LEBRON JAMES AND FAMILY TO MOVE TO MIAMI
For many Cleveland Cavalier fans, NBA player Lebron’s announcement yesterday to leave the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat came as a great disappointment. While many people are not happy about his decision, Lebron says he and his family are looking forward to their move to South Beach, Florida. Even Lebron’s sons-Bryce and Maximus- with girlfriend Savannah are “ecstatic”.
“Well, my kids, they– no, they’re not at that age yet. They’re five and three. [It] don’t matter what, as long as they got a basketball hoop and a pool, which they got plenty of pools in South Beach, they’re ecstatic.,” Lebron said in an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts this morning.
He added, “I mean, but like I said, my family, all we know is Ohio. So it’s a change. It’s definitely a change and there’s gonna be doubt, which there should be. Excitement, there was anxiety. There was afraid. There was, you know, everything that you can imagine went on in everyone’s head, you know? And it should be that because that’s all we knew”
So what really drove Lebron to choose Miami Heat over other contenders?
“..Ever since I was a kid, I was always the winner. I won at every level– all the way since I started playing the game of basketball at nine. I’ve won at every level, won championships at every level. And, you know, it won’t be fulfilled until I win at the highest level.”

I go through the critiques prior to I bought, it is a lot better than I anticipated. Best size, holds every little thing. I will most probably purchase in yet another color.
they need to stop haten on bron bron because he wants to win & he is not going to do that with the cavs because they always choke at the play offs i dont blame him. ohio stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, to me it seems as if the Gilbert felt that he owned LJ—he sounded like he was going to put a HIT out on HIM–(LOL)….He was very upset—and he sounds like very racial person/man…it’s crazy he sent in a 5041541 page email–(LOL)–hahahahaha…..and he wished LJ BAD LUCK!!!!
D WADE GOT TO MIAMI AND LET THE FAME AND GABBY UNION RUIN HIS MARRIAGE. I HOPE LEBRON DOESNT SUCCUMB TO WEAKNESS AND LET THE FAME AND GROUPIES DESTROY HIS FAMILY.
My thoughts exactly…. the distractions and temptations are far more greater in Miami than Cleveland. Probably be more baby mommas than championship rings.LOL
He didnt have to make a media spectacle of it…..that was the annoying part. iam from miami and it just seemed like he was some sort of messiah or something. Like, really not that serious homie. You good but you are not JESUS CHRIST! it is just basketball!!! and the way he self-titled himself “KINg”…have to be pretty full of yourself to do that. In addition, after he signed with MIAMI they made a whole seance at the AMerican Airlines arena for the BIG THREE and i think all this hype behind them is gonna be costly in the end. Overconfidence can be a BEYOTCH sometimes. IF after all this media hype and galore they still dont make playoffs, it would really tickle me senseless. im just saying HAHAHAHHA
and in his quote: “There was afraid”???? you mean “There was fear” LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
quit haten
His sons are cute!
Do what is best for you & your family. Nothing else matters most.
Is it just me but everytime I see his boys I wonder why their clothes always look thrown together. Its never fails. I’m not saying they are dirty or aren’t well cared for because they aren’t wearing gold or feathers but it never fails they just look like no time is taken to get them dressed. Here is a great example, Monica when you see her and her boys they always, I mean always look really clean and like time is taken to get them dressed. Maybe its just me.
@Interesting,
I am unsure what pictures you are looking at, but I do think it’s just you.
Agreed. His kids look just fine…as noted in my above mispost.
I am from Columbus Ohio and I have to agree with a couple other opinions about Lebron James it is not the fact that he is leaving it is the manner he announced his decision… If Kobe Bryant left the lakers in the same manner as Lebron James did the Las Angeles Laker fans would be trippin just the same unless you are from Ohio you would not get it at all you have to work to be the greatest or to become a legend!! Magic Johnson Micheal Jordan Larry Bird and many more all legends they may have rings but they also worked to get them and it took some much longer to get them that was called LOYALTY to your team Lebron is a great player and I wish him the best of luck on the Miami Heat last but not least we Ohioans do not believe we own Lebron James but we had a big part in making his image now you can all take that to the bank!!!!!
LeBron left Cleveland for a “chance” to win a ring. LeBron joined forces with his friends, to achieve this goal. I hope for the sake of their friendship, that LeBron can get his ring. He has proved and said, in the past, that he doesn’t like losing (I know, who does). He has promised the city of Miami multiple championships. I hope he is able to handle it, if this trio doesn’t come out of the gate winning!!! I wish him well in his pursuit, but at this time, it is just that, A PURSUIT!!!
I am from cleveland,oh and most people are very hurt that he is leaving however… they are most ANGRY about the way in which he announced his decision. That’s where the problem lies in many clevelanders including the cavs owner Dan Gilbert. To take an entire HOUR of espn primetime television to say I’m going to miami …that was unnecessary. And stringing out the Cavs and all of the other hopeful teams for so long…now the other teams have missed their chances to get other free agents. I don’t care for Lebron too much he has always seemed selfish and a “me, me, me!” kind of person.
Now yes…by all means, do what is best for you and your family and your happiness I don’t blame him at all but there were many ways that were significantly more professional than they way he delivered his message.
I really don’t watch a lot of professional sports and one of the main reason is because people tend to worship and obsess over them. I think its utterly ridiculous how the owner of the Cavaliers and the Cleveland fans have reacted to Lebron James leaving. It’s quite obvious that they think they own him.
He’s given them 7yrs of his life and you would think he had done nothing by their reaction. I’ve heard and read a lot of stuff about how narcissistic and egotistic he was by having the press conference and my response to that is if he is egotistical or narcissisitic sports fans have helped in that by acting like he
s God instead of just a man who plays basketball really well.
GET OVER IT CLEVELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ Tee, I agree. I am a huge sports fan, but let’s keep it in perspective. I do get that whole “he owes us” vibe. Whether he held the press conference or not, Cleveland still would have been pissy that he left. Please.
Agreed. Its just this person. The kids looks good in the pic and most pics. People have different fashion sensibilities. I don’t see anything approaching unkempt or thrown together–smh.
this comment misposted…belongs a thread or so down
IDK IS IT ME OR DID THAT OPEN LETTER HAVE RACIAL UNDERTONES TO IT? LIKE MASSAH HAVING HIS SLAVE BOY LEAVING HIM FOR ANOTHER PLANTATION? HOW DARE THIS [guy] LEAVE ME I OWN HIM! OR AM I JUST REACHING?
GO HORNETS!!! lol
i am just glad to see this black man with his black kids.
Stay True Lebron- Dont sellout
Good for him and his family. People are taken this a little too seriously. The NBA is a business.
I really like LJ so I wish him well wherever he goes. I was just really hoping he would go to New Yorkkkkk! ; )
Lebron has to do what’s best for Lebron! I think he’s made the owner and the city of Cleavland LOADS of money since he’s been their. It’s not like he didn’t do his part! But he’s got to do what he’s got to do for the sake of HIS career, not for the so-called fans of Cleaveland or anyone else. Go LBJ!!! Lebron can’t win a championship on his own, that’s a team effort, obviously a effort that didn’t happen while he was their, soooooo…ON TO THE NEXT!
Woop Woop! I can’t wait to see the BIG LCD ( LeBron, Chris ,Dwayne)in action …
LET’S GO MIAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE WANTED TO COME TO MIAMI AND WIN!!!! SO WHAT?!? IT’S HIS DECISION…HE IS A GROWN MAN AND IF HE CHOOSES TO LEAVE CLEVELAND THAT IS HIS CHOICE… I PERSONALLY AM EXCITED ABOUT HOW LIVE MIAMI IS GONNA BE WITH ALL 3 OF THOSE DUDES…I SEE A CHAMPIONSHIP BABYYYYY!!!
Looks like LeBron took the easy way out to me. Taking on the challenge of winning a title for his hometown in Cleveland would have been worth several championships with the new, stacked “Big Three” in Miami. He should have stayed the course in Cleveland, and his popularity would continue to soar, which automatically increases his income with more endorsements!
He stayed the course in Cleveland for seven years, and they didn’t put enough talent around him to make winning a championship a reality. At the end of the day, he made a business decision that was best for him and his family. He wants to win a ring, and at this point in time Miami offers him the best chance to do that. His true fans will continue to follow him and wish him the best, and the endorsement deals aren’t going anywhere simply because he is no long in Cleveland, in fact being in Miami could give him more exposure. So, good luck to Bron and his family. And I must say his boys are so cute.
Thank you Lauren.
I agree with you especially on “the easy route” part. I could’ve pictured him with Chicago as well. I still wish him the best.
There comes a time in life when you have to do what’s best for you and your career and not everybody else. He made a good choice and if his mom and fam were ok with, then that’s all that matters. His true fans will still be there, like me. No matter where he goes I support him and I see that Miami already plans to as well. Heat tickets already selling out b/c of him…LOL.
I am a New Yorker and a huge sports fan. I don’t understand this loyalty to any city. New Yorkers are mad he didn’t come here and I’m LAUGHING at all of them. A championship is a championship.
I didn’t like the National TV thing but it is what it is. I think he took the best route for him. Did you want him to continue to stay in Cleveland and fail? Go to Chicago and be in the shadow of MJ. Stay in Cleveland for an owner that no none wants to play for. Rebuild another team. If I had an opportunity to join the guys at GOOGLE, I would jump at it! LeBron is going to make less money with the Heat than with the other teams.
Did Gilbert feel bad when he was firing the 60 win coach and GM. It was business then but LeBron can’t make a business decision. If LeBron had gotten hurt, Gilbert would have cut him and people in Ohio wouldn’t be talking about loyalty then!
Kevin Garnett said he wished he had left Minnesota years ago, you can’t get back your youth. He directed those comments to LeBron in May!
None of us are on the court and knows what LeBron had to go through in Cleveland. If he remains an upstanding guy is popularity will continue to grow. The adverting revenue from last night’s show goes to the boys and girls club. His jersey has already sold out in Miami! People may question him now but winning will cure that. I will be watching the Heat games this season to see what happens. Once again, I wish them the best!
Well I am from Ohio and a Lebron fan and itz the manner in which he did it. He didnt have to go on national tv to announce anything but it seems this generation is all about me and me only. He can go to Miami but without those three, Bosh, Wade and James Miami has no more to offer than Cleveland. If anyone of those three get injured it will be another set back for Lebron. I wish him and his family nothing but the best especially Savannah cause Miami is a far cry from Cleveland.
They offer him help on the court, which he didn’t have in Cleveland. You must not watch basketball games huh? He took a pay cut to go there so that tells you he wants to win and I am hapy for him. He made the right choice and I see many rings in his future!!
Obivously you dont know a thing about basketball or public relations either darling… Ive followed Lebron’s career for a long time, I agree Cleveland failed to put the right players around him but given his new team, if any of three get injured it will still be a set back for him. So go play outside somewhere you’re probably another selfish brat of this generation too. Fly away.
Woop Woop! GO Heat!! I am happy with his choice and would have been happy either way he went. Cleveland acting like this man owe them something when really he dont. He gave them 7years and they didn’t try to get him any help so at the end of the day he made the right choice. What Dan Gilbert said was not called for and he knows he is the real coward here. D Wade said he son likes Lebron and now they will be on the same team. I am so happy for Lebron and I hope that he gets as many rings as he can. People need to back off and leave this GROWN MAN alone!!!
them lakers better watch out now!
WAY TO GO BRON!
LeBron would have been big here in Chicago but he had to make the right decision and get with the team that would allow him to get a ring. Miami is a good team and I hope he get his ring and win a chanpionship soon. Cleveland has mistreat him so he left.
If I worked for Dan Gilbert I’d leave too! Gilbert’s letter was dispicable. I’m not a fan of Bron but I respect him and I have learned alot about him since he became a free agent. Bron has been the parent in his family since he was 12 so I know this decision had to be hard for him. Last night he looked so nervous and you could tell he wanted to cry! That’s a lot of pressure on a 25 year old.
I hope Bron’s boys and D-Wade’s boys become friends. I hear next year he and Savannah will make it official. Good luck all around to him and his family! As a sports fan (not a Heat fan) I hope he finally get’s his ring!
I agree with everything you said. I am also not a LeBron fan but, I wish him nothing but the best. He gave Cleveland 7 years he does not owe them his life just because he grew up there. Dan Gilbert acted as if he owned LeBron or something!
I agree with you. I thought it was the ugliest display of professionalism that I have seen and heard in a while. They act like they owned him. I’m glad he chose to leave and go somewhere else to play. He owes them nothing.
The one whose clothes they need to be burning and talking chat about is their congressman there in Washington Boehner their “tan man” who is doing nothing for them in washington LOL
I don’t see the big deal. You have people out burning his jersey, the owner calling him a “cowardly traitor”, crying, and acting like it was Jesus Christ himself that’s on his way to Miami. It’s about business. It’s business when they recruit people out of high school. It’s business when you toss aside young, talented quarterbacks (yes I’m referring to football) for old quarterbacks just because of who they are (Brett Farve), and it’s business when you trade someone out to get somebody else. He left because he wants to win a championship. It’s nothing personal – just business. I’m not a sports person by any means, but I wish the guy the best.
ditto
I thought the fans in Ohio were terrible. You’d think they owned him. For goodness sake he gave them a long engagement and he has the right to choose. That owner was nasty and I’m glad they made him pay for his filth in that letter. I am glad that he chose to go with the HEAT. I wish him and his family all the best.
I like what you said. Its business. People act like they own the man. He’s doing what he feel to win that ring and to take care of his family. I will be cheering for Miami even more now.
Man, I was thinging the same thing, but then again I don’t really care about sports like that in general, but I did read that letter and it was a bit harsh. The owner of the team def had his feeling hurt and put his emotions WAY out there for the world to read. Lol
Lay it down shaggzster. Agreed
Its gets real personal though when the shoe is on the other foot. I am glad Lebron gets to call some of his own shots. I am a fan and just want to see him win the championship SOMEWHERE…he is a skilled ball player that has added needed excitement to the NBA
Aww! they cut the big one’s hair.
I hope they welcome you in Miami ’cause i think you Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are gonna to BIG t’ing there
LeBron, Jr. and Bryce are cute!
He made the right decision for him. He want that ring!
