I am sorry but it pisses me off to see Jermaine and his brother’s profitting off of Michael’s death. Michael said when he was a live that Jermaine was lazy and lacked drive now he makes money off of Michael’s legacy? Then he has the nerve to tell the judge during his child support hearing that he can’t pay child support and he can’t get a regular job b/c it would hurt his celebrity status. Blech!

i agree wholeheartedly. can’t pay child support but yet he’s jet setting all over the world to a different country every time you see him, seems like. and i refuse to watch that new reality show with him and his brothers that will be on A&E. absolutely ridiculous. i guess us normal ppl can’t fathom how someone could be so cold and greedy. profiting from your brother’s death, for goodness’ sake. smdh.

Hi Kinreth, I’m no expert, but I think he could possibly be in a position now to receive advances from deals he’s been making such as with the network airing the new reality series.
I read where the estate granted Jermaine to enter into business deals related to Michael’s estate.
In my opinion, it maybe better for family members to capitalize on/profit from Michael’s tragic death than strangers.
Jermaine used to irritate me, too, for seeming so opportunistic until Debbie Rowe was granted money from the estate after having been divorced for years from Michael before he passed and, on top of that, he specifically wrote her out of his Will.
Jermaine is not as sleazy as Debbie Rowe. At least to my way of thinking.

Since we don’t know the intimate details in their business transactions, we are speculating on why is so so out front. I just hope them all the best. I’ve noticed that the other children don’t seem to really want to talk or shy away from the media, about things concerning the brother, so maybe he has no other choice. Hopefully the child support thing is some old news that was picked up on and all has changed.

Thank you Pisces. Everybody grieves in there own ways so leave them alone. I think hes a good dad because hes always taking his children places and spending time with them. Everytime i see those children they look nice and well taken care of. Theres lots of deadbeat dads in this world that give the mother of there child $25 a month and dont even take the time out to see there child.

What concerns me is the younger generation of Jackson children who may be reading some of these web blogs.
It probably hurts them to read these unproven allegations about their fathers, uncles, grandparents ect….
We all should just keep our negative speculations to ourselves but most importantly we should keep the entire Jackson family in our prayers.

He married rich. He is not getting money from Michael as far as I know. The reality show is a way to make money for himself but people look down on him for doing that as well. So what would you like him to do? He can’t work because the only thing he knows how to do is entertain and this seems to offend people because they appear to believe he is only doing it to be greedy. He can’t stay home and live off his wife because that’s just wrong. So what are the other options really? It seems to me he made the right decision to go out and work. Plus the reality series was in the works long before Michael’s death so this was NOT a way to benefit from his name.
The thing is people seem to forget that this legacy did not begin with Michael. It all started with the Jackson 5, emphasis on 5. There were five brothers to begin with (later 6) should they give up they’re legacy because their baby brother became more famous then anyone could’ve ever dreamt? I would hope not! They may not have reached the solo height that Michael reached but they are still people and they deserve to be happy doing what they love to do, and that is to entertain. So people need to stop over analyzing their motives and just enjoy the music/show or not. It really is that simple.

Good points, Toya1. And we’ll give credit where it is due, he does have his younger children with him and seems to be spending quality time with them. They always seem to be in new clothes and shoes and he’s giving them experiences of a lifetime through travel.
He looks to be taking good care of them. He’s been around the block now with the parenting thing. His older kids are in their thirties.

I agree with Toya.The Show was started back in January and Michael even knew about it even though he choose not to be on there.You all shame somebody just because they decided to do continue the show.It had nothing to do with Michael and you can’t figure Michael into everything they do.
What are they supposed to do.Sit at home and do nothing because senseless people seem to think everything is about Michael.It’s enough that their keeping his children off the show,can’t say it will stay that way,but atleast its starting that way.
The only profit they’ll be getting from this show will be based on who watches it.The show is about proving the media and some of you supposed fans out there wrong about their family. Plus their doing another album,they have a right.

Some of you are so clueless. What do you mean where is he getting the money to travel? Before you come on spreading hate , educate yourelf. If you have been following the Jackson Family , you will know they are never one place.They are wealthy people. Take a look at the family photos of the family and their kids BEFORE Mike died. They may not have Mikes money but they aint you and me boke. How do ypu think Michael got hmself in Bahrain after the trail. It was because of Jermaine. He is friends with the ROYAL Family there. Jermaine WAS always in India, Europe and the Middle East. I always saw pics of he , Jaafar and Jermajesty at airports in different cointries. and Marlon was/ is trying to get a huge project off the ground in Africa. There are all fan sites dedicated to The JACKSON FAMILY long before Mike died. There were always cameras around, is just that some people just NOW CARE, are now noticing just like they are NOW noticing MJ. The same ones that use to judge him are judging HIS family. Their eyes are all of a sudden open. They all of a sudden cares about MJ and notices the family so they have come to the conclusion they are using MIKe. Should they cease to exist. These people are a showbiz family. They too have been in showbiz for 40 yrs. Not just MIKE. They love Jermaine in England. And his WIFE is also a wealthy woman.
PS. Most of the people who are all of a sudden care about the family exploiting Mike,how many of you cared about MJ when he was alive? Did you even follow him when he was alive or the family?

Camille, I have followed the Jacksons for almost 30 years. I’ve been a fan of Michael since Off the wall (J5 was before my time). It is no secret that Jermaine has lived off his brother. Even Michael himself said on tape that Jermaine was lazy, and did not develop that much as a solo artist because he was too focused on chasing women. He couldn’t even support the women he had children with. So where is he getting his money from?
Back in 2004, Jermaine was once planning to right a tell-all book about Michael. Michael found out and threatened to have him thrown out of Hayvenhurst. Yes, Jermaine was living at his momma’s house. When he left Hazel Gordy, he didn’t have a dime to feed his then mistress Margaret Maldonado. And Alejandra can’t get a dime out of him. She recently sued for child support and complained that Jermaine’s current living conditions (a 1 bedroom apartment in Calabasas) were not suitable for her kids.
All this talk about Jermaine and Michael being close is garbage. They fought all the time and Jermaine didn’t exactly introduce him to good people. Michael was afraid of these people (Tohme Tohme, NOI bodyguards – yes including the on who tried to sell MJ’s face mask).
Jermaine has beautiful children. They deserve better.

I’ve followed the Jackson since their first Televison appearance, even when Motown claimed, as a promo, that Diana Ross discovered them. Michael and Jermaine were always close and MJ was saddened when Jermaine decided to stay behind with Motown. Siblings fuss and fight, that’s a given, but does not mean that they love each other less. We are all subject to the take given us by the media since we are, none of us, associates of the family. But I do wholehearted agree that the JACKSONS, as a family is still well known and written about; their problems as well as their successes which are often times fed to us as the media sees or understands them. We all know that we must digest things from the media with a grain of salt. Again, I feel that Jermaine may be the one out front because he is more willing to face the media and does know more about the affairs of MJ than the others. I have seen him traveling with his new wife well before MJ’s death and he and his wife have, reportedly, set up clinics in Africa. I don’t think that he is hurting for money,or totally dependent on what was left behind by MJ; but that’s only my observation, not a fact. Why he doesn’t take care of his responsibilties as a father, I’m not understanding but I’m sure that he will/has convinced the courts, in some way, for some reason, that he’s not able. At any rate I’m sure I have no right to that information.

First off, bravo to your post. To your comment below and once again I will reference their interview that they just did this week on Larry King Live; Jackie was the hardest to convince to do the show because he is a very private person and they he said Jermaine likes the spotlight and that’s good because someone has to. Of course Jermaine was downplaying it and laughing and eventually said, the light finds me and they all laughed. I think their “new found visibility” is much ado about nothing.

First, they are family. Second, they are raising his children. Besides, I’m sure they receive royalty checks and are famous throughout the world. We are so short-sighted and so ready to criticize. When I really think about it, I don’t care if Jermaine has his distinctive hair or whether he pays alimony or…. Yes, he seems to be a good father. Jermajesty is home schooled. Besides, it is not unsusual for celebrities to travel with their children.
Frankly, I’m tired of the Halle Berry pictures. Why don’t you find a Black actress who had a baby by her Black husband and then show the baby’s pictures over and over. I know she is half White but I find it interesting that when she wanted a child, the baby’s daddy just happeens to be White. I think most of the glowing comments come from people who just see “color” (whiteish). Seldomly do nonbiracial children receive a majority of positive comments..

Nice post. People are going to like and dislike whomever they choose and that’s their right but when I see some of the jumbled reasons why including what they “read” and “heard” and yada yada, it just makes me wonder. I am not overly entrenched in pop culture but I’ve learned to filter information. There is a good line from the movie “A Raisin in the Sun” which says when you measure someone, make sure you measure them right.”

But BCK does show us many pictures of that type. As far as Halle and her selection of mate, that’s just it, her selection. Her mother is White, so why is it a problem that she made a selection from her mother’s heritage? She certainly was married to 2 Black men. I think the baby is very cute and I enjoy the pictures; but I also enjoy the pictures of Leslie’s cute as punch, little girl and the other children that I see. Before you can make the jump, there are pictures of Monica and her boys. Maybe you just come to the site on the wrong days or don’t stop at the postings of the articles on the children that interest you more. BCK has done a fine job is showcasing children of all the celebrities; at least I think they have; albeit I’m still waiting for pics of D.L.Hugley’s children. I’m pretty sure the reality show was in the works before Michael’s death, as it takes about 6 months to put a show (reality TV show at least, ) into production. I feel that Michael’s brothers love him without measure. They come across, media speculations aside, as a very loving, caring family.
The only thing that would change my impression of them would be if they ever feature MJ’s kids in their show…then that would mean that they esteem money over those kids’ protection….until then, I personally can’t judge.

What if the children wanted to be a part of the show. According to reports, they are talented. We couldn’t jump to the conclusion that they were being taken advantage of if they end up or want to participate in the show. Remember, the media tried, at first, to make it appear that the family pushed the mike at the children during the memorial to have the little girl speak about her love for her father. We could all look at the taping and see that was a lie. I couldn’t detect anyone using the child by pushing a mike at her. She appeared to want to speak…..There again, the media can push all things out there to see if the public will bite. I think most of us rejected that one. But if we see the children, and I doubt that we will, I would tend to think that it would be at their (the children) request; not forced for monetary greed.
I’ve become really skeptical of the media’s negative reports about the Jackson family. Especially about the one strange looking guy from one site. He claims to be an authority on the Jacksons but was the one pushing the lie that the whole incident behind MJ’s death was a scam for him to get out of the THIS IS IT concert tours. I was one of the few at the sight telling him that I thought he was a liar because it made no sense. Now he’s on his tangent about Tiger. But that’s just how low many in the media has and is willing to sink for stories about the Jackson family.

I don’t get why people are so anti Jermaine. Sure he comes off as liking the cameras a bit too much, but good for him if he is making money. He did big brother a couple of years ago in the UK, and they like him there. And so what if he makes money from interviews about Michael? Michael is dead, gone, not coming back. Jermaine will only have to answer to God for whatever wrong he is supposedly doing, not michael. Michael did not leave anything in his will for his blood family. When his mom dies, eveything will go back to the kids. The three kids have more than enough to go around. So if Uncle Jermaine wants to fly to Europe to appear on some show and make some money, let him. he still has minor children to support.
