HALLE AND GABRIEL COME TO AN AGREEMENT FOR NAHLA’S SAKE
Sources are claiming that model Gabriel Aubry has been having difficulty seeing his two-year-old daughter by actress Halle Berry.
“It’s been pretty difficult for Gabriel to see Nahla the last few weeks,” a source close to the situation reveals to RadarOnline.com. “He’s really getting sick of it and it’s getting to the point where he is seriously considering his options regarding pursuing permanent custody. He refuses to give up rights to his daughter, he loves her more than anything and is determined to be a regular, full time fixture in her life.”
According to reports, actress Halle Berry is scheduled to film in South Africa during the months of July, August and September and Gabriel is not too happy about the situation.
“The latest issue is that Halle is due to move to South Africa during July, August and September to work on a movie and she wants to take Nahla with her full time. That would mean Gabriel not seeing his daughter for three whole months and there’s no way he’s going to allow that,” the source tells Radar.
“Gabriel requested that he be allowed to keep Nahla with him in Los Angeles but Halle wouldn’t let that happen, so the two reached a total stalemate and it started getting nasty, with both of them looking into entering a legal battle,” the source adds.
But the duo have reached an agreement.
“In the end they reached an agreement. Basically Halle is going to pay Gabriel to be a kind of full time nanny and to come to South Africa for the three months she’s there, and to be Nahla’s full-time caregiver.”

ok taking the child on a set for 3 months when you work 12 hour days is unfair to the father and child. halle has issues. if she just wanted a sperm donor then she shoudl have went to the clinic. she has stated over and over how her father left and now here is a man that is demanding an active role in his childs life at all times and she is fighting it? all these failed relationships and the common denomenator is halle.

i think she got what she wanted out of him – her daughter! she obviously did not need him for anything else but i hope she will not be crazy and try and cut him out of THEIR daughter’s life. I knew their relationship was botched from the get-go! I particularly figured this much when I saw Halle on the Oprah show talking about how she first saw him on an ad on a bus and said “hmm” and then he just happened to be her model for a photoshoot and I thought “how convenient”.
This was right after she broke up with Eli and the rumors were that she wanted to have his child but he didn’t to have hers at the moment and all I could think about when she was on Oprah, talkin bout how she will never get married again but she’s ready for children, was how she is only with model guy b/c his looks would make for a perfect dna combo with hers and much she is gonna mess up her child with her reckless dating habits.
I knew she wanted Gabriel for his sperm but what I didn’t know was that he “fell” for her and actually wanted a child as well. It breaks my heart to hear about men who want a serious role in their child’s life but aren’t given the chance because of scorned women with a damaged outlook on male/female relations.

Her father was teaching Nahla to become fluent in French, and Halle could have felt a little threatened by that. If Halle is not willing to learn the language, that can alienate her and her daughter. Halle seems to be the controlling type.

I agree that being in SA for 3 months and denying the father reasonable visitation is ridiculous. Halle knows it is cheaper to pay Gabriel to be on set then to fight her behavior in court. Courts frown on Moms who deny visitation to benefit their needs and not the needs of the child and father.
I do often wonder why Halle has had so many failed relationships, especially this last one in which she now has a child who has a father that very much wants to be in his daughters life. The child isn’t even preschool age and the relationship is over. Maybe really all she wanted was a “sperm donor”? Who knows. I know I like Halle very much as a actress and I hope she gets her personal life in order so that her daughter is raised healthy and happy and won’t be another biracial child with mental health issues due to their upbringing!

Aside from that, I understand where they’re both coming from. Neither of them wants to go three months without seeing their daughter. I don’t see how Halle wanting to take her daughter to South Africa with her is her trying to deny him visitation rights. Why wouldn’t she want her daughter with her just as he wants his daughter with him? If he doesn’t want to go three months without seeing his daughter why should she be expected to do so? I don’t get why they couldn’t just split the summer? Isn’t that what many children who have parents who are no longer together do? Part of the summer with one parent and part of the summer with the other. They’re wealthy people and can easily afford the flight to and from South Africa.

I have to agree with you PlainMean. This story is from RadarOnline and MOST of their stories are straight LIES! I can’t believe people believe everything that they read especially from a gossip website!
On another note Nahla’s not going to forget her father or French in 2-3 months. West Indians send their kids to the islands for the summer all the time and the kids don’t come back saying “Who are you?”. No one knows what’s going on Halle’s house.

not sure how much of this story is suspect, but yeah i could see him having difficulty seeing his child. which is such a shame, because he seems like a great father. i know Halle has her hangups (with men in particular), but she should never take it out on her child. i think she has to think about that now more than ever, cuz it’s not just about her anymore. she can’t just pick up and leave when things don’t work out like she’s been able to do in the past. this child will forever tie her to Gabriel whether she likes it or not.
it would be unreasonable for Halle not to travel for that extended period with her daughter, but it would also be unreasonable for her to think her father doesn’t need to see her in that amount of time. when i read the story i automatically thought him going to South Africa would be the best solution. but to pay him to nanny his own child? that’s a bit odd. but hey, whatever works for them. as long as he sees the child, that’s what really matters.

I’m sure he’s being paid because his “modeling” career has a “short term” life span. It’s hard to leave your job for three months. In order to uproot to South Africa, he would need a job during that period. That would be why Halle is adding a career incentive.

My opinion: it seems like Halle & Gabriel love their child very much & they both want to have an active role in their child’s life. So they do what they are supposed to do as ADULTS; they came to an agreement that benefits all three of them. If it were me, I would be ok with Gabriel living in the same home as we do until I’m done shooting my movie. If I were the parent not shooting the movie, I woul de ok with leaving with that person as well. Reason being: it benefits my child & that’s the most important thing in the world.

I think that Halle should give him what he wants and that is to be a permanent fixture in his daughters life…there’s so many fathers who want nothing to do with their children. Gabriel clearly loves his daughter very much and she adores him. I hope for their sake that they are able to work this out. That is completely inane. Imagine when Nahla grows up and reads her daddy asked to be paid to take care of her.
I have no issue with him coming to take care of her, but I take serious issue with him being paid a salary to do so.
Gabe made a big stink about him being able to pull his own weight in the relationship so why can’t he afford to take 3 months out of his “busy” career for his child?
He doesn’t have a consistent job, so there are plenty of times when he’s not working for 3 months at a clip.
Seems like Gabe is doing a money grab and using Nahla to get it. If he were to file and gain sole custody, imagine how much Halle would have to pay him monthly in child support? It’s extortion. Take the risk of paying him $20,000 a month for the next 16 years or hit him off with some change for these 3 months.

People want to create some drama to sell magazines and ad space on the internet. Some folks don’t understand or even admit to the mistreatment, humilitation, jealousy, emotional abuse and animosity Halle received and dealt with (publicly) from her ex -husbands. WHY IS A WOMAN EXPECTED TO KEEP (stay with) A MAN THAT IS NOT WORTH KEEPING ? WE DON’T EXPECT A MAN TO KEEP (stay with) AN ABUSIVE, JEALOUS OR CHEATING WOMAN DO WE ? I understand the sexism from men but another women hating on woman who has been mistreated by a man. MEN have emotional problems too folks and this is the reason some abuse women and children. Very successful or high-profile woman with higher much incomes than their mate NEED A PARTNER WHO IS very secure IN HIS own abilities. I am a fan of Halle but if the story is true Halle is wrong for that. A lot of fathers regardless of race don’t play an active enough role in their kids lives (leaving most of the work up to mom), so if you have one that is willing, able and trying you don’t take their child away for months without some type of agreeable visitation set up, especially when you know months in advance that you will be out of the country for an extended period of time.
I always said Halle just wanted a sperm donor out of Gabriel
