She may now be the proud mother of a healthy baby boy born on April 6th 2010, but before giving birth to Julian, actress Paula Patton gave birth to two very revealing  Ebony magazine covers.

Not one. But two May Ebony covers provide just the right mix to fully capture rising star Paula Patton celebrating motherhood in a very sexy way. In an exclusive photo shoot, the 34-year-old starlet personifies this month’s theme of Power of Possibility. What represents possibility more than motherhood? As she prepared for the birth of her son, Julian and the release of her new romantic comedy, Just Wright, Patton is living in the moment after she reached a career high in her role in the Oscar-winning film Precious. “I’m so thankful about the things that are happening in my career. Being pregnant has been a real lesson in taking every day as it comes. I don’t know what’s coming next,” she said. Her husband, Robin Thicke, also chimes in on how the pregnancy changed him and how fatherhood will affect his music(Ebony Magazine).

Both covers are beautiful, though I prefer the one where she is covered up more. Her belly button looks a little odd in the tummy shot.

They need to go back and re-photoshop the picture. That is not a normal navel. But Paula looks beautiful as she always does.

That’s exactly the way my navel looked and I had no Stretch marks either. It looks normal to me. I have just never found all these nude pregnant stomachs and the tight fitting maternity clothes that attractive. Just my little tic.

I had 6 pregnacies and 3 live births. The minute I knew that I was pregnant I started with a rub that my Grandma made for me. Never had strech marks nor after childbirth weight. My Grand always banded me right after child birth and so the weight never came. I guess that was the reason. Now that I am older and have gained weight, I have strech marks from the weight. I feel so cheated.

I certainly don’t feel that it has to do with “shame”. I just personally don’t like it. What would one have to be ashamed about? I’m also not one of those who find pregnancy beautiful. The birth of a child is wonderful, if I didn’t have to get big when all the best fashions are out there. Just me. Doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. Guess that’s why the maternity clothes that stess the pregant stomach doesn’t appeal to me.

I don’t require a response for my opinion. Form-fitting outfits and bare pregnant bellies are a beautiful thing to see. I don’t need an explanation of anyone else’s opinion.

I agree with you, Khrish. The maternity clothes out today look tacky to me. They aren’t flattering at all.

We love Paula so much because she doesn’t know how beautiful she is. She doesnt seem conceited or vain. I like that pureness. Also, if you guys google Dorothy Dandridge, there is a picture with Dorothy, she has on a gold dress, Paula’s twin.
