Actress Robin Givens attended the Miami Dolphins game at Landshark Stadium on January 3, 2010 in Miami, Florida with her sons Michael “Buddy” Givens(born 1992), and William “Billy” Jensen,9.
Billy’s father is tennis player Murphy Jensen. Robin adopted her son Buddy in 1993.

Robin looks good here. I like Ms. Givens–loved her, Halle and Eddie in Boomerang–shouts out to the early 90′s–lol. I wish Robin could have made a bigger splash on the big screen earlier in her career.
She is now at the age where hollywood likes to send women into early retirement or grandma roles–even tougher for the sisters I would imagine.

Hey, she was really good in the Tyler Perry’s THE FAMILY THAT PREYS as well. She and Sanaa did excellent jobs in reverse roles as per their role types. I like Robin too. I think she took it the wrong way when she felt people didn’t think that her abuse from Tyson was a bad as with other abused women. I,for one, applauded because Robin will stand up for herself and I see her as a tough little woman who won’t take stuff from noone.
To me that is an asset. Although tough she maybe; I still considered her abuse as serious as the other women. I like this woman. For some reason I always thought she had a boy and a girl.

I saw that movie but forgot Robin’s part. I am glad to see she is still finding work, and always good to see Sanaa and lets not forget my girl Taraji P. Henton being able to find roles and dish them out with aplomb.
Robin is a smart woman, that combined with that unfortunate baba wawa interview way back when she was Mrs. Mike Tyson (they were both young and foolish by Mike Tyson’s own admission) have sealed her fate it seems as being a b__(rhymes with rich)in some people’s psyche. She is aware of this to some degree I believe and that is probably why she felt some did not give the same regard to the abuse she dealt with as they would others.

Yes, she did very good in “A Family That Preys.” Remember her in “Women of Brewster Place.” She was good in that also. Yeah, I feel that her Tyson days really has followed her and stigmatized her to a degree in people’s mind but that was how many years ago. She is an intelligent woman who I believe really grew and came into her own over the years.

You are so right. He is the spitting image and I mean EXACT, of his grandfather when his grandfather was his age. Lisa (bio-mom) really holds that image close to her heart since she just lost her father (buddy’s grandfather) in July 2009. Hey Buddy, we love you!

Yeah, I saw the information go out on NCMEC site, the mom has a site too….Oh man I feel so bad for the mom and buddy, i guess “some” people think that money can even buy kids. This is so tragic…how did they think they were going to get away with that forever? Mom has been searching all over the place for 15 years with very little money and trying to maintain and take care of her other son. Wow 2 brothers that haven’t even seen each other.. I just cried when I read the story. How could you people do this? I’ll be praying from Mom, Buddy and lil’ Christopher!

Whoa..ppl are getting way off topic here. Children are a gift from God and should not be put in the middle of whatevr is going on here. Just think what Buddy and his friends are thinking right now of this whole situation.
Cyberstalking? Isn’t that again the “pot calling the kettle black”..I believe the Mom and her friends commented here way before “granny” and her multiple personalities.
Stop trying to manipulate and intimidate this poor woman and come to grips with your own reality. If the Mom did commit any non-violent crimes 27 years ago, at least she paid her dues. Can you say the same thing for yourself?
Let the mediators and the courts decide this matter because it is clearly evident that the adults in this matter cannot think objectively. In my opinion the young man deserves the right to know his real mother especially when the mother and the son have been kept apart due to someone thinking they were in a position to make that decision for them. Please also consider the child and what he may think when the truth comes out and how hurt he is going to be to find out that he has been lied to this entire time.
This is so so very sad. We all hope and pray that this works out in the best interest of the child in the end and that he is eventually reunited with his mother and younger brother. This is going to be a very long recovery process and I continue to hope and pray that everyone involved will support each other through it without causing further alienation of the child or causing him any undue mental and emotional pain. I think he has unknowingly experienced enough.
