CHRISTMAS WITH KIMORA LEE SIMMONS AND FAMILY(video inside)
Baby Phat CEO Kimora Lee Simmons and her family are featured in the December 3rd issue of Page Six magazine. In the issue, Kimora talks about life with her husband Djimon Hounsou, their 6-month-old son Kenzo, and Kimora’s daughters from her previous marriage, Ming, 9, and Aoki, 7 .
As for her marriage to actor Djimon Hounsou, Kimora says that she officially married him last summer.
“The girls were there, and we had a wonderful time,” she says. “It was very calm, family-motivated and spiritual.”
“Djimon and I enjoy discussing anything from politics to wine, and we have enriching, private, happy, balanced lives together,” she says. “That’s probably the thing that would shock people most: We do things like go to the grocery store and have fun with our kids. We’re a normal family, doing the best we can,” she added.
So what’s Kimora’s favorite dish to make during the holidays?
“I bake. I make a great German chocolate cake. Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m a great baker, the best,” she tells Page Six magazine. “When I bake something, I swear to god, it’s gone before it hits the plate.”

I was wondering the same thing! IS THAT THE HOUSE?? It sure looks a lot like it (if not).
Russell is a good man for that one because I don’t know too many men that would have did that. They would rather sale the home than to see another man in it. But he has big money so it was probably nothing to him. At the same time they probably came to some sort of agreement so the kids could continue to grow up there.

Something about this pic looks incredibly forced
lol…maybe its the half smiles…makes me think back to twenty-something years ago when I had to stand up straight, smile and hold my sister’s hand for all our family photos. Smile or get whopp’d, Lord knows you had to be on point for the Sears/Olan Mills portrait.

I usually appreciate this family, but this seems a little too much for me. I personnally would hate to spend Christmas in such a big house. Although the decoration is astonishing, I don’t find it comfy or warm at all. And the photoshoot is very forced, look at them training to smiling… I feel like Kimora’s only concern was to show how wealthy she is. Since Djimon has known extreme poverty, I’m surprised that he would follow her caprices.

Ladies, please stop with the cattiness! This is a beautiful family and they really seem to love one another. What difference does it make what Kimora has on and if you like Djimon’s sweater! As for Aoki’s feet, she’s a child and sometimes children have to grow into their limbs! She will probably be tall like her mom! Grow up ladies and try to enjoy the holidays without tearing other people down!

Why is it that it doesn’t matter what photos are posted on this site someone ALWAYS has something negative to say about it? It’s Christmas so let Djimon have the goofy sweater, it’s not like it’s his everyday attire!!!!!!! And Kimora’s dress, yes it’s purple!!! But No it doesn’t look bad. Everyone that follows this young lady’s career knows that she prides her self in being unique and “Fab,” Red is easy and expected she wanted to be different her photo her choice…… Get over yourselves, wish them the best, compliment them on keeping their family unit tight, and KEEP it moving!!!!!! Hi,there. I appreciate your comment. At the same time, i have to say that nobody is saying anything bad about the family. They are commentin on superficial stuff sweater/ dress. So what? Everyone is supposed to say how wonderful everyone looks? They can’t say that the sweater looks goofy, which it does. C’mon. I think there is something to be said about freedom of speech. I am glad that this site monitors all the nasty stuff that could be said. I am also glad that we get to say that somebody’s sweater looks goofy. If Djimon were to ask me, “Did you think my sweater looked good?” I would say, No, Djimon, it looked goofy but your family is beautiful!”

If black families did more of what they are doing for love and happiness instead of cutting each other down, and judging why they are wearing the clothes they are wearing, more would last in marriage. U may think he looks silly in that sweater but that fact that he is wearing it speaks volumes. He wants to please kimora and it is just a sweater. She probably isn’t asking him to wear it everyday.

the picture is very nice. the sweater do look goffy but it fits the spirit of the holiday. i go agree that kimora dress is a lil overboard but if it was red to blend in with the family it wouldnt be kimora. i love the kids aoki is my fav she is getting so tall. i just love the way the girls seems so close to djimon. there a beautiful family and thanks for sharing your family with us.

For some it may bring up feelings of jealousy or anxiety to see families featured here thriving so well during these hard economic times. After all many celebrities featured here are millionaires and billionaires.
