JERMAINE JACKSON CAN’T AFFORD HIS CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS
The failing economy has hit musician Jermaine Jackson in the pocket big time! According to court documents, Jermaine can no longer afford to pay the expected amount of $3,000 a month in child support for his sons Jaafar and Jermajesty because his monthly income is under $1,100.
As such, Jermaine has appealed to a judge in California to reduce his support payments to $215 a month.
Reports TMZ, “According to the docs, Jermaine made a onetime appearance on “Big Brother” back in 2007, raking in a handsome $450,000 for his troubles — but since then, Jermaine claims his business has floundered. Jermaine claims his baby mama Alejandra not only earns more than him … but she gets a free ride along with his kids at the Jackson compound, thanks to Katherine’s generosity. Katherine has asked Alejandra to move her family into a nearly Jackson condo but Alejandra has refused and Katherine won’t put her foot down.”

I was at the Jermaine Jackson show at Planet Hollywood last night. I’d give the show mixed reviews. First off, it started an hour late because many of the seats towards the front weren’t filled, so some guy got on stage and asked people sitting in back to come up front to fill in because it was being filmed for pay per view TV. That created a lot of confusion and made it take even longer to get started.
I don’t know if it was the acoustics, the sound system or just Jermaine – but a number of songs were seriously out of tune. He just murdered “Beat It” but on some other songs “Smile” and “Gone too Soon” Jackson’s voice was great. He seemed the most comfortable singing his own songs and the Jackson 5 favorites.
Can you imagine how hard it must be for Jackson to try to follow in the footsteps of “The King of Pop?” Tough shoes to fill. Jermaine is 55 and needs to find his own “sound” his own niche which uses his voice – different from Michael – to it’s best advantage.
Money doesn’t last forever. When there is nothing coming in and you continue to live the same lifestyle, you will be broke. I don’t care if you made $10 mil in 1982, if you ain’t sang since “If You Think My Eyes Are Beautiful” then you need a JOB!!
The prob with reducing his payments like that is that he is in a field where he will get lump sums of money. He won’t spread that like he should. If he gets $5000 to show up at a club in Berlin next week, his ex won’t see a bit of that money.
Maybe he can check with Randy to see if Von’s is still hiring.
Please. He is hiding his assets. He knows Alejandra is using the money for herself and he doesn’t want to share his portions. Probably hides his income under his current wife’s assets. Messy messy – and embarrassing. I know I don’t make more than Jermaine Frickin Jackson.
Who is Jermaine Jackson’s financial planner? He needs to be fired on the spot! Jermaine was the second best singer in the Jackson 5! He should be able to pay child support for all of his children and their 1/2 siblings!
Big Blue you are on to something. Mismanagement? Greed? I am baffled. I can’t understand how Jermaine or any of the Jackson 5 could be broke with the wonderful music they made which many people continue to enjoy (and exploit).
Maybe Jermaine and his brothers should have invested more in their “second acts” beyond the group, but still. All that hardwork and sacrificed childhoods. IMO, they should still be raking in the royalties. Jermaine also had a once promising solo career after the Jackson 5. Aside from Jermaine’s questionable behavior and actions at times, the reality is some of these artists like the Jackson 5, and various other artists of the ’60s and ’70s were routinely not paid what they were really worth and were mismanaged and handled. Yes, some of these artists helped themselves be undone, but that’s another story. I think Ger-mane’s (LOL, had to borrow) story is a little of both.
The Jackson 5 legacy alone outside of MJs stellar solo career, IMO, still has enough juice to market or exploit for profit, just need the right people on board. Now Jermaine, find your angle and stop bellyaching, lol.
How are we to know what goes on inside someone’s home? My ex sister in law lives with my mom. My current sis in law does not care about my mom, and my mom is older now.
Does my ex sis in law get payed for her help? No, but she gets free rent, and we all get along.

Negative comments about children are not to be made. Leave the children alone! Leave the Jackson’s alone. You are a bunch of ignorant, self-hating or racist people. First off, most people are not commenting on the children, we’re commmenting on Jermaine and Alejandra. They’re the one’s that have created such an unstable foundation for THEIR kids. The kids are not to be blamed. Jermaine is undoubtedly at fault here (and he just keeps having kids he can’t support!), Alejandra, on the otherhand, needs to get some self -respect, gather her belongings and stand on her own two feet! If Jermaine is not supporting her adequetely, she needs to pursue it through the courts–while at her OWN residence.
Secondly, this is the comment section. We are hardly going to comment on “Jermaine’s impeccable fashion sense” when presented with a topic like this. This is JUST opinons. And you should know it when you see it. If you’re are going to accuse people of racism, self hate or ignorance; you should, at the very least, look at intent and context of which each individual has written -I think you’ll find that race does not feature AT ALL: each comment is an opinion based on what has been made public about Jermaine’s very dysfunctional adult life.
Now, if we were discussing Denzel, Boris Kodjoe or Bill Cosby’s… character, only then, might you have a valid point to make.

I mean, yes, if you’re struggling, it’s a different story. You’ll find ways to break down the money. Jermaine shouldn’t be having this trouble though! Even if he had never made the same amount of money as Michael OR Janet, he’s still made a lot more money than a lot of people and he should have invested it. With him sleeping with his own BLOOD BROTHER’S ex-wife, I wouldn’t be surprised that this story is true. And PLUS, the way he was acting on “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty” and how right after Michael died, how he was running around promoting things but putting always putting his own face in the forefront.

Janet doesn’t need a share. She is a grown woman with her own money, and none of it is Michael’s money. She was the only one in the family who didn’t want to use the Jackson name while her siblings were doing just the opposite, and were unsuccessful. Janet is the one who payed for the funeral, I hope she doesn’t keep this habit up because MJ went broke paying for everybody else. Janet was the only one who didn’t need Michael to do anything for her and I commend her for that. SN: Don’t they make money from their Jackson 5 days, now that MJ’s gone they should at least be making a healthy paycheck from that.

No. The woman in the picture is his current wife, Halima. She’s rich, that’s why they have that big ass house and a Rolls Royce and Range Rovers and such. This is probably why Katherine is asking for a raise in her allowance from MJ’s estate because she’s taking care of MJ’s kids, Jermaine’s kids, and Alejandra. Katherine Jackson is a saint in my eyes because all of them, with the exception of Janet (love her too) because she has her own money, mooched off of Michael and Katherine.
