I saw the article of the baby & I am absolutely at a lost for words. Wow. But there has to be a logical explanation & we will hear it soon.

TI & Tiny are supposed to be married July 31st. Congrats to them if they do.

Swizz Beats & Dream…sooo over those two.

That is too crazy. I would get a dna test to beleive that she was mines if I were dad. Sorry but that just seems impossible. he says: “my wife is true, even if she wasnt she wouldnt look like that”. Huh y not? depending on who the dad is its possible!!

@onum2 – the scientists are baffled. I’m sure they’ve all ready done a DNA test to make sure the baby was biologically their baby and not switched, as well as many other tests, so I’m willing to wager that paternity has been established.

Genetics works in very mysterious ways, and from what my sister told me, this is happening in Africa more than we know. (shrugging shoulders).

Anyway, they are a very lovely family.

This black family who has given birth to a white child is being closely studied by scientist according to what I have read, which means that DNA test were probably the first thing administered to prove that this black man is the BIOLOGICAL father of this precious baby girl. Also, it was written that this child is NOT albino. It’s a shame that many people don’t seem to know anything about genetics. All races came from Africa. Mixed raced people who “appear” White physically can have a child with Black features because of that fact. AFRICANS can give birth to a child with the physical features of ANY race because ALL races came from Africa WITHOUT ANY mixing. The black gene is the dominant gene and the white gene is the recessive trait. This means that the white gene comes from the bleck gene. Blacks are the only race than can produce any other race because of our genes. If a white couple has a black child it’s because they weren’t white to begin with. We already know that whites may appear white, but when they take that test black blood shows up everytime. This is infinite proof of why black people are the original people of this earth. The smoking gun, if you will. You may get the recessive trait from the dominant trait, but never the reverse.

Kudos! You’ve stated exactly what I wanted to say, only way more eloquently. Do you think its safe to say (as has Dr Francis Welsing among others) that Caucasian peoples are genetic mutants? I’m not trying to be insulting, just curious.

Two white parents cannot give birth to a black child. That is scientifically impossible actually because the white features are in fact recessive traits just like you said and black traits are dominant which means if white skin is there on both ends they are both recessive carriers and cannot pass on dominant genes.

this is baffling to them because Nigerians have little if any mixing of the races. This is would not be amazing if it were a black american because we have a lot of mixing. But I am still convinced that people across the pond do not know what light-skinned blacks look like.

This would NOT be amazing in America. It happens more than you think here. We are products of the plantation. Why would it be so shocking for ‘massas’ genes to pop up? For this to happen to a Nigerian is proof of evolution and where man originated. THAT is why this is amazing.

You must be pretty stupid your self. Africans specifically nigerians come in all variations of colors. In the north you have Africans who may look as if they could be egyptian or ethiopian. In the south towards cameroon you have more of a darker skinned tone looking nigerians. The point being is that within Nigeria there are many different ETHNIC groups 250 to be exact that have different hair types, skin colors, and languages.

Do some research before you speak. Both of my parents are african and we are all “light skinned” as you say.

Why are people making suggestions. The article does not state that there has been a DNA test. It did not say that scientists are conducting a study. It simply said they are baffled. And honestly, I believe she has a form of albinism because they have NO documentation of mixed-race in their lineage.

Also, recent studies and paleontological evidence is beginning to suggest that Africa is NOT the birthplace to civilization….so do your CURRENT research before you start to give some biology lecture.

But congrats on the birth of the beautiful baby!

So what? A lot of people don’t want to acknowledge that Africa is the birthplace of mankind, so of course there will be those that dispute it and those that will believe it. Scientists have PROVEN that mankind’s origins are in Africa, so either accept it, get over it, or you do your research.

      The truth hurts, doesn’t it.

I’m sorry but there is proof in both the bible and Darwinism that life began in Africa. First of all, lets use a little common sense. The first humans are going to be in the most fertile land. Where there is a food source and land you can cultivate. And before man destroyed it, that place was Africa. It most certainly was not cold a– Europe. As far as the Bible, Noah took two of each animal. On which continent can you find the majority of every animal known to man? If that’s not enough for you, Blacks have given birth to white babies(obviously) but it is impossible for it to happen the other way around. Unless it was a hospital error and the white mother was accidentally inseminated with black sperm. Then the child would not be biologically hers. I’m just sayin’ THINK. Don’t try and rationalize away our beautiful heritage.

And it is DEFINITELY paleontology. You made me laugh at that one!!

I’ve taken a 10 bio classes and NEW data suggests different. A scientist in the U.K. has already stated that this child’s condition is most likely related to albinism and a defect in a chromosome. Read the article from the Sun.

I’m just stating a few facts based on research, history classes and an oft neglected thing called common sense. As far as correcting you on the use of the term ‘biology’, my daughter calls me an ‘English Nazi’. I was constantly correcting her grammar as a child. Just a little quirk of mine. my mom is light african(nigerian) my dad is light african (tunisian practically white)

my 2 older sisters are dark like gabrielle union, but with straighter hair
I am light like halle berrys complexion

Oh and whoever said that nothing white gives birth to anything dark? Mixed babies almost always come out darker than their mothers, so that doesn’t even make sense. If this baby is not an albino, then there’s a genetic defect because two black people, as dark as they are, will not give birth to a white child with white hair. Genetic defect, people, plain & simple.

    Flag this

    • Teri July 24, 2010 at 4:50 pm

@Bessie – the key word is MIXED. Of course a white woman can have a brown baby if the father is black or has dark pigment because the black gene is dominant.

American blacks have been known to have very white/blond babies. It’s not unusual since most blacks are racially mixed.

Where did you get your degree on genetics, professor Bessie? Apparently you know more than the scientist, so thank you for your expert opinion.

Well, some black babies are born with straight hair. Look at Sandra Bullock’s son, for example. It’s only fairly recently that his hair has started to ‘nap up’, but it was pretty straight in his debut photos.

If this baby still has dead-straight hair a year or so from now, then I’ll find it peculiar.

Just because you don’t believe something doesn’t make it true. Can you show me a scientist or anthropologist that says different? Everyone knows that first people came from Africa. It’s a fact. There has been no mention of a DNA test (it was the first thing I looked for in the article), and I’m thinking it would’ve been said, had the paternity been certifiably established. I am waiting for that, lol, because that little lady is one HELL of an adorable anomaly. Pretty crazy…

If nothing else, it shows people how utterly inconsequential race is.

i don’t think she’s albino, but this is not that uncommon…also that baby was 3 days old when they took that pic…my mom’s brother in Cameroon had a child with his wife(they are both black) who came out looking white, with sandy red hair and blue eyes,by the time he was 3 years old,his hair got really curly,he darkened a little and his eyes turn gray….he’s 17 now and look biracial/lightskin black kid with red curly hair and grey eyes.and like i said before, there are many africans that look mixed because,’the white man’ lived there too and left his mark.she is 3 days old….

Since that is a newborn baby, it is too early to declare anything. Many babies get darker as they get older. I would like to see a picture of this family when the baby turns 5.

Freaky things happen in science all of the time, this is no different. I don’t see how this is connected to MJ, but anywho…

Man please…that baby is albino. Look at her features. She looks like a normal black baby except blonde hair and very light skin. My baby was highly light with red hair and guess what is black? Altho he’s tan as all black newbies do, he still has red hair. People are doing way too much!

the doctors already confirmed that the baby is not albino seeing that her eyes do have pigment. Also this baby has a lot of hair — very rarely do you see white babies born with so much hair (or any hair at all for that matter)

i’ve seen many white babies with hair……so i’m not sure what your point is…

this baby is not white. she has a defect in a chromosome that is similar to albinism. two completely black individuals will not naturally have a “white baby.”

That baby has black features. Mike’s two oldest kids do not. You have to be as crazy as MJ to believe those are his biological kids. The youngest one might be though, he looks mixed.

The baby is ethnically and racially black by genetics. As far as the hair I know plenty of black babies born with full heads of hair. All my nieces, nephews, godchildren and students were born with fine and curly hair. That’s why we call it baby hair in our community. Wait til she gets older. She will have nappier hair by then. Also look at the features. She has black nose and face structure. I went to school with a girl born albino that looked just like this. She has natrually blue eyes and blonde hair. If this baby marries a black man when she gets older (which she probably will considering the black man’s color struckness) she will have black kids.

WHEN THE HEAVENLY FATHER FEELS LIKE SENDING AN ALBINO THROUGH TWO BLACK INDIVIDUALS, IT WILL OCCUR. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE. ALBINOS ALSO SHOW IN ALL RACES EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.
