PAULA TALKS ABOUT THOSE INFAMOUS BABY RUMORS FROM LAST YEAR
When actress Paula Patton showed up to the opening night of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Las Vegas last year, wearing a gray baby doll dress, rumors spread that she was pregnant with her first child.
“It was a baby doll dress, and it was after the holidays. I probably gained a good 10-15 pounds, I don’t know, and suddenly after one picture, I was pregnant,” the Precious actress, 33, reveals to Ok!. “What are you going to do? It’s life. I wish it happened. That would’ve been better.”
Paula first learned about the baby rumors while on vacation last summer.
“We went to Bora Bora for a vacation, and Robin got a text from (director) Hype Williams, and it said, ‘Congratulations…’ He said, ‘People kinda think you’re pregnant.’”
“It was heartbreaking because, after everything - all the work I’d done - that was all people knew me for”, Paula said to Giant magazine recently.
Now that Paula and her husband Robin Thicke are actually expecting, perhaps those baby rumors can now be put to rest.

I think it’s because a lot of people were confused. I know that people here on BCK thought she was pregnant a year ago, and then when it came out her and Robin were expecting their first baby, people thought they already had one. I think that’s why she’s dispelling the rumor, but I can’t say for sure.
It’s actually her own bizness whether or not she was preggers. I personally only care about the present.
That’s exactly why I dont like to wear baby doll dresses or tops because they make you look bigger/pregnant. Some of them are not flattering as in Paula’s case it made her look pregnant when she wasnt. I’m sure she will get alot of wear out of it now.

Rumor? I’m sorry but she did look pregnant back than. Baby doll dresses can make you look pregnant but that’s more than just 10-15 pounds weight gain. If she can gain that much weight & look like that after a holiday meal, she better be careful during her pregnancy. I was thinking a while back when I seen pics, if she was pregnant, maybe the baby didn’t make it or they decided not to keep it, that’s why they didn’t want to address the situation. Just my thoughts.
You’re right Realist. Paula Patton WAS pregnant, and it’s obvious from the pics from last year, you can see it all in her face…the BOOBS! That’s not weight from good eatin’ over the holidays. She unfortunately miscarried…I guess it’s just difficult for her to say.
but you just felt the need to say it for her? You ppl are real smart (can you feel the sarcasm)….why would she have to lie about that? And if God forbid she did have to go through that, who are you that she should have to come out and speak on what would’ve been a painful time in her life.
