NIA LONG: MY HEART GOES OUT TO MARIE OSMOND
Actress Nia Long attended the opening night of “Dreamgirls” stage production on March 2, 2010 with her son Massai,9, and a friend of the family.
While at the event, Nia sent her condolences to singer Marie Osmond, whose 18-year-old son committed suicide last week.
Holding her own son close to her, Nia said to ETonline, “My heart goes out to her because I have one child and I know she’s got a clan, but it doesn’t matter if you have one or 14 or five, the loss of a child; I don’t think there’s anything like it. If anything happened to this guy, i don’t know what i would do.”
As a mom, Nia says that she is “more conscious of what you stand for and current affairs. My 9-year-old son comes home and teaches me things about going green, being socially conscious, being kind to people and animals, and the list goes on.(Source)”

It was a sad thing, the son was so young. I love Nia and enjoy all her films. I was surprised to know that S’More is her sister. I would have never associated the two. Anyway her son is precious and they seem to have a great relationship.

my heart goes out to marie osmond also. let us have a moment of silence and respect. such a big family her son was in. i guess one can still be lonesome or lonely even in a crowd or come from a large family. i heard someone say on the radio that he felt he never fit into the family and that he said he did not have any friends. i know u can despise family members as well as any stranger.
