I like Jaden and think he is a good actor. This movie trailor look odd seeing that its a African American kid and he isn’t a teen yet like in the original movie. I think more leading roles should be given to African American kids, teens and adults. I love Jaden and Tariji Henson. I’m going to see the movie and support it when it comes out. I think the movie will do well at the Box Office and I would definitely go see the film!

Wow, I know Will and Jada are so proud of their baby. He is a good actor even at his age. I’m sure that he will go on to do much more. Watch out Daddy!

..and I suppose you are one of the nannies with an inside scoop.

I don’t pretend to have any, but I have seen through the media, Will and Jada expose their kids to charities and community activism. They have taken their kids to see our President collect his Nobel Peace prize among other things. To me they appear to be moldling worldly, grounded kids who can think for themselves…but again, I am not an insider.

They are raising great kids. Trey hosted his 16th birthday party and asked that instead of gifts that people make donations to a charity. Will and Jada encourage their children to be independent thinkers and hard workers. They do have some comforts that everyday children may not have because of their family’s financial status. From a materialistic view they have a lot of things. But they are really down-to-earth young people.

we dont know that they’re spoiled for a fact. They are rich for sure, but all I’ve heared from people who’ve actually met these kids are that they are extremely respectful, humble, and giving.

they do give back through charities, as their parents are raising them to remember that there are less fortunate kids and people in this world, and to recognize that they themselves are extraordinarily blessed.

The trailer looks good. A lot of people don’t like the idea of a classic that was so well done being remade. Ralph Macchio’s role was iconic–it made his career. I am on the fence, but we are in the millenium and we got to keep it moving–there’s a time and place for nostalgia, but it is always nice to get a fresh perspective on some things.

I plan to see it because well, I like little Jaden–he is a little star in the making, he definitely appears to have “it” and is very photegenic. I also like Jackie Chan. Hope it does well at the box office.

The Karate Kid without Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita? No thanks. Whatever happened to original movie ideas?

Also why is it called the karate kid if they’re in China? Wouldn’t that be kung fu? Karate is Japanese, right?

Although the island of Okinawa is regarded as the birthplace of karate, it’s origins can be traced back further, to China.
I’m also an original Karate Kid fan but it doesn’t hurt to try something new:) If you hate it you can always go home and pop the old movie into the DVD player lol:) I hope the movie is a success but I also hope that people start to get more original ideas about movies.

This site is a breath of fresh air cuz no one is disrespecting the actors because of race, unlike youtube where alot of comments are like “black this, chinese that”! Thank you BCKers for having standards
