Singer Toni Braxton was joined by her son Denim Cole(born December 2, 2001) at the 2009 American Music Awards on November 22, 2009. Toni confirmed recently on the Wendy Williams show that she and her husband Teri Lewis are separated.
“I’m a little sad about it. I really don’t like being separated. I enjoyed being married, but we are definitely separated. We’re great friends and we have kids together and we still work together, but um, yeah, we are separated.”
Toni and her estranged husband also have a son named Diezel,6.

So i was listening when Toni Braxton came on the steve harvey morning show. She’s asking steve about why men start bugging and talking about how men get the “seven year itch” or that “it must be eight years” in her case. She said that for a while she and her husband weren’t cool, but now things are good. That was 3 or so weeks before this who soul train fiasco. So I think they were still together when she kissed trey songz like that but when she did that it just put the nail in the coffin.
What a handsome young man. I haven’t seen a picture of him in so long. I see his dad in him a little, but I think he favors Toni more.
Toni Braxton looks fabulous and her son is adorable and is starting to look a lot like her. He is real cute. I think that Toni Braxton is happier. I think she will shine as a single woman and mother. I do believe married life and her career clashed. Some artist can handle being married and having that level of a career and some just find it difficult. Also, both of them ( her estranged husband ) are stars in their own right. So, all that the time apart can be hard. I think it is great that they remain friends in order to raise their children uniformally and I wish them all the best. Divorce is hard, never easy. But, she seems to wear the single life well. I think she appears to wear the single life well because they were separated before they made it public. I’m sure she went through it before they actually came out & told everyone. Now that emotional stage has probably kinda passed. Wishing them the best.
You’re right about that. Marriage & careers can clash. Seems to be really hard to hold it together when the woman is doing her thing as well. Look at Tiny & T.I. Although they’re not married, he didn’t want her to work. Think they broke up for a while behind that also. Not sure if he didn’t want her to out shine him or if it was really him wanting to live the old fashion way. Watching the reality show, he appeared to be a little insecure. When the ladies were going out & he called her to come home & was wondering if guys were over there. Hung up on her & everything. Yeah he was headed to prison & wanted some QT but I think the brother might be a little insecure regardless.
Her son is so handsome & Toni is working that dress. That woman can wear anything & make it look good (go girl).
Hate to hear about her & her husband. They’ve been together for a while. It’s sad when people grow apart or the marriage doesn’t work for whatever reasons after so many years.

It seems that when there is a child with disabilities involved, especially autism, there is a higher rate of divorce. Hope this was not the driving force in their marriage. She and her son are beautiful.

Big Toni fan here. Love her music. She has some real classics in her repetoire. Too bad she is not making the splash on the music scene that she had in the past. Always felt she should have been bigger.
Not liking that dress much on her here. Her son is cutee and looks a lot like her. Glad to see she seem to be doing fine in the midst of a separation and pending divorce.
