Jada must have on some *really* high heals becuase she is not that tall.

  • interesting June 17, 2010 at 8:07 am

I love Willows hair like this.

This premiere was heavily styled. Will looks like an everybody’s dad, almost like a Bill Cosby. Did they leave in some of his grey? Jada looks like an edgy but still feminine June Cleaver complete with the black corset, almost Barbie like. Willow looks like an everyday little sister with an edgy hair still. While Jaden, with the sun glasses and red jacket vest reminiscent of Michael Jackson is clearly the star on the stage. I think they (stylist) toned Willow down so she would not compete with Jaden, which makes sense since he is the star of the movie. I would bet that you would never see Will dressed like that for a premiere of a movie that he stars in. Also notice how both Will and Willow have just a touch of red on.

people need to not to try and paraphrase if they cannot do it correctly because then you screw up the whole context.

Anyway, they look great and the movie was excellent, Jaden did very well.

I hate Willow’s hair. She needs to get her braids back. ASAP!!!!!

  • Sherley June 16, 2010 at 6:33 pm

I called it. I said they were going to remake Karate Kid 1 & 2.

There was a Karate Kid part 3,or was it 4, either way, it was a girl who starred in it. I’m betting Willow will be the star of that one.

As long as Will & Jada produce a movie, their children will star in it. Guaranteed

    • EVELINA RAE June 17, 2010 at 7:26 am

Sherley, i remember on another page when i said i wonder if Jaden will do all 3 parts and you said a girl did one (4th possibly) i’ve only seen the 3 parts and they all starred Ralph Macchio. If a girl did the 4th it will probably end up being Willow’s movie. They’re keeping it in the family.

    • EVELINA RAE June 17, 2010 at 7:31 am

I just googled it lol It was created in 1994 with the same Mr. Miyagi. It was called “The Next Karate Kid” and it starred Hilary Swank as Julie Pierce…interesting i had no idea :)

      • Sherley June 17, 2010 at 5:01 pm

Yes, that’s the name of the young lady who starred in it. I could not remember her name to save my life, but I do remember the movie, especially this one scene where she was going to get hit by a car & she leapt in the air & came down on it instead. Ok that’s basically all I remember about the movie, but I knew there was one who starred a female.

Jaden did Awesome…keep doin ya thing J Smith stay focused!!!!

  • Kiki June 16, 2010 at 3:52 pm

I am glad Willow is still natural!! I guess in the previous photos, she was pressed.

  • Sabrina June 16, 2010 at 1:37 pm

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t really agree with what the Smith’s are doing with their kids.

Sure they are talented, but aren’t they a little young for all this stardom. Jaden is like 10/11 years old but instead of being at school or soaking up the summer sun, he’s around the world promoting his movie and attending grown up interviews with David Letterman etc…. Don’t get me wrong, it may be what he wants to do, but I am not sure in the long-run if it will be an advantage of him.Obviously, he has had a very different background to other child stars like Macaulay Culkin, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears and has good parents to help him along the way, but personally I wouldn’t want my young son, to be surrounded by adults and constantly learning lines at such a young age. If he was 16 /15 I would be alright with that, but I just think he’s too young for that, which is why many say he comes across as arrogant and snotty, maybe being around older people and having such a sheltered life.

I read that Willow may be recording a solo album as well, despite many saying that she really isn’t a good young singer, so I can’t help but think if Will and Jada just want their kids out there and known because I seriously debut they are doing all this for money when Will Smith has like a $150 million fortune. Willow also seems to dress well above her tender years, the hairstyle for me is a little too old for such a girl and the premiere of the Karate Kid, and I think she was dressed like someone of 20 or even 30 years. I know it is good for children to express themselves and also not to be suffocated too much, but I also think there should be a big bold line where a child should be a child and treated like one.

Call me jealous or whatever, but I think this may come back to haunt them in some years time. I remember Reese Witherspoon saying how she has seen so much in Hollywood that she would never let her kids get in the game unless they were fully grown mentally and they absolutely wanted to be actors/singers. Julia Roberts said something similar once when the interviewer asked if her kids have the same acting ability as their mum.

Anyway good luck to Jaden and his family.

    • amerie June 16, 2010 at 2:40 pm

Dave Letterman asked him about working with his dad and why he(jaden) was a mamas boy.Jaden said that his dad pushes him really hard.He also said that his dad came to him and told him that he was doing was remaking the Karate Kid and that Jaden was going to be the star.Jaden said that he thought that his dad was joking.Basically Jaden didnt ask to be in this movie. He was told that he was going to do the moveie. So I do think that the Smiths are trying to hard to push their kids into the entertainment business.Jaden was known before Karate kid.But now that this movie is a big hit.He has been thrust into the lime light big time.He will not be able to do the things that he used to do without the paparazzi in his face and people asking for autographs.there goes his normal childhood.I just think will and Jada should have waited until he and will were at least 16 before they let them into the entertainment business

      • Sabrina June 16, 2010 at 3:09 pm

100% agreed on that. I know The Smiths are very popular on here and any opinion against them makes you a hater, but i just think they should have waited until he was 16, finished school and ready to decide where he wants to go in life. It seems like being an actor was heavily influenced on him by his parents.

The older son i saw on Oprah seems to be the opposite and appears to not want to be the centre of attention.

Anyway, they may be right for all we know.

      • Fashionedbygod33 June 16, 2010 at 6:11 pm

@ Amerie, wow that is crazy. I don’t condone pushing your child into something. Let them find their way. I always thought Willow looked like her dad, which she does, but in the top pic she really looks like her mom.

      • Sherley June 16, 2010 at 6:29 pm

Thank you for summing up the interview, I didn’t care enough to watch it.

That is what I was thinking all along. Jaden & Willow are in the spotlight because their parents keep thrusting them in it. I somehow get that from Will & Jada will do whatever Will says as long as she stays Mrs. Smith.

I do agree they should have waited till the children were able to voice whether or not that’s the direction they wanted to go in.

This doesn’t make me a hater, it makes me an independent thinker.

    • tanja June 20, 2010 at 4:42 pm

      I totally cosign that

  • luvbug June 16, 2010 at 1:29 pm

Evelina Rae, I must agree with you on this one. I am guessing they read the article on their daughter on front page of yahoo, lol. Plus the negative posts on her outfits. She looks like a little girl in this pic, minus that hairstyle. I am loving this Willow and starting to like Smiths again.

  • mena June 16, 2010 at 12:27 pm

    Willow look silly again

  • DeeDee June 16, 2010 at 12:19 pm

    @ mena

I disagree. By the looks of it he has a childhood. The Jackson’s kids are an extreme case thanks to Joe. Their life was all music. At 5, 6, 7 they were perfoming in clubs and across the country in wee hours of the morning and had to be in school the next day. Like Tito said they came home from school they would practice, do their homework and go out on the road ,come home sleep , back to school and the cycle continued. They were not allowed to have friends and all their spare time was practicing. All that with a father on their back with a belt if they did the wrong move or sing the wrong note. I don’t think thats the case with Jaden.

    • mena June 16, 2010 at 12:28 pm

I hope you are right. I just didn’t want to see this movie re-made. But that life….

  • mena June 16, 2010 at 11:59 am

Please no Karate Kid 2… the original should have never been touched. I love the Smiths but they are pimping this kid out. He has no childhood and will grow up to be another Micheal Jackson.

  • Kiara June 16, 2010 at 10:56 am

They are so beautiful to me.

  • ReallyDoe June 16, 2010 at 10:13 am

I absolutely love this family! Willow is so tall for her age, and beautiful to boot! Jaden is such a handsome & self assured young man, good for him! Most people dont figure out who they are until later in life, Jaden seems to already know. I’m gonna go support the movie this weekend.

  • Angel10 June 16, 2010 at 10:10 am

aww i love this family..they look so nice!!! cant wait to see karate kid this weekend :)

  • EVELINA RAE June 16, 2010 at 10:06 am

Willow looks much better in her age apropriate outfit.

    Will looks fresh and handsome.

    Jada looks over dressed.

Jaden, i like this custom made vest, too.
