Tyrese and his former wife, Norma Mitchell, share custody of little Shayla.

Michael Jackson’s This is It, in theaters today (October 28th), will offer Jackson fans a behind-the-scenes look at the legendary performer as he  rehearsed for his sold-out concert that would have taken place  this past summer in London’s O2 Arena.

CUTE! GLAD TO SEE SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE “USED” TO HIM BY NOW. LOL! SHE USED TO LOOK LIKE SHE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HIM! LOL NEVERTHELESS, CUTE!

  • coco says:

    She is so adorable.

  • BrwnSantiLove says:

    Cuteness…

  • DDonDiva says:

awwwww how cute with his lil daddy bag..lol

  • dashayna says:

his daughter is what tyrese would looks like if he was a lite skin female, too cute

  • Mel from Toronto says:

Not hating…but why would you bring a baby to a movie premiere?

  • yo says:

It’s cute that they’re always together but it seems kind of weird that he brings her to adult oriented events. Like, what two year old is sitting through a movie that’s not a cartoon?

  • BB says:

Tyrese looks handsome in these pics and his daughter looks adorable.

  • Lauryn says:

    she looks quiet and shy.
i want to see her smile.

but she’s very cute.. so is he.

  • Nikki says:

Who cares why he brought his daughter, he is spending time with her which is a good thing and it is a MJ production, it’s not like he has her at a shoot em up movie. Good for him, happy to see him doing what a father should be.

    • Toni A. says:

Either way she’s still young and the sound may frighten her. Also I doubt this movie will capture her attn the entire time, but she’s not the only child there so he’s in luck!

A father and child bonding is a good thing to see!

    • SweetDiva says:

In the pics I’ve seen of this event Shayla looks scared to death of the cameras and noise. Tyrese can skip the red carpet and still enjoy bonding time with his daughter. He seems more interested in the photo op.

  • Monique says:

I met him once and he was a complete jerk and full of himself. Beautiful little girl though.

  • shawn says:

    @dashayna

she look just like her mom

    • dashayna says:

4 real? u really think so? i never look too closely at the mom but i do think she favors him

its probably on of those things when the baby looks just like both parents, and the parents don’t look anything alike.

Like Swiss Beat and Mashonda’s son, gosh he looks just like both of them and they look nothing alike.

  • Nunya says:

Michael Jackson is entertaining for all ages…that wasn’t a very intelligent question. Maybe Tyrese wants his daughter to see Michael’s last performance. Two year-olds can be entertained by more than just cartoons. If he WASN’T seen with the girl, then people would be hating on THAT!!! You people always have to find something wrong with things….HATERS!!! Cute kid….good for Tyrese for being a REAL daddy!!

    • Toni A. says:

      I disagree.

MJ is NOT entertaining for all ages! He is known for groping himself in a way that young children should not be watching. Secondly, taking a child to the movies, is like sitting them in front of a television. What kind of bonding can go on while watching a movie?! Lastly, If he would’ve shown up to this event without his daughter, I don’t think anyone would’ve mind because it’s not a big deal.

I don’t think people are knocking their bonding(there are posts all over this site with him and his little one), they’re just asking why bring a baby to a movie premiere?! Not all babies, sleep or even pay attention to movies.

  • just dani says:

Anybody notice her sequined pants, high white socks & black jacket? (just like mjGood job Tyrese, tooooo cute!!

  • Joy says:

Toni seriously what bug is up ur butt…do u really think that all these kids who looked up to Michael saw him as some one who “touched” himself in a sexual manner that you are implying or as him doing something bad/wrong. Most kids when asked would tell you that it’s his dancing that has them being a fan.

And for the record a parent CAN bond with a child “watching t.v.” as you so put it. As long as that parent makes watching t.v. into interactive play time and not (let the t.v. babysit them) you will see a response from that child.

One point you did make was that not every child would be still to watch a movie BUT they’re kids they’re NOT suppose to be statue’s OMGOSH…but just because of that why deny them such an experience…I’m sure most parents know that there’s a possiability that they might have a fussy child but obviously they’re willing take that chance and it’s their darn money and perogative…

    SMH…

    • Toni A. says:

First off let me state that I am a huge fan of MJ, but I stick by what I said. I don’t think children watching MJ doing his famous “grabbing of his crotch” looks at it in a sexual manner because they don’t know any better. However, adults should know! Do I think he was doing something wrong? Heck no!It’s one of his signature moves. The fact is(whether you like it or not), any man groping himself IS inappropriate for young children to watch, and that is what I was stating.

As for my comment towards him and his daughter bonding, I am somewhat incorrect. Him taking the time to take his daughter to this premiere is bonding, but at Shayla’s age I don’t think her dad taking her to see “This Is It” is exactly appealing to her(this is MY opinion). Maybe if it was a film for young children, then okay.

Also, I did NOT refer to children as being statues! I said most of them would not sleep through the film, and out of those children who are awake, most of them would lose interest eventually! He can waste his money if he wants, I could care less! But if I am paying 12 bucks to see a movie, I don’t want to hear a crying or loud baby in the theatre!

Lastly, the next time you want to respond to my comment, please do so without the rudeness(talking about a bug being up my butt)! I wasn’t replying to you, and I wasn’t responding to Nunya in a demeaning way.

      Now I’m shaking my head.

      • Ty says:

Toni should just shut up. So ignorant. All in an outrage because a man took his daughter to a movie premier. Lol. Proof that evolution still has a long way to go before *some* people evolve past the primate stage. The crotch grab is hardly all that MJ did and a few seconds glance at that is not going to harm anyone. GET REAL!!!!

        • Khrish says:

As I said above, I agree with Toni about the “time span”. Children have a set amount of time for interest in any subject. If you know anything about them, you will know that you can only hold their attention for a given time according to age. This is a long film for a child her age. Whether you think he should have taken her or not isn’t really the question. She’s two, a book that is over 10 minutes long will not hold her attention.

          • Toni A. says:

Right Khrish. That was my point on the post before I let folks get me off topic! Smh at myself!

As for the Cyber Bullies up here who can’t respond without being disrespectful, I’m not going to entertain such trash.

      • Shelley says:

Come on he wasn’t grabbing himself like Lil Wayne does that’s for sure you can certainly tell the difference. Anyway’s for me watching his moves he puts his hand infront he isn’t really touching & feeling. Calm down it isn’t that serious. Even if it is a photo Op, who cares. I see nothing wrong with him bringing the child to the red carpet event & to see the movie. What’s so wrong about that? I’m sure if she gets restless he would leave with her. People get over it & appreciate beautiful black performers & their kids….Sheesh!!!

  • Kluv says:

This baby does not look like her dad. She looks like her mom. I wonder if people are blind at times. I say that in a joking type way. Cute baby.

  • Nikki says:

    @ Ty

I agree with you Toni should just shut up.

  • anoymos says:

she is so cute. she look nothing like him. and why would you bring a child to a movie premeire.shayla looks scared. probably the papparazzi. i love her name unlike willow, montana, langston. dlia star, jessie james a boys name, deliah, shiloh, nico, ripley, and phoenix. her hair looks a lot better than willows braids, ripley, zahara, henry or johan hair. it just always looks messed up.

  • Mrs.Jazzy says:

She look nothing like him that her mom in a little person body!

  • Nunya says:

If you want to nitpick about a singer bringing his child to Michael Jackson’s last performance, you really need to reflect on your life and see where you went wrong. Of all the ‘wrong’ things that you can comment on…and this is what you choose to criticize?

Find a hobby at the very least…

    • Khrish says:

No one was nit picking. The article stated where the picture of the man with his baby was taken. That solicited comments and views. For the comments and views to be nit picking would mean that the pictures of all the stars with their children with explanation of where they and this man and his child were at the time the picture was taken WAS NIT PICKING.
