Let’s Talk About Pep star Joumana Kidd is pictured with her eight-year-old twin daughters Miah Kidd and Jazelle Kidd at the Princess Tiana’s official induction into the Disney Princess Royal Court On March 14th.

Joumana and NBA star Jason Kidd are no longer married but remain friends.

“He comes over all the time; we laugh and joke about it now and he’s apologized a million times about how it happened,” Joumana said about her divorce in a 2007 interview. “It is unfortunate things didn’t happen in a more gracious manner, but I have no grudges in any way. My goal is for my kids to always focus on the positives in their father.”

“For them to see us getting along, that’s important,” Joumana said. “I’m very forgiving, and we’re both in a good place now. There’s no reason to still be upset(Source).”

The lovely Joumana is 100% Middle Eastern (Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt , three ME countries and Egypt is also included in the Middle East these days and is in the Arab League)

  • beth June 9, 2011 at 10:31 pm

Is Joumana black…what’s her background?? I know Jason is half.

  • Liane June 24, 2010 at 11:20 am

Elizabeth Taylor, okay I see it..she will be a knock out…dark hair and blue eyes. Those babies are no longer babies..wow. They look so sweet.

  • Ronda Lewis April 10, 2010 at 1:29 am

Piscis….. your kinda mean spirited to have anything to say about kids. That’s kind of weird to me?? Hope you get your self esteem up, Im sure your a lovely person :)

    • Pisces April 10, 2010 at 9:31 am

I’m sorry, Ronda. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and calling me on it. I will be more careful not to make observations about kids that could be interpreted as inappropriate or offensive. I will edit myself. I’m only human and make mistakes like everyone on Earth.

Thank you for your compliment, also and the smiley face. Have a great weekend.

  • BrwnSantiLove March 16, 2010 at 10:39 pm

Cute pic of mom and daughters

  • Hmmm March 16, 2010 at 6:16 pm

I thought this was BLACK celebrity kids….??? That is not an African woman… I hope this doesn’t turn into an “anybody who bumped into a Black CELEBRITY & their kids” website.

    • universitychick March 16, 2010 at 6:33 pm

      jason kidd is half black…

    • Victoria March 16, 2010 at 6:40 pm

She doesn’t have to be African in order for her kids to be featured on BCK. Her ex-hubby was the basketball player Jason Kidd, who to my knowledge, is African-American [Biracial]. So, her kids are of African heritage and would definitely be featured here.

  • Erin3007 March 16, 2010 at 2:41 pm

I think Joumanna is half african and half middle eastern

  • inside scoop March 16, 2010 at 1:35 am

Ok, so my kids attend the same school as Miah and Jazelle. I dont know Joumana personally but I see her at school. Believe it or not, she is always in sweats and a pony tail. She wears no make up and always looks so pretty. Maybe when she gets made up she looks more plastic but I swear her nose doesn’t even look weird in person? It does here, I agree. On another note. From what I hear her and Jason don’t get along at all. I think what she’s saying here is what she would like to see happen?? From what I’m hearing, he’s pissed off about her VH1 show and seems to cause her a lot of stress. Anyway, she looks happy here with the girls! Wonder where TJ was?

    • speed December 30, 2012 at 9:13 pm

yeah all of you are just posers wishing to be joumana

  • marva March 16, 2010 at 1:27 am

Im confused of what plastic surgery you all are talking about? Her nose looks a little funny but nothing else looks different????? Maybe shes just a pretty lady????? LOL

  • Pisces March 15, 2010 at 11:56 pm

@PlainMean, BCK deleted the original comment. It’s okay. They look very much foreign.

  • Janessa March 15, 2010 at 9:55 pm

hey I disagree with those people who say these child are black. Their are mix kids just like vanessa williams she is mix even if she is not mix 50/50 but you can tell her parents are mix . Anyways my point is people should not call mix people black it is so weird it is so noticable that their have european background. I have a mix son he looks like his white father but tan skin i would not want him to say he is black but mix because we both made him. Just like i would not want him just to claim his white side but left the black side out. I hope you all know what i mean it is good to be proud of both of your roots even if you do not look black or white or are in between.

    • Lori March 15, 2010 at 11:21 pm

AMEN! Why should a person deny ~any~ part of their heritage just to satisfy someone else’s hangup? Good for you, Janessa and even better for your son! :-)

    • BrwnSantiLove March 16, 2010 at 3:56 am

      Totally agree with you.

    • ReallyDoe March 18, 2010 at 10:16 am

I feel you Janessa, but black = mixed anyway you cut it…also all people’s roots are in Africa anyway, so this “race” thing is just so confusing I’ll say!

    • starr08 March 19, 2010 at 1:15 pm

aaaww Janessa, you are soo righT about thaT! because i hate when a mixed person(eg:BiraciaL) cLaims their Caucasian side and not their African-american side..especially if they Look more BLACK at that! lol.. they shouLdnt have to cLaim ONE side. they need to appreciate what they actuaLLy are because every Race has something special about it. :)

  • BCKay March 15, 2010 at 7:32 pm

It’s good that she focuses on the positives in her children’s father i hope he does the same when it comes to her. I’m glad he has apologized to his wife for whatever reason be good to her and respect that woman. All men should respect the mother of their children regardless of the situation between them.

Lay off the surgery Joumana you are a pretty woman and you don’t need all of that and i hope your children don’t grow up and think they haft to change themselves.

  • Toni March 15, 2010 at 6:58 pm

I haven’t seen the twins since they were babies on that Cribs show. They certainly look like Jason not too much like Joumana. I like how she puts her childrens needs above her own. Does anyone know if Joumana is Muslim or not.

  • universitychick March 15, 2010 at 5:33 pm

    funny

  • Lisette March 15, 2010 at 4:27 pm

she needs to lay off the plastic surgery. I used to think she was pretty. Eek! But the girls are cute.

  • starr08 March 15, 2010 at 3:51 pm

aaww they’re soo pretty and well dressed! they Look fraternal tho. i never knew who Joumana was unTiL i saw “Lets taLk about Pep.” lol.. is she BiraciaL tOo??

    • PlainMean March 15, 2010 at 4:21 pm

I believe she is middle eastern. Her maiden name is Samaha.

      • KHRISH March 15, 2010 at 4:32 pm

        Yeah, she’s Lebonese.

    • starr08 March 15, 2010 at 7:42 pm

oohh cooL! thnx guys. so those chiLdren are all mixed up. =)

  • Shell March 15, 2010 at 3:47 pm

I think it’s a great that they get along, It’s important for the kids. But why did she feel she needed to knife up her face, I will never understand. But it’s her face , Her life. Vivica Fox did the same thing to her face. The girls r to cute. Looking like their Dad

  • ..... March 15, 2010 at 3:36 pm

Does anyone know what ethnicity Joumana is?

    • technically shes got black in her March 16, 2010 at 6:29 am

“Her dad, part Jordanian and part Egyptian. Her mother, part Palestinian and part Lebanese.”

      • mel March 16, 2010 at 8:19 am

All those countries are in Africa.

        • Whatev March 16, 2010 at 7:51 pm

The only country in Africa out of the above is Egypt. The other countries are middle-eastern countries.

          • justanote June 16, 2011 at 7:41 pm

All of the countries mentioned are on the CONTINENT of AFRICA. That’s almost like saying someone born in the southern regions of AMERICA is more or less American. Geography 101.

          • BamBam June 22, 2011 at 3:43 am

Justanote, you need to take Geography 101. Those countries (with exception of Egypt) are located on the continent of Asia. View a map and take a college course on Geography and the history of the Middle East and then you can come here to give an education to others.

  • Siara March 15, 2010 at 1:55 pm

Aww I hadnt seen pics of them since they were little babies!

  • SweetDiva March 15, 2010 at 1:49 pm

Once someone beats me in my own driveway, I’m going to have a hard time being their friend. I’m just sayin’…

    • PlainMean March 15, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Lol OKAY! Makes you wonder huh…

    • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 9:23 am

The Mom looks wild eyed in this picture.

  • djm March 15, 2010 at 1:42 pm

I wonder why she picked the white doll?

    • Sherley March 15, 2010 at 3:26 pm

Now that’s what I want to know.

Why did she have that many nose jobs, was the one she have too black for her?

Why did they chose the white doll, was the black one too balck for her children? If her children chose the doll, did they choose the one the can relate to more?

      As stated…’I'm just sayin”.

  • luvqtpies March 15, 2010 at 1:30 pm

She reminds me so much of Gabby, Eva Longoria’s character on “Desperate Housewives.”

  • TheLoveleyOne March 15, 2010 at 12:28 pm

What a great attitude to have regarding her marriage/divorce with Jason Kidd. I didn’t hear much about them but what I did hear was never good at all. Certainly glad they are friends and amicable atleast for their kids.

She really seems to have horrible taste in men tho; atleast it looks that way on the show (let’s talk about Pep). Actually, the guys that she dated (the pretty, badboy type) didn’t seem like men at all but boys that never matured into real men. It’s sad that there are so many of them out there. Most women steer clear of those but they seemed to be her preference. I found that interesting to say the least. I think it says a lot about how she feels about herself.

  • Team Michael Jackson.... March 15, 2010 at 12:28 pm

The twins are very pretty young ladies :-)
One of them looks like the father Jason.

    • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 9:04 am

@Team Michael Jackson, I think you you think that they are cute because they look like Blanket.

  • Team Michael Jackson.... March 15, 2010 at 12:26 pm

It seems as if almost every child featured here lately on BCK is biracial. All except Michael Jackson’s kids. They are the only children falsely accused of being 100% white! And why is that? Because of ignorance, thats why!
    Just sayin’….again.

    • PlainMean March 15, 2010 at 1:49 pm

Even if they are Michael Jackson’s kids, they’d still be biracial… Just sayin’!

    • Sunshine March 15, 2010 at 2:50 pm

      I’ll have to defend BCK.
Most of the kids recently shown on BCK are not biracial and if they are so what. BCK also shows pics of Mike’s kids. I see pics of Mike’s kids on other sites more often but even those sites debate the kids paternity. We all believe what we believe.

      • Virgie March 15, 2010 at 10:37 pm

Nah, man. I’m not buying it! (c) Miss Melodie

No one is saying bi-racial children shouldn’t be featured on this site or anywhere else but I can give you a list of A-list black celebs who have black children who aren’t featured ANYwhere.

    • Victoria March 15, 2010 at 4:53 pm

That’s probably because many Black celebs are interracially married. I’ve noticed myself that there’s a LOT of mixing in Hollywood, show biz, and sports. It’s just the modern world, you know. :-) Besides, why shouldn’t Black people of all colors be featured on this site? I’m pale, but I know I’m Black. These kids are probably being taught the same thing.

  • FashionedByGod34 March 15, 2010 at 12:17 pm

Good for them. Cute girls. They look a lot like Jason and their brother. I saw the son on television recently and he has gotten so big.

  • FashionedByGod34 March 15, 2010 at 12:14 pm

Good for them. Cute girls. They look just like Jason.

  • Rachel March 15, 2010 at 12:13 pm

I’m happy they are putting the kids first that’s just the way it should be.

  • K March 15, 2010 at 11:59 am

I will never understand why already attractive people have to ruin themselves with plastic surgery!!!! Joumana’s nose is all pinched to hell like it’s being held with a clothes pin!! Why?

    • tanisha March 15, 2010 at 3:03 pm

i thought the samething!! she was so pretty! she looks a little weird.

    • Shell March 15, 2010 at 3:49 pm

      K me too.

  • PlainMean March 15, 2010 at 11:12 am

Wow, I remember when she had them and can’t believe it was 8 years ago! I thought they were like, 4! One looks exactly like TJ, and I don’t know who the other looks like…. Maybe Joumana before all of her plastic surgery! I’m not mad!

    • MrsUmar March 15, 2010 at 5:22 pm

I was thinking the exact same thing.

    • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 9:21 am

PlainMean, it’s Blanket Jackson that he..I mean she, looks like.

  • seankordw March 15, 2010 at 11:10 am

Cute girls! Jazelle (the one in the grey skirt I think) has eyes just like Jason.

  • GTSA March 15, 2010 at 10:58 am

These girls are cute. The one with the blue eyes reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor actress (black version –lol). Striking coloring hair/eyes.

The mom looks like she had a lot of work on her nose. Too much.

  • kia March 15, 2010 at 10:46 am

Wow they are so tall for their age just like their dad. They are pretty girls I am glad their divorce isn’t bitter anymore.

  • Teri March 15, 2010 at 10:40 am

That’s good they have remained friends through their tumultuous relationship, especially for the sake of the children.

  • Pisces March 15, 2010 at 10:22 pm

Sorry in advance if it sounds harsh.

  • Teri March 15, 2010 at 10:29 pm

Bwahahahaha! Pisces you had me laughing again. You so kray-Z.

  • Virgie March 15, 2010 at 10:41 pm

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as well as the be hatin’. Hahaha ha! ;-)

  • PlainMean March 15, 2010 at 11:05 pm

Wow, lol, we think alike. I woulda said that, but figured it wouldn’t get posted. Lol. Here comes the attacks.

  • Pisces March 15, 2010 at 11:48 pm

Yep, we do think alike. I didn’t think it would be posted, either. I tried to be as gentle as possible. I don’t know if it’s because of them being part Lebanese, but they have an abundance of hair. Sometimes little girls are a little “hairy” for whatever reason…biology, genetics..I don’t know.

But these two already both have little hairy shadows over their upper lips and super thick eyebrows. I just think they may have a little bit extra testosterone or chromosomes. It’s been scientifically proven that this happens.

I’m not putting them down at all. Just my opinion and observation.

  • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 1:07 am

The twin with the brown eyes looks like Blanket Jackson, at least to me. I swear, she could be HIS twin!

  • Pisces March 15, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Hi Teri! I’m so glad I tickle you. I love what you write, too.

  • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 1:02 am

    Yes, Teri…I am! Cuz it’s fun! :)

  • Pisces March 15, 2010 at 11:53 pm

Virgie…I never mean to upset your sensibilities. Sorry if I did in this case. BCK erased the comment, anyway.

  • Virgie March 16, 2010 at 12:44 am

I was being facetious. I like keeping you on your toes! ;-)

  • Teri March 16, 2010 at 12:56 am

Hi Pisces! Yes, girl, you do tickle me. Thank you, Pisces b/c I love what you write too :-)

  • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 1:16 am

Well, I’m gonna call it a wrap tonight, ladies. But before I go cab you answer me as to why whoever bought those puffy black coats for them thought they were so cute? Not so much.

  • Ms'girl March 16, 2010 at 7:06 am

also some meds do that too.

  • NDS34 May 19, 2010 at 5:55 pm

Thank u for finally pointing that out. I feel its a very sad thing when people describe ethnically mixed kids as “CUTE,” simply because they are “MIXED!” All mixes are not created equal….and sorry folks, but there is NOTHING cute about any of her kids…not their features, pallid complexions, hairyness, etc…Now that is a FACTUAL observation anyone should be able to see.

But in response to race…people always try to make any type of racial myriad synonymous with what is considered attractive. U have just as many beautiful black Celebrity Kids as u do Racially “Varied” with Black….Celebrity Kids….but alas, as conveyed by a prior poster…u rarely see them here. Is that to say, none of those offspring are cute or attractive?

this is not meant to be mean…but her children (particularly while babies) had very large heads…at first, I thought they’d suffered some type of congenital birth defect, or were acondroplasts (sp?)…you know, the dwarves with abnormally enlarged frontal and parietal bones. But then, they kinda grew out of it.
When will the world evolve beyond the poisoned thinking that anything… “Light-Bright-and Damned Near White”, with just a “Splash” of Color /Melanin/Ethnicity…as long as it doesn’t look too ethnic…” Is the only beauty to be acknowledged?????
    Sad people….very sad!

  • Kay September 17, 2010 at 2:57 pm

Thank you for this post, very honest & true. It is sad that in this day and age that black american’s on a whole mainly value anything that doesn’t look black. The number one black actress to black american’s is Halle Berry, who has very little black blood (her father is biracial & mother white). That is the image of beauty to black american’s. Yes she’s attractive but I have yet to see black american’s in this country place a black woman with less mixture blood on top. Also, there is nothing black about Jason Kidd children. when I first saw the picture black didn’t even pop up in my mind about her & the kids. Please spare with the post were all mixed due to slavery. I don’t see any of these White/Asian/Latino owned celebrity sites posting pictures of biracial kids with one black parent.

  • Pisces March 16, 2010 at 9:00 am

@Ms’girl, Haha, I love you, too! xoxo. You’re good!
