For single mom Jahna Sebastian, even motherhood has its thorns and roses. The singer says that although she enjoys being a mother to her daughter Nicole,2,(dad is producer Swizz Beatz), being a mom does have its challenges.
She writes on her website, “There is nothing better than being able to work on my music 24/7 and spending time with my daughter, who I can’t imagine my life without. That is the roses, but the thorns are everyday routine that I have to do like millions of women/mothers out there: the cycle of cleaning/washing/cooking/sorting out the mess around the house the children make and trying to make it, jobs we take on just because “it pays” instead of solidifying a career, and trying to stay positive because children want to see us smile and happy all the time, we can’t afford to show them tears even when it’s hard to hide. If I don’t do the everyday routine – nobody’s gonna do it. It probably makes a difference if you have a few family members to help you, but what if you don’t? Even though it has never been easy, in the first year of the baby’s life it is vital that the mother stays at home and puts career and everything else away.”
Jahna admits that for the first year of her daughter’s life, she was a stay-at-home mom. Though her career was put on the back burner, Jahna says the personal sacrifice was worth it.
She says of her sacrifice, “It is the essence of unconditional love, because you do this without wanting something back, you just do it because you love your child. I know my mother did the same for me, now I have to look after her the same way. Then everything and your career spins around your child and the focus and the main goal is to achieve things in life for your child. May be if I had everything at my feet, nice and easy from the beginning I wouldn’t appreciate simple things in life as much as I do now and won’t be able to understand what millions of women are going through every day. So there is a reason for everything, and every Cinderella dreams about this cycle being broken and only roses being left and that life would change one day, that all our efforts will bring fruits, and we can do what we love most, roses with no thorns – spending time with our children and doing work that we love 24/7.”

this girl looks like both meshonda and alicia her facial features are meshonda but her skin and hair is like alicias so all of swiss women look similar the baby is adorable and I like that you do not hear to much ill will with the women.
but Im tired of these men having babies with all of these women and they expect all of the women to get along
lil wayne has 4 babymothers

TI has about 3 baby mothers
swiss has three baby mothers and probably more because if that women wouldnt have came out about the DNA test we wouldnt have known about the baby

I hope people can understand now why Mashonda was so pissed. This baby was made while they were still married and then he went and got with Alicia. Mashonda and this mother get along and their kids spend time together but I just thought Alicia could have done better that’s all I’m saying. It would just scare me to sleep with him when he is showing he doesn’t use any protection and the women or no better, except he was married to Mashonda so I understand but damn. The kids are all cute though and is it just me or does all his kids mother all look alike? They did a side by side of Mashonda and Alicia with the same hair style and they looked so much alike and Jahna does as well. Look at his first baby momma, its like he’s dating the same women different names ages and personalities. My grandmother said men tend to date the same type of woman (looks attitudes etc) Well we will be waiting on the outcome of Alicia and Swizz beatz and see how long it last.
Those children have not spent time together, Mashonda said that she hoped that one day that they could, as far as getting along.,Mashonda reached out to her publicly on her website, you can see it if you go there, so there is no real relationship there. .Mashonda just wanted an ali strange how she wants to befriend this woman who had the kid while they were married and tries to throw Alicia under the bus. Anyway she is not doing anything different from thousands of other women around the world, when you make the decision to have a child these are the things tha come with motherhood.

She do what every other single mother does; cooking, cleaning, working, etc. Nothing is anymore special about her case. I didn’t know Swizz had a daughter but she sure does look like him. She is cute.
If I had the luxury to take off of my career for a year, I would surely do it. However, most women do not have that as an option. I wish people would realize that and stop saying how “necessary” it is. It maybe necessary but it’s not always possible. You have to do what you have to do and just pray for the best. Hell, if I could, I would never go to work again and be a stay-at-home mom, but that’s just not the cards that I was dealt, so I’m going to make my situation work for me and mine.
I agree. I’ve been a single mom of a special needs child for over 15yrs. I have absolutely no support, everything falls on my shoulders & my son is the best child I know. Tired of hearing mothers speak as if being a good mom, stay at home or not, should get them a medal.
The child did not ask to be here, now that she/he is, it’s your priviledge to care for them until they become good members of society. If you cannot do it, adoption is an option.

Yes, there are many things that we would do in a ideal world. That doesn’t make those things “necessary”. It is tough enough to make good decisions without everyone imposing their own standards on others.

Ok, if you and dude aren’t married, he lives in another country, you get pregnant, did you think it was gonna be roses? That sounds like a cactus situation to me! Be a mother to your child, you’re doing a great job, keep it up. You can’t blame nobody for your actions and stop the pity party, nobody wants to come. Women raise kids by themselves everyday. You’re not the first one.
