hair is loose. I dont think it is too much trouble to gather the hair up in a bun. It takes 2 minutes. Use a wide teeth comb so it wont hurt.
It is autumn in London. In the US it was 40degrees in NY where Mercy partially lives. It is also 40degrees in London. So that is y we are all saying she needs to be bundled up.
Plus Mercy is from tropical Malawi. Cold in Malawi is 70 degrees. It takes time for her body to acclimate to 40 degreee temperatures.
The childs other is not alive.
Well, I’m in France and it’s pretty chilly, I see people with scarves everywhere, but there is also girls in skirts in the streets. I myself get very hot sometimes, I’m just not ready for hats and scarves, but I guess some people are. Maybe little Mercy is not. It’s not because she’s from Africa that she’s sensitive to the cold…
I would not call it an educated guess because the kid looks happy to me, and being educated, I know that cold weather does not make people sick. Germs and Viruses do.
This girl is so cute!! I DONT UNDERSTAND why the bloggers in this site are criticizing this young girl about her clothes.When they should look at her cuteness. When we look at other celebrity kids with thier OUTFITS, HOW COME they DONT CRITICIZE THIER CLOTHES? is it because shes an AFRICAN GIRL ADOPTED BY A WHITE WOMAN … SHAME ON YOU!!!
IF Mercy was of a lighter complexion, I bet you she would get better comments than just 2-3 good comments above !!!!
i’m sorry but mercy looks like a cute boy. as a girl…. no comment, and it has nothing to do with her color. adam sandlers daughter looks like a boy to me too and not a cute one either.

I think she’s adorable. I am so happy for her. She could have grown up in an orphanage, but she gets to travel all over the world and so many opportunities are now afforded to her, that she never would have had. It makes me happy to know she is loved, even if it is Modonna. I don’t know Madonna personally but she seems to really love both Mercy and David. It seems real and not a publicity stunt.
So if I don’t have anything nice to say… I’m not suppose to say anything at all… really then… too mad… I personally don’t like her hair… but I like that madonna has made an attempt to make sure she has kept some of her culture.( u know the style.) As for this child meeting her father… I mean are u serious? Then adopt him too.. And while she’s at it she should adopt a tribe. I don’t like this business of these celebrities going to other countries picking the children out like picking a gumball out of a big machine… wanna do something for these kids… help their parents… help a tribe or two.
And Ms. Educated above… the very smart woman who said cold weather doesn’t give you a cold… look some things you learn in a book are from people who killed themselves trying to prove science over common sense… so go test this out… get naked sit outside in 30 degree weather for 2hrs and then tell me how u feel the next day.
I don’t believe that tabloid gossip about Mercy going to meet that man who claims to be the father because Mercy’s grandmother and uncles never recognized him as a father and said he was only seeking fame and money. They don’t want him to see Mercy, so I think Madonna will respect their wishes. I do think Madonna will take both Mercy and David to see their relatives, friends, and country. Are people forgetting both children were in an orphanage for years? I think it’s nice that she keeps them in touch with their culture and hopefully their language too and they are learning about other languages and culture (Lourdes, who is Latina, speaks Spanish and French and all the children also speak French). There are parents here who don’t even do that.
As for the clothes, it was cool, but not that cold. The woman with Mercy is wearing a light trench coat. Lourdes was also with her sister Mercy in other pictures and she was wearing thin leggings and a light leather jacket. Mercy has on a thick sweater and heavy, lined winter jacket with a hood. If she were cold, she would zip it up and put the hood on, but she looks like she’s very comfortable.
Mercy is actually only 3 years old. Madonna said so in an interview and she also said Mercy and David are going to school together. Her birthday is January 22, 2006.
@keisha: Lourdes is not a good gage. ShHe is 13. At that age teen dress for fashion not weather.
Mercy (and David) are so blessed. There will always be cultural issues to tackle but I am clear that everything is unfolding in perfect order. Especially for everyone hating on Madonna, what would you talk about… thank heavens that she keeps your minds so occupied.
I am always praying for those children, that they are properly adjusting to the changes and able to adapt to their new reality. Madonna doesn’t need to do publicity stunts anymore, I think that she has more than made a name for herself.
Kisses and hugs to the kids… they are beautiful (as any innocent child is…)
