BEYONCE AND JAY-Z MAKE A GOOD BABYSITTING TEAM
Looks like musicians Beyoncé and Jay-z are getting major parenting practice with their five-year-old nephew Daniel Julez Smith. According to Beyonce’s sister Solange, the couple babysit her son on a regular basis.
“They actually request him more than I’m willing to give him,” Solange reveals to Ok! magazine.
But Solange doesn’t worry about the couple babysitting her tot because Jay-Z is a “very good uncle” and Beyonce is ” very hands-on” when it comes to caring for Julez.
“I’ve had two weekends where I’ve been able to hand him over, and it’s been very nerve-racking for me, but she does a great job. The bedtimes we got to work on,” Solange says of her sister’s parenting skills.
“Sometimes I’ll call expecting him to be asleep, but he’s still up,” she adds.
Recently, the married couple took young Julez to the 52nd Grammy Awards show, where the young boy accompanied his uncle on stage. When he was asked if he wanted to say anything to the audience, Daniel replied, “No, Thank You!”
“I was a proud mom that he used his manners,” his mother Solange admits. “Because anything could have come out of that mouth.”

@ Tiana: Yes, and more people are “not listening”. We are tuning out because the music being offered to them today is garbage. We are dusting off our old LPs, or trying to find the great music of the past on CD, or getting subscriptions to online sites to download the great music of the past. Because more people are tuning out, the recording industry is now experiencing the biggest slump it has ever faced. Within 10 years, there will be no large labels left, and all the boutique labels under them will disappear. Most artists will produce music on their own labels, selling their music online and securing distribution agreements with large retailers (Amazon, Wal-Mart).
And music critics have lost all credibility, labelling trash as art. People are waking up. In the future the only artists who will survive are those produce good music. There was a time when our artists made great music, knew how to speak, how to conduct themselves, didn’t walk around looking like tattoed graffiti walls, and had an act the whole family could enjoy. Now most of our artists do nothing but a poor job of sampling from the old songs (they lack any originality of their own) and throw their sexuality in our faces. Our culture is heavily influenced by entertainment. And over the last 20 years, we have become a crass, crude and vulgar culture because of our entertainment. But change is coming, and soon those on “top” will fall by the wayside…

Just one comment..when will beyonce put on pants? Is it just me or has pants become obsolete to female artists?
Also is it me or does Solange seems to make a comment regarding Beyonce’s parenting style everytime she talks about it? One comment was about Beyonce not knowing how to open a stroller, then it was about her not knowing how to care for him when he was sick & now its about the bedtime. To me its coming across like…”this is the one thing I have over Beyonce”.
I am personally not a Beyonce fan & couldn’t care less what she does, just wish female performers would wear pants. Like A-Keys, she wears pants in her videos & when performing & looks awesome.

I think it’s great how hands on Bey and Jay are with Julez. I’m the same way with my nieces and nephews.
I’m in no rush for Beyonce to have kids. It’ll happen when it happens.
And I’ve seen Beyonce wear pants in concert before. She did in her Vegas concert DVD.

Plaimean , I`m not a hater I`m just telling the truth ! Let`s face it she`s a good looking woman but with no talent at all. When I say with no talent she is coping other great artist. What kind of message this woman is sending to young girls by shaking her nude body on television. What makes what you say the truth? It’s simply your opinion! Can you do what she does? That obviously takes some talent! Anyone who is not a hater would have a hard time watching her perform or listening to her voice – her control and range – and saying she has no talent! Beyonce is a grown woman, knocking at 30, how much of a role model do u expect her to be for little girls? Be your own little girls role model! However, she does set an example for what hard work and dedication can get you. She shows young girls that there is more to life than being some man’s woman or babymama! She’s never been in any scandal, and when you’re grown you have the right to shake your ass! When she was a young girl she was as she should be, not like Miley Cyrus, Brittany Spears, and others! I think she’s an amazing entertainer with great showmanship. I’ve been a fan since she was 16 and I see the work she’s put in and respect her for it! She’s no Aretha, Patti, or Gladys but I don’t think she’s trying to be – she’s Beyonce!
