Rapper The Game shared pictures of his younger son King Justice(born April 25th,2007) via twitter and wrote this caption: “With my son in the Disney store. My pops never took me to get no toys! Thank God I’m a better Dad than he ever was.”
The Game’s first son is named Harlem Caron Taylor (born on June 30, 2003).

How cute is his expression. That’s a good thing The Game is trying to be a better dad than his own father. The way he put that comment, makes me think his dad wasn’t really all that great–that’s too bad.

He has a right to discuss his past. After all it does belong to him. It takes more courage for him to admit the hurt of not having his father than it does to hide and not say anything for fear someone will pass judgment when they have no right to do so.
I’m glad he is there doing something different in his son’s life.

I agree with your comment. It hurts no matter how hard a man or woman appears. Every child wants to know where they came from Something about the people who gave them life. And not having a parent around can be hard, yes some move on. but it makes a little difference. I am just glad he is in his sons life.

Exactly. Besides people in glass houses shouldn’t through stones….Buying your kids toys isn’t “being a good father”. Kids need so much more than money and the latest sneakers. They need role models, guidance, discipline……….Last time I checked Game was getting arrested in at funerals, carry pistols…….great example for your son.

Had his father been in his life then perhaps he wouldn’t have all the issues he has now. Sometimes bad behavior is the pain on the inside trying to be out, open and gone. He is there for his son, that matter a lot. Hopefully, he will get his act together. The stuff he has done is wrong. However, walking away from his child would be a lot worse.

I see some people thinking the same thing I am. Maybe his father did not have the money to take him to get toys. Maybe all he could afford to do was provide a roof over his head, clothes on his back & food in his stomach.
If Game was not in the industry & making the money he is making, would he be able to afford to take his children to the toy store?
We all try to give our children more than our parents gave us but I’m sure the parents did the best they could at that time.
On the other hand…I can understand where Game is coming from. My family & I never went on vacation. When I took my son an vacation for the first time, it brought me such joy to see how happy he was. So Game is experiencing an emotion he probably wished he had w/his own dad.

if you are a fan of The Game’s then you would know that his father was heavily involved in the gang and drug life so he had some money and was very abusive towards his mom and allegedly his sisters. I just hope he can move on in a healthy way. Im just glad too that he is doing what his own father should have been an example of

Well, in case u don’t know his history, the Game was placed in foster care due to his parents both having problems. His mother got him back when he was older, and he also reunited with his dad around adulthood. So, I understand him expressing disdain for his past, while relishing in the fact he’s a better father. It’s not even the fact that he’s bragging about “affording” toys, the point he’s stressing is spending time with his child, which wasn’t spent with him as a child. I am by no means a Game fan, and I do believe he has psychiatric problems and plagued with bi-polarism, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is managing to be a good father, when he was given no example of how to be when growing up.

Not to mention his Dad was removed from the house, based on something his sister said. But moving on. I wish nothing but the best. It destroyed his family, they have come around and moved on. But he has the right to express his feelings. GOD BLESS

I bash my Pops, too, for good reason. I appreciate that The Game is trying to DO BETTER and I wish more parents would do the same, especially coming from adversity during childhood (caused by poor parenting and lack of real support).

game u need to talk with your mom about why dad did never buy u any toys. what kind of relationship did they have. that is your mom’s fault she chose that kind of guy to father her child and then not support him. i am sorry to hear u make that statement, but it is good u learned from it and steped above it to be a father and dad to your sons. they need that. thanks game.
