Director Spike Lee and his son Jackson,12, watched the Orlando Magic play the New York Knicks in their NBA basketball game on November 29, 2009. Jackson is definitely a mini-me of his father. Check out their side profiles!

I wonder, does Spike Lee ever participate in any other activities with his son besides being a spectator at basketball games? Does his son want to play any sports or be the next Obama?

It would make pictures of Spike and his family more appealing if he were captured doing something more interesting.

BCK did do one post recently that I can recall where Spike and his family attended the “This Is It” premiere. Still no action involved on his part.

Guess I answered my own question.

I can answer that question. As a fan of Spike’s, he spends a lot of time and take his son many places. He certainly had him there to protest that New York Post article with Al Sharpton. I think he is very proud of his son.

Thank you, Khrish. I’ve loved many of Spikes movies, too.

Khrish, as an after thought, I guess I wanted to say that I know that Spike is a genius film maker, but I’d love to see him tossing a ball to his son or going to one of the kids recitals or something.

He’s usually always caught on camera being a spectator instead of actively participating…just like when he was single.

I know he has been seen involved in his movie productions from acting to directing, and I know he’s at least fifty years old now, but maybe he could even lick an ice cream cone in a picture with his kids instead of just gazing at a game.

            Just saying.

Pisces, every father isn’t the sportsman type. Spike doesn’t play basketball but he is a real supporter. He’s really an artist. I often wonder if he gets his son involved in the arts because I know that he and his siblings always have a camera in their hands and document so many things that will matter years from now as well as support the arts. I do know that he has his son participate with him in protests against discrimination and had him with him during the MJ events and other show openings as well as other events. So while I have seen him many places with his son, it could be that the son also sees sports as a spectator event. My husband was never a sportsman, but he did many other things with my sons. As well as help me introduce them to the arts, which is my passion, and participated in their education, gave them the experience of travel. and allowed them to live in many places around the world to enhance and broaden their lives. My oldest still ended up being a Soccer player during his school days and enjoyed the game and they all are great fans of the arts and education as they pass these things along to my one grandson. At least they enjoy the sports together.

Khrish, that’s true. Some people enjoy being spectators. I wish I could do what Spike and his son do and I know his son must be thrilled that his Dad personally knows many of the players personally.

Also, thank you for sharing some of your life with me. I can tell that you are a cautious person, especially when divulging here at BCK and it makes me value our online communication even more.

I love the arts, too and really enjoy live performances by entertainment artists. I really really love pop culture trivia and gossip like you and I can share our opinions and thoughts on.

Thank you, Khrish for your kindness and sharing of yourself towards me.

I’m glad that (some of ) these tack heads that opine at BCK aren’t interested in what you and I are interested in because it allows us the opportunity to talk and giggle directly with each other.

Hope you’re having a beautiful day!

ain’t it the truth. I’m crunk on this Tiger things now though. No matter how silly he has acted in the past; I don’t want to see him destroyed because some people try to pretend that this is a first for this kind of carrying on. I guess it’s just the maternal part of me that causes these ambivulent feelings.

2Khrish. The feeling is mutual. Tiger is still our baby…I remember him from the Ed Sullivan show when he was just 3 years old putting with his little bitty clubs. He was adorable! We’ve grown up with him too.

I’m still a fan and the man will be always a part of sports and African American as well as American history as a consummate achiever.

        Luv ya Khrish! xoxo

I’ve been over at another site fighting about Tiger. They are talking about castrating him and crazy crap like that. Boy, they may not be getting the hits here, but the newspaper and magazine sites are blowing up.

I meant to say the Mike Douglas Show is the show I remember Tiger being on as a 3 year old. This comment may get posted before the other one I wrote to you.
