SANDRA BULLOCK’S ADOPTION FINALIZED
Actress Sandra Bullock has finalized the adoption of her eight-month-old son, Louis Bardo Bullock. “The Blind Side” star can now raise her son as a single parent.
And Friday the 13th proved to be a joyous occasion for Bullock when a judge at the Jefferson Juvenile Justice Center in Louis’ native New Orleans signed off on the adoption papers at a finalization hearing.
The actress was joined by her friends and family, including her sister Gesine, for the momentous occasion, four years after she began her journey to parenthood.
An eyewitness tells People magazine, “She was happy. … She is so in love with her child.”(Source)
Sandra initially adopted Louis in January with her then-husband Jesse James. Upon finding out about Jesse’s infidelities, however, Ms. Bullock filed to adopt Louis as a single parent.

Where do you think the baby would live in the 6 months – year it takes to finalize an adoption?
I don’t know anything about adoption, so i was unaware that it takes 6 months to a year before it’s finalized. All i know is that it takes along time before you are placed with a child…i believe Sandra and Jesse started paper work to adopt a child 4 years before Louis came “home”.

Yes you are allowed to take a baby home before an adoption is finalized.
Most states [in The U.S.] have laws in place to allow a “grace period” for the biological parents to change their minds (usually between 48hrs – 6 or more months). Plus it takes a while to finalize paperwork (with as slow as the gov’t moves…) which is why an adoption usually isn’t final the moment a child is handed to you.
Thanks! I’m not American, so i am unfamiliar with the adoption system there. Although i want to adopt i don’t know much about it…just that i want to give some child “in the system” love and a great home and a positive future, if i am able.

Just her husband’s history. How can you be married to a person and not know he’s a racist? I’m just wondering what her motives are behind adopting baby Louie? I know to a lot of people Sandra is a victim that can do no wrong, but I just get an uneasy feeling about this. I HOPE I’m wrong!
