MASHONDA SUES OVER UNPAID SUPPORT
According to singer Mashonda, her ex-husband Swizz Beatz is delinquent in alimony and child support payments. As told by the New York Post:
“In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Mashonda Dean says the man who officially became her ex-husband two weeks ago already owes her $334,000 in missed payments.
“I so much wanted both of us to get on with our lives and maintain our respect for one another, but he now shows that his priorities and sense of responsibility are screwed up,” R&B singer Dean said.
Dean’s lawyer, Bernard Clair, called the nonpayment “particularly troubling” because of reports that Beatz bought a seven-carat engagement ring for Keys earlier this year and that they’re moving into a $14.5 million duplex penthouse on Crosby Street.
Beatz told The Post his ex’s allegations that he owes $325,000 in equitable distribution and $9,000 in alimony and child support are “inaccurate” and “overblown,” and said that he’s gone “above and beyond” to provide for her and their son, Kasseem Jr., [3].” Read More

Her lawyer should have left the comment & cost of the engagement ring or penthouse out of it. That pulls Mashonda in & makes her look even more bitter over the relationship he has with Keys. I’m willing to bet he’s doing his part but that statement makes it seem like…OH, you bought her an expensive ring & your moving in! Ok, time for me to head back to court & make your life miserable!

I think you have a point. The only difference is that Alicia has her own money. Mashonda was never as big as Alicia. Alicia might have the heartache but unlike Kelis and Mashonda she won’t need her ex-husbands money.

I guess this is the thing to do now…when your man takes up with another woman you start puttin him on blast about his responsibilities or lack thereof. This is such a tacky move. THANK YOU!!!!!! you dont hear a peep out of here but only this one. lets go one to read that he gave her 700k which was not court ordered and he had to sign papers saying he was going against his lawyers wishes. this is a shame and a disgrace. ok he left you. it happens and its sad but to continually make yourself look like a fool? and furthermore, if they were seperated when he hooked up with alicia, HOW IS THAT CHEATING??? example, my parents were seperated when i was born. my mom started dating someone else and so did my father. they both knew tha marriage was over so would they be considered cheaters? the only problem here is that swiss in his heart knew his marriage was over and mashonda was still holding on. which is why she is bitter. its almost like she cant accept the reality of defeat. she is making herself look like a fool and damaging her poor child in the process. no bitter woman ever thinks about the child only themselves.

Unless a judge signs off on a divorce, your parents were still married. It doesn’t matter that they no longer loved each other. ‘Separated’ does not equal ‘end of marriage’ as there is still a legal spouse in the picture.

Mashonda needs to let go and move on and if need be, see a therapist to help her get over this. Swizz and Alicia are moving on with their lives and not letting her prevent them from doing them. She needs to do the same because she’s only causing herself more pain and anguish.
If she was wronged as she says she was, trust and believe what goes around comes around. Don’t let them steal your joy.

Karma Alicia Keys has her own mone and can support a child if she has one all by herself. As for them moving into a home together yes he ma contribute but Alicia is paid and does NOT need swiss to move into any penthouse. I feel sorry for anyone who has to go through divorce with children. We tend to focus on who was wrong and who is going to pay instead of how to shield the children from the hurt and pain of daddy not seeing daddy as much as he did before. It takes time to adjust to a changed world. I know you want to live the same life but begging for money is not the answer. If he pays what he owes fine and if he doesn’t deal with it quietly and motherly like.

I am in agreement…for the most part at least. Alicia is wrong and it’s disturbing to me when people are not willing to see and acknowledge the truth about a celebrity due to their popularity. You can never get so big to where right becomes wrong. It’s wrong to be involved with a married man no matter what condition the marriage is in. I don’t hope Alicia suffers, but I do hope she recognizes, acknowledges and takes responsibility for her actions and is open before her fanbase (accountability).

I know it’s hard moving on especially from 10 yrs but she has to find a way 2. I know it’s even harder when there’s kids involved. But let’s go back in time. People forgot how Mashonda and Swizz hooked up. Swizz left his girl for Mashonda and I bet Mashonda won’t ever mention that! Swizz has cheated on her numerous times and she has said nothing but now that it’s a megastar, she has soooo much to say! U can’t preach about GOD and then turn around and bash this man to the end! Sherley its been 3 years, Mashonda need to stop it ,because she is lying her [butt] off, Dude pays her mortage, all the bills,car notes , child support and she was getting Alimony before the divorce was final. Alicia Keys has a lot of dough (money). Maybe Mashonda will get child support on time now.
Bobby Brown and Kevin Federline come to mind along with this guy. All with famous rich wives and men with children that have to be taken care of from previous relationships.

BCK says right here that Mashonda sued Swizz for unpaid child support. He may have a lot of money, but he doesn’t want to pay Mashonda. It’s okay…Alicia has his back, I’m sure. Unless a pre-nup is in place.
