JADEN SMITH WINS AN AWARD FOR THE KARATE KID
Jaden Smith,11, has been named ShoWest’s Breakthrough Male Star Of The Year for his role in The Karate Kid.
“Jaden Smith is an exceptional young actor who has delivered a true breakout performance with his portrayal of Dre Parker in The Karate Kid,” says Robert Sunshine, managing director of ShoWest.
Jaden,11, is pictured at 'The Karate Kid' photo call at the ShoWest Convention on March 17, 2010 Las Vegas, Nevada.
The remake of the Karate Kid was co-produced by Jaden’s parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. The film stars veteran Jackie Chan, Taraji Henson, to name a few.

When is this movie coming out? I think I will take my niece to see it. I love Taraji and I’m curious to see how Jaden does. Plus it looks like it will be a nice, kid-friendly movie for the kiddies.
This was his acceptance speech for the award. “My dad prepared a speech for me with a bunch of funny stuff in it,” Jaden said to the audience . “But I’m 11 and I’m nervous, so thank you!” Thought it was cute.

uh oh someone had a growth spurt, little boys are soo amazing too watch. one day they are little with little voices and in like the next day they are 5 inches taller, with a deep voice and a dirt like mustache….sooo sad to watch though they’re not ur babies anymore..
