    Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

A beautiful black british model with REAL black children (meaning not apparently mixed) AND with a natural hair. I’m lovin it.

I don’t have a problem with black mixed kids or light skinned black children. Black is black and I love ALL of my people on the chocolate spectrum (from pale to jet black). I’m black and of a peanut buttery color myself, so I’m not favoring dark skin because I’m dark skinned. I’m not considered dark skinned.

But it is true that pretty little mixed kids get a lot of accolades on BCK, and natural hair, when it is out, doesn’t get a lot of kudos – especially if it on the heads of Henry, Johan, and Sahara.

So I really just wanna show some love for all my little beautiful nappy headed family, and not just the pretty little mixed ones with the spiral botticelli curls. So it’s nice to see a darker skinned model with darker skinned black children showcasing their beautiful natural hair.

And she’s British. Foreal I was thinking that just about all British black folks married or had relationships interracially. it seems way more prevalent there than here in the usa. Maybe that isn’t true, but it seems like I see far more British blacks in IR’s than I see them dating any other blacks.

I hope they get a picture of Waris Dirie’s baby soon, I’d love to see what he looks like now.

And I haven’t seem Iman and David Bowie’s little girl in a bit.

I agree with you on the BCK accolades for children with more European features. When “we” do that it hurts, especially after the experiments with Dr. Kenneth Clark during the 1950s and then “A Girl Like Me” by Kiri Davis that was only made a couple of years ago with little black children still favoring white dolls over black dolls. It’s sad.

Then I read negative comments about Zahara Pitt-Jolie, Willow Smith, and Angel Brown and feel even sadder.

      Come people!

Yes, Nappykats, it is lovely to see this and what you’ve noted about Jamelia and her daughters. Your other observations about Britian are spot on to.

SOOOO freaking cute!! I am glad that BCK showcases ALL children of color including those with obvious mixed ancestry. The children didn’t choose their parents and it may be difficult to showcase all dark skinned kids when so many celebrities are in interracial relationships.

Here’s a thought: Why don’t you critical ladies start a site for dark skinned celebrity kids??

I dont think they were trying to be critical, but I understand where you are coming from. But as a darker skinned black person I do feel sad when i dont see as many kids on this site getting praised for being cute! or beautiful! or precious! as those with lighter skin or mixed ancestry. I dont have anything against light skinned people (my grandmother is very light and has told me my whole life that I am nothing but beautiful) but it is nice to see someone who favors you and see them receiving a little praise! ya know?

In response to what Nappykat says, I agree. It is nice to see real black children. Black is beautiful in all shades but for some reason the darker we are the more we get pushed to the back.

Secondly I live in the U.K and British black women are more likely to date or go after black men. Black men on the other hand here in the U.K are more likely to date outside of their race. Not that it’s a problem but it is very rare to see a black woman with a white or other man. Just to clear that up.

    PeAcE to you all

Those girls are gorgeous! Someone made a comment about Kendra Wilkinsons child being cuter than other BCK kids. Well, that fool wanted some attention or is just blind because NOT!!! I’m not into genocide, thank you.
