Oh, they didn’t have my favourite shot that I saw somewhere else. Nahla had a look of deep concentration as she filled her bucket with sand. “Gotta get that sand!” XD

Halle is just so effortlessly and naturally gorgeous. She has her feeties out, love it. Seems to be real comfortable at this park outing.

I love the one pic where she is bending down towards Nahla. This is the prettiest pic I’ve seen of Nahla.

Won’t be a baby much longer now. She’s really growing up.

Can we please discuss how ungroomed, unkempt, and dry looking the baby’s hair looks? Halle needs to use some mousse or gel to keep those wild strands in check.

Maybe if she shaved off the sides of Nahla’s head…

@Virgie ..Are you serious?? This is a real question from me to you! I see a mom/daughter enjoying a playdate, and all you want to discuss is Nahla’s hair..WOW

Virgie was being facetious, she was tie-ing in a comment made about little Henri’s hair (Seals oldest boy)on a recent post that described his hair that way I believe before his most recent trim. She is sure most will find this little sweetie’s hair fits in with the “good hair” mode and puzzled why little Henri’s mane doesn’t quite make the “grade” with some—pun intended.

Virgie, was I right? Was the mouthpiece on good–lol.

Virgie cut and pasted her comment almost VERBATIM from the one about Heidi’s sons, Johan and Henry. Don’t believe me? Go see for yourselves! LOL

Sounds about right to me except for the part about shaving the sides. That was for Scary Spice’s little one and Willow Smith. Ha ha!

I was wondering if someone would comment on Nahla’s hair seeing as how it is unkept. If this were Angelina and Z there would be 80 comments on this child’s head, but obviously because it’s a different texture ppl have no problem with Nahla’s hair not being combed. I think that either way, ppl should lay off the kids’ hair; i’m just pointing out that ppl are offended by Z’s hair not being kept because of it’s coarse texture and they are ok with Nahla’s hair not being done because of it’s opposite texture!

I, for one, usually don’t comment on Seal’s boys. But I do think that their hair could stand some kind of shape up and trim. It looks like they just wash it and let it go. It always looks unkempt to me. This baby definitely had a pony tail and it has started to wiggle out of the style. That’s a norm for lots of little girls. At least you can see something was done to it earlier. You can say that it has to do with texture, but as soon as it was thick enough to hold a style, Halle started styling it. Can you say the same thing about those boys. Madonna daughter’s hair always look well kept. Maybe like Wanda said, they should ride threw the “hood’ and let them hang their heads out the window and someone will shape it up for them. I would never have let my sons’ hair look like that I don’t care how much money I had. I feel it needs some care other than washing and drip dry. I feel the same way about Will Smith’s son when they let it just go wild. If we had seen stars that are Black come out a while back with the children in these hairdos, we would have talked about them like all get out. But now, because the bi-cultural children of famous stars adapted this hair style, we pretend that it’s all that. But we didn’t think it was so grand when Buckwheat used to wear it on OUR GANG. Good grooming is never out of style to me. Halle’s baby doesn’t have her hair standing up all over her head. But, hey! They’re not my children.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with Henry, Johan, or Jaden’s hair. Jaden’s hair is in a style which does require a lot of management. Johan’s hairstyle is cute. Henry’s hair is a little more kinky, but it still looks as if it’s been picked out. I guess it’s a matter of preference, but some don’t seem to realize that maintenance and style do go into these hairstyles – they aren’t get up and go do’s. You may prefer for boys to be more clean cut, obviously there parents’ do not. To compare any of those boys to Buckwheat is a tad of a stretch in my very humble opinion!

If you look at the old pictures of the OUR GANG that’s exactly how his hair looked, unkempt. But you are right it is a matter of personal decisions. It’s just that it seemed to become popular and acceptable when the whites with bi-cultural or adopted children started doing it. I’d feel the same way if people just decided to let their children run around with their hair stringy and greasy. It would look unkempt. Like the children that were set out on the streets in Italy to beg for money by making you feel sorry for them because their hair was stringy, greasy and sometimes matted. That’s just the way I feel about it. And besides, I don’t see Seal wearing his hair in that style.

I thought Zee’s hair was being kept well. Her hair texture isn’t the coarse, thickly kinky type we readily associate as Afro-textured hair. But you know how some of us are – if a black child’s hair isn’t caulked into place with enough petroleum-based products to fuel a toy plane, and decorated with enough baubles to keep WalMart in business for a week, then it’s not ‘well kept’.

I’m currently transitioning back to natural hair and I’ve been doing my research on how to care for it properly. Most of what we take as Black Hair Care Gospel is dead wrong, and damages more than it helps.

What do you mean dry looking? Nahla’s hair leans more toward the European ancestors. Meaning it doesn’t need loads of gel/mousse in it. Plus its a day at the park…A child’s hair doesn’t need to be all right and held in place with no flaws.

Right! Her hair is fine she doesn’t need 848474848 tight ponytails in her hair. Plus shes a toddler playing in the park, her hair is going to be wild.

Look at how tall Nahla has gotten.

While I love seeing these pics, it unnerves me how they cannot go to the park & have a good day without it being plastered everywhere for everyone to see.

I see pics of celebs more than I see of my own family members who resides in other states.

Halle always keeps (in the pictures I’ve seen) Nahla’s hair loose. And I think I know why… She doesn’t have a full head of hair. Because Nahla has “very short” sides. (My sister has the same issue with her hair) To deal with it my sister keeps her hair short.

With that being said… How cute are they?! Both of them look great.

I agree, you can see that it is combed but where the shorter strands just popped out.

Don’t car much about seeing ultra groomed babies myself–all that fussing gets on the babies nerves, why put them through that on a daily basis. On older kids I can see where one may be a little more meticulous–but even then, not OBSESSIVELY so, but Nahla isn’t barely two.

Also, after a day at the park, I know I looked like a scarecrow by the head–lol, the hay was just goin’ in every which direction.

I THINK THAT VIRGIE IS A VERY SMALL INDIVIDUAL TO TALK ABOUT A CHILD. FIRST OF ALL THEY WERE AT THE PARK, DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG THEY WERE THERE? SHE WAS RUNNING AND PLAYING AS A CHILD SHOULD DO. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MAKING NASTY REMARKS ABOUT ANY CHILD. WERE YOU TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO HAVE A FIGHT WITH? ARE YOU SERIOUS? IF A CHILD IS OUT WITH THERE PARENT ON A DAY OUT IT IS OKAY FOR THE CHILD HAIR TO GET OUT OF SORT. THEY PULL THERE HAIR, THEY DO ALL SORTS OF THING WHEN YOU DRESS THEM, AND WHEN YOU LEAVE THEM FOR A MINUTE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH A CHILD. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THEY WERE HAVING A FUN DAY: AND LOOK FOR THE GOOD, STOP LOOKING FOR THE NEGATIVE. I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU WHAT WILL YOU CHILD LOOK LIKE ON A FUN DAY OUT ? THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT. YOU ARE NOT A NICE PERSON,A CHILD GIVE IT A BREAK..
