USHER OPENS UP ABOUT FATHERHOOD ON VH1′S “BEHIND THE MUSIC”
In a recently aired episode of VH1′s Behind The Music, singer Usher opens up about being a father to his two sons Usher V, 2 1/2, and Naviyd,1 1/2. Here are quotes from the episode, which aired on Monday July,19th.
On being a father:
“They make me want to get up and live, you know. I have a purpose that is greater than just, you know, amassing wealth and being recognized, you know. This is, this is real, real life now.”
On being awarded joint custody of his two sons:
“I’m paying a lot, but I got a lot out of the deal too, you know. Um my boys, I love them, you know, and I’ll never be unavailable for them. I’ll always be there. Not having my father be there is what makes me the father that I am to my sons.”
Usher on his father:
“I can remember still wondering, ‘Am I not good enough? Does he not want to know me? Does he know we have the same name? Why didn’t he want to call me or come see me? Does he think about me?’”

Just because you don’t see photo’s of usher with his boys does not mean he not raising them. He has joint custody of them so when he does not have them he is free to do whatever he likes be all over the place having fun. Just like when tameka dose not have the boys she probably goes out and have fun too.

Does Usher have a new project coming out or something? The confessionals usually come just in front of these it seems-lol. That is not nice about his dad. I don’t like hearing about men abandoning their kids like that. He looks as if he is breaking that pattern and appears to be a great dad.

I love Usher since he was 14! I am a true fan been to all his concerts in Chicago. He will make an amazing father to his sons. I glad he met his dad before he passed.

I watched Usher’s Behind the Music. First-I didn’t know that Dallas and Chilli were married (They stated that Chilli had just gotten out of a tumultuous marriage and divorce from Dallas Austin, when she and Usher started dating.) Second-his youngest son looks just like his mother.Third-why did he have to say, “I pay a lot” referring to his joint custody?!

How do you know that Realtalk? do you know Tameka and Usher? Some of you are always talking out of your arze. Not just one child is cute, both of them are gorgeous. Maybe if he would have stayed married, instead of letting viewers dictate his life. Just maybe he wouldn’t be paying all of that money.

I agree Luvbug. he wasnt doing good musically anymore after he got married, so that made him divorce his wife. That album wasnt good with the moving mountains song, but had he really stood for what he believed in and stayed married and dedicated to his family things would have still worked out. he is hott now but when the dust settles will he wish he would have stayed with his wife?

The boys are so cute,but i think it was tacky of him to say that he pays alot for child support. He makes millions of dollars of course he pays alot ,but that is between him and his ex.
