It’s a boy for Philadelphia Eagle’s player Donovan McNabb and his wife Roxie. The couple welcomed their fourth child, a son named Devin James on Friday, November 20th.

Donovan announced the birth of his second son via his website last week.

“Today(November 25th) was my 33rd birthday and I’m so grateful for the many blessings I have received. First of all, I have four great kids. That’s right I said four. My beautiful 5-year old Alexis; my twins, Sariah and Donovan who turn one next week; and Devin James who was born last Friday night.”

Donovan also added that he is grateful for his wife Raquel, “whose beauty and strength I admire every day.”

Donovan and Roxie have been married since 2003.

Congratulations to the McNabbs. They are a very beautiful family and I love hearing a man, particularly a Black man, praise and appreciate his Black wife. So inspiring.

I feel that statement is an insult to this wonderful site that displays children of all color.. Sure, there seems to be a lot mixed-race children on this site, but they have dispalyed countless of pictures of children of Black celeb kids or otherwise. Zahara, Laila Ali, Madonna’s adopted daughter, Denzel, Monica Arnold, T.i.,Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, TBoz, Chilli Thomas,Brandy, and countless others. I feel that some commenters are so ignorant at times. How dark does one have to be to be considered “Black”? What in the world is the world coming to? A person who is very dark can only be considered black? Excuse me! I am black, perhaps a light shade. I am not in any way mixed(well, i am sure if we all go back to history, we will find that we are all mixed), so am i not black enough for you?

Please! Thanks BCK for this wonderful site. No other site does what you do and please do ingnore some insulting comments that i sometimes read on this site.

I agree 100%. ALL love is beautiful if two people genuinely love each other what does color have to do with it? NOTHING! As a black woman married to a a man who happens to be Asian (and mother of a mixed raced daughter)I find some of these comments on this site insulting and very very ignorant! Some of you really need to grow up, mind your own business , and get over yourself! That is all!

Not speaking for everyone else, but I think they meant Black love in the sense that a Black man and a Black woman married and then had kids. I don’t think people are talking about light skin/dark skin. It is rare for two Black people to create a family like the McNabbs. All of the examples you gave other than Denzel are either single parents or adopted. That doesn’t make them any less of a family, but it is nice to see a Black traditional family highlighted.

I beg to differ. I do think that people are talking about darkeness and such. There are many couples on this site that are married: Snoop Dogg and wife, Denzel and wife, Candace Parker and hubby, Lisa Leslie and hubby, Holly Robinson Peete and hubby, Laila Alia and hubby and countless others. So those people aren’t “Black Love”. I rest my case.People are making negative comments based on some underlying issues about their own color and how dark or light they are.

i beg to differ … when we talk about our president who is a mixed light skin black man and his lovely wife it’s referred to as black love so it’s silly to think it’s just a dark skin thing. i don’t know why some ppl are bringing up such irrelevant things. What it comes down to is the state of black families or the lack there of… period. So many people famous or not, aren’t married or aren’t living as one happy family like the McNabbs and Obamas ….

Furthermore some people stress Mrs.Mcnabb’s skintone so much b/c it’s rare to see these celebrities actually be with a black woman let alone a dark black woman. So when it finally happens it’s refreshing for some people who have been put down for so long for something they had no control over!!! I’m not even dark and it’s refreshing to me lol… We just have to accept that we live in a world where certain characteristics are celebrated while others were put down.

Nonethless, look at the pictures from Khloe and Lamar Odom’s wedding majority of the interracial couples were all black men with women of another race … don’t get me wrong here’s nothing wrong with interracial dating , i’ve dated outside my race so i can’t be against it. It just seems like these men purposefully go for anyone but black women both light or dark but mostly dark. but that’s just my opinion which i’m entitled to.

I’m sorry but most of the couples that Shanice mentioned are those where the woman is the main celebrity. Black women never have an issue being with black men of all shades,it’s actually the norm. We love our brothas lol… I can think of more of these female celebrities women who are married to or had children with black men compred to those who are with men outside of their race, but that’s just me. The only ones i can think of who aren’t are Ms Berry of course lol , Heather Headly, Aisha Tyler, and Paula Patton. I’m sure there are more tho. Looking back even Halley Berry was with mostly black men until Gabriel (Eric Bennet ,Wesly Snipes, David Justice , etc). A good number of black famous woman are with black men unlike their famous male counterparts. I was actually SHOCKED that McNabb is marreid to a black woman esp a dark black woman. I think it’s womderful, but i’m shocked b/c it’s such a rare thing.

And furthermore this site is about celebrities and thier beautiful black children of all shades and ethnic backgrounds so, as a light skinned/mixed black woman i’m asking all of you to please give all this insecure nonsense a break. Let’s celebrate all shades of black love and these BEAUTIFUL kids!!!

Donovan has the rare distinction of having not one, not two, but three children who will be the same age during some point in the year every year. I can imagine the fights when it’s time for them to learn how to drive.
