Thats almost a third of the average weekly Americans paycheck…
I have no problem with children flossing. I just wish sometimes they knew truly the value of a dollar.
I am so OVER these Simmons kids, I mean really, I dont see Bill Gates kids stuntin and they can shut the world down if they wanted too.
Can I please see a popular Black family, promote something besides entertainment….jeez. It’s like Run farms them out or something. Next Russy will have his version of DJ equipment.

Honestly I think black boys ‘care’ about shoes more than any other race. So I don’t think you really can compare Bill Gates’ kids to The Simmons. And Diggy is a trendsetter so he is bound to buy more expensive things. I know average people that spend more than that on shoes.

I was thinking the same thing. I know alot of boys that buy Jordans shoes that are like 130.00…and when the Space Jam Jordans came out average people were spending like 300.00 on them. So to me that’s not alot for shoes.

People will spend what they want for shoes. But the majority of kids get the money from their PARENTS to buy the shoes.
How many times do you think he will wear them, before he moves onto something else?
I think people need to teach financial responsibility to their kids so they know the value of money, and not depend on credit cards (high interest rates) per se.

I agree with everyone here. I have a part time job at a shoe store and boys and men go crazy over shoes. They actually camp out to get the “exclusive” jordans and nikes. Its sad that they can camp out for shoes but they wont camp out for an education for a good book or for somethings that really matters.

I’m sure they have expensive things but we won’t see Bill Gates kids stuntin. People from that class teach their children about money and how to make it grow so if anything the Bill and Melinda Gates kids will own the company of the shoe that Diggy is wearing and he like most of us will be buying those shoes while they get rich. Black people get rich but they spend their money on a lot of material things and often times those things don’t enable them to increase their wealth and they can become broke.
As far as a popular Black family promoting something besides entertainment, that may be difficult because the entertainment industry has created more successful and rich black people more than any other industry in this country. Black Americans that are not a part of the entertainment industry won’t put themselves out there to be promoted even if they had a chance.

My brother spend that kind of money on shoes every week. But, he is driving a old raggy car, that is worth the amount of the shoes. He is alos a drug dealer. I ask him often is a 100 to 200 dollar pair of shoes worth your life. Because that is what you are doing giving your life away to prison. If he does not stop his lifestyle. These celebrity promote and the drug dealers promote and then the poor and mid class family struggle to afford these high priced shoes to keep their kids from selling drugs or stealing. I refuse to spend this kind of money on my kids $100.00 is my limit and when they are old enough to get a job, I will go half. Which means $50.00. lol I personally feel that is way to much money for a 14 year old kid to grow out of. That would be the total of his birthday party minus gifts. lol

Actually, Diggy is working on a clothing and shoe line for teenagers, he just released a mixtape (yes the talent genes have trickled down to the youger Simmons), and he has his own blog. And he’s doing this all while being home schooled, which take a lot of effort from the student moreso than the tutor. So he’s not just putting his feet up and eating bonbons.

I think his whole outfit including the shoes is very cute. It’s nice to see a young man in sumthin other than baggy saggies,a sports jersey and Ones(Air Force). I try to get my teenager to switch his style up but he’s still stuck in that baggy saggies and Ones era.

I agree to some extent—I have a daughter which is 15yrs old and she wants UGGS, Juicy and everything else she see’s; however, she wouldn’t have gotten those if her grades werent RIGHT and if she didn;t do her chores around the house and help out with her brothers…I don;t have a problem getting my kids what they want but only if they’re doing well in school, keeping rooms cleaned ect…then they can get what they want.
I spend 150 and then some on shoes purses ect. and if my kids deserve to get what they then I will get it….not saying I have lots of $$$ or anything but I like very nice things and I make sure kids have nice things as well…
