Looks like the rumors are true! Madonna and her children will be spending Christmas in London. Madonna was photographed today arriving in London with her youngest daughter, Mercy James.
What a fancy hat and scarf! Looks like Mercy is ready for the cold!

And how do you know this with any certainty?? Madonna’s daughter’s bio dad is VERY much involved with his daughter. Maybe David is just honoring that a bit. I am sure he is still involved in the ways that a former step dad would be. PLUS she is a girl…sometimes impressions are not always as they appear…

I meant Guy Ritchie–not David. At any rate, Guy was a good match for Madonna. Their marriage had a good run by hollywood standards. Guy did an unselfish thing and didn’t challenge custody so as not to split up the family.

I think your statement is a bit unfair. Guy Ritchie isn’t Lourdes’s dad; he’s Rocco and David’s father. Lourdes has a father. She doesn’t need Guy Ritchie to pick her up and take her to the park.
I feel so bad for little Mercy though. She doesn’t have a normal dad to turn to when she needs someone to balance out Madonna’s… eccentricities.

I don’t know what’s so eccentric about her off stage and away from the stage persona. She’s kind of strict and traditional in her parenting style. She stays in one place during the time the kids are in school and the kids are involved in typical activities (soccer, ballet, karate, gymnastics, piano).
Is it that she’s dating a younger man? I don’t really care, but at least she’s been in a stable relationship for the past year while Guy has been dating many women during that time, some very young, and drinking every other weekend at his pub, but nobody really cares about that since he’s a man.

I sort of agree with you. He doesn’t have legal say over Lourdes because he is not her biological father (she has Carlos), but I do think he owes treating her like a daughter because she did call him dad for like 10 years (she was barely turning 3 when they met and he has said he felt like a father to her years ago). He has an emotional responsibility to her and I hope he does make an effort to maintain a relationship with her and not just with Rocco and David.

She was in NY while the kids are in school, during their school breaks is when she travels. She went to London because she is legally obligated to take the boys to see their father and since she doesn’t want her kids to be separated, she wanted the girls to be there too.
