ANOTONIO CROMARTIE ‘CHARGED’ WITH NOT PAYING CHILD SUPPORT
In the past three years, San Diego Chargers Antonio Cromartie has been named in at least five paternity suits. That’s because the 25-year-old has at least seven children with six different women in five states. All of his children are under the age of six.
Later this month, Cromartie will appear in a San Diego Superior Court for a judgment related to a $25,00 past due amount in child support that he owes one of the mothers of his children.
“My client has every hope and expectation that Mr. Cromartie will honor his responsibilities to his children and live up to his court-ordered responsibilities,” said Steven Bishop, an attorney representing one of the mothers. “She keeps receiving promises, but she can’t feed her child with promises.”

What was he thinking? That’s right, he wasn’t. At least the women might have had had a few brain cells working on how to make some bucks, if not how to protect from disease. Unfortunately it may not pan for them with this one –I only feel bad for the kids.

Sad. To think these women are staking innocent lives on the hoped for “golden eggs” and what a wake-up call when the goose ends up laying turds (exuse my language)instead. Not all these pro-ball boys go on to live large or have long careers like Michael Jordan. I don’t know how many stories I’ve read of pro-jocks getting injured or forced into early retirment or filing for bankruptcy. Some without any formal education or business acumen to fall back on.

Wanted to add I blame him the most. The women may not have been aware of how many were in his stable, some probaby didn’t care–probably typical chicken head with mentality “i’m gon’ get mine, whatever”. Really.
But this guy knew his roster or at least I hope, could there be more children of this sperm donor incubating somewhere out here?

This is amazing how a high profile athlete can get away with not paying yet not do any jail time. The avergae “joe” would be locked up. I think he has a sense of ” intitlement ” going on with his ego. His children should come before a pair of $350.00 jeans, $ 250.00 shirt and an attitude of ” I do not give a darn “.

Are you sure it’s just $625. Most states don’t imprison for less than $10,000 in arrears. For $625, he would only be subject to treasury offset–and even then, in some states that limit is $1,500.

He got traded to the Jets because he didn’t play like he cared in the playoffs against said Jets.
It won’t be a new begining because he and Braylon Edwards will probably be discussing how to get out of paying child support.

Believe me, money and fame can make anyone look like a god in the eyes of a groupie/gold digger/baby mama hopeful. Just look at any star you’ve heard with a whole bunch of offspring with various women – 9 times out of 10, you’ve probably looked at them and went “HUH?! How the….WHAT?!”.

Oh lawd! Men need to start thinking and using protection. That don’t make any sense. They want to sleep with so many women but then get mad when it is time to pay child support. He is too young to have that many kids. They have to think ahead that they will not be famous nor making money forever. It is best for them to either just condoms or find that special girl and have kids with her ONLY.
He isn’t the first nor will be the last to do this. They got to start using their heads and making better decisions. Its no way he will be able to take care of all of these kids and still find time to spend with all of these kids if they are in five different states and he travel for half of the year playing football. Condoms please or get married and have kids with her only.

I stand corrected on Nas. I forget he has a older daughter who is about 12 years old. But I stand by the rest of my comments. Nas is not being promiscuous like some of these stars.
And I understand some folks don’t want to use condoms. Going ‘raw’ feels better than using condoms. But if not a baby, then why aren’t you protecting yourself against disease? And goodness forbid, if somebody gave him anything, he’d probably want to slap her around, beat her, or kill her. Too sad.
