A BCK SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: HELP IS NEEDED NOW!
BCK interrupts your daily dose of celebrity kids’ news to bring you this devastating truth: Haiti is in need of your help now! Thousands are dead and thousands will be pronounced dead in the coming days. Please, let us pull together to help those in Haiti who were hit by a 7.0 earthquake-yes, a 7.0 earthquake.
An estimated 3 million people are in need of your help. Here is how you can help courtesy of USA Today:
There are many ways to lend a hand, but be warned, many aid sites have been overloaded. Be patient!
* Donate to Yele, an organization set up by musician Wyclef Jean – a native Haitian(pictured with his daughter above). The fastest way to donate may be by text. Text Yele to 501 501 to donate $5.
* You can make a donation through the American Red Cross’ International Response Fund. Text “Haiti” to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross relief efforts.
* Mercy Corps has a way for you to donate your money straight to their efforts in Haiti, and Unicef also has a donation site set up.
* The United Nations World Food Program has teams “already on the scene, mobilizing emergency food assistance to families.” To support these efforts, you can make an emergency donation today.
* Operation Blessing International also has disaster relief teams on the way. A donation of $50 or more will bring emergency food, water, medicine and more to the quake victims.
Americans who need information about family members in Haiti have been asked to call (888) 407-4747, a line set up by the State Department.
BCK Says: Lots of beautiful kids like Angelina Jean, Wyclef’s daughter, need your help so please help!

She never implied that brother and sisters were black. My brother and sisters can mean all races. I mean like, really? We all need to come together and help our brother and sisters in Haiti. I’m thinking about trying to go to Haiti to help out.

So am I Pisces. If everyone would give as little as $5 that could amount to a lot. In the words of MJ, we have to “heal the world”.

My pastor said it best, “If you see your brother or sister in need, prayers are fine, but money (i.e. food and clothing) is what they really need”.
There are many who are able to give that won’t and there are many that can’t afford to give that will. Let those who are willing and able give and those who are able, but aren’t willing may your hearts and minds be changed.
I didn’t have much, but donated $5 to Wyclef’s org. in hopes that others like me will do the same and combined our contributions will help chip away at Haiti’s growing needs.
God Bless~

I would give to organizations like the Red Cross OR Catholic Charities (Haiti is 85% catholic and catholic charities had a presence before the quake), but be careful or organizations like Yele Haiti. The Charity is under scrunity b/c money from the past 3 years has gone missing and they can’t account for it. Look it up in a new browsersearc if you don’t believe me. But I would like your money to actually be used for a good cause

Please research these things before posting them. This Wyclef’s foundation and it is legitimate. Please be aware that listeners of Fox News and other rightwingers who are anti this assistance to Haiti are up to their dirty work. Not only is this site for donations legitimate but Wyclef himself has donated 1 million to it. This article was written by some “hater” who’s trying to confuse others. It was one of the headlines on the MSNBC News today. Again, please check out these types of slanderous reports before posting.
