On December 11th, a “Princess Dream” event was held at Glam Bar in downtown Atlanta. The event was in celebration of Disney’s new movie, The Princess and The Frog. Talk show host Tami, a friend of Blackcelebkids.com, had this to say about the princess affair:

“Carol’s Daughter in conjunction with Glam Bar hosted the Pinkalcious affair. They had hair stylists doing cute lil hairdos for the lil’ princesses, nails, face painting, candy stations, a Princess Tiana cake, cupcakes, Carol’s Daughter goody bags and more  for all the lil divas.”

Why do Neffe and co. look so ghetto everywhere they go? They just have a constant ” hood look” to them no matter where they are and what they have on. Ugh!

I still don’t feel good about this movie. Our first black princess and she’s a frog for 95% of the film; instead of magic like every other princess, we get voodoo; her prince just couldn’t be black, instead of so called “mixed”….WTF.

      Yeah – “WTF”…

Your ignorance speaks for itself – you should be ashamed. You really are an angry little troll who lashes out in all of your posts. You really need to have your doctor up your med dosage…

It’s your backward thinking that kept our country from progress.

Lol…um, perhaps next time you can read the instructions enough to not comment under my handle. Thanx!! That’s all the response I have since you never quite commented on what exactly bothered you about my posting; if I’m lying about the facts of the film then let me know.

I wish people would stop equating magic with goodness and voodoo with evil. Both deal with the occult and spirits, and both are pagan i.e. non-Christian. If you’re going to slam this Disney film for its voodoo references, then get ready to blackball all the other Princess works that they’ve made.

I don’t recall any of the witches, wizards and fairies in those other films praying to Jesus as they cast their spells.

I just don’t understand why these reality stars are always in pictures with the real stars. What have they really done to be seen as celebrities. Most of them I don’t even know as I’m not a reality show watcher. But they haven’t had any kind of career. I just don’t think they deserve the ratings of celebrities.

Khrish, we’re >>>><<<< on this. In nowadays, people are getting “famous” for just being seen on TV or whom they hang around. I guess just as long as the whole world sees you regardless of what you do, you are labeled a celebs. I hate reality shows.

Yes, I guess all boundaries have be lowered. Just get on TV and act an arse and you are labeled a celebrity.

Not really krish, it is all about who you know. If you got on tv and as you say acted an ass, they would probably lock you up so do not do that, please take it from me. Remember, it is difficult to get in show business. It seems easy but it is not. OK, gotta go. Word to the wise.
