Miss Golden Globes 2010 was none other than Mavis Spencer, the daughter of actress Alfre Woodard. Mavis handed out statues to the night’s winners during the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California January 17, 2010.

Prior to the Golden Globes, Mavis was asked a few questions about her special night. Find out who this 18-year-old was looking forward to meeting at the Golden Globes:

On her custom made Valentino dress: “They made it especially for me, which is very exciting,” said the teen, who had three dresses custom-made by the house before eventually settling on one two weeks ago. “My only requirement was that it didn’t have a train.”

On what she was most nervous about: “I only started appreciating my height [5 feet 11 inches] recently, so spending that much time on my feet is a little nerve-racking,” said Spencer. “[I won’t wear] anything too towering [on my feet] because I definitely don’t need any help in the height department.”

On who she was most excited to meet: “My mom’s an actress so I’m around that crowd a lot, but at the same time, it’s still kind of a big deal whoever you get to meet. I just started watching ‘The Vampire Diaries’ a couple weeks ago so I’d love to meet any of them.”

On her Pre-show Preparation: Spencer got her hair and makeup done at home on the day of the event. “I’ve been riding a lot, which keeps you really fit,” she said. “I go running occasionally. I’m not really a big gym person. I guess I’m just lucky to have a body for this kind of stuff.”

On the advice that she received from her mom: “My mom said that I should just go and have a good time and enjoy myself,” says Spencer. “And since it’s a sit-down dinner thing, someone told me to watch out for wobbly actors.”

Mavis was absolutely beautiful last night and you could see the pride on Mama’s face as the camera caught her as Mavis was introduced. I loved the show last night. The stars were dressed as they used to be at the awards show. Everybody was totally glamours and Monique was stunning in her dress and her moving speech that kept others taking parts of it to express their own appreciation. Mavis is gorgeous. Hope he luck in following in her mom’s footsteps. She has big shoes to fill.

Mavis looks lovely here. Such warm expressive eyes–they are so pretty.

I didn’t get to see her on the Globes last nite, but bet she did a wonderful job.

I did see Monique’s acceptance speech at the start of the show. Classy & heartfelt and then I just tuned out.

She is absolutely gorgeous! I’m glad that she had an opportunity for this… such a special night & honor…and to share it w/ her family! What a treat!

She also seems to have her head on straight which is more imp. than physical beauty. Congrats to Ms. Mavis, Mrs. Woodard & family. :)
