‘Private Practice’ star Taye Diggs appeared on the Chelsea Lately (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) this week. While on the show, Taye talked about his wife Idina Menzel, their dog, and their son Walker Nathaniel,1, who “by tradition [is] Jewish, right, if the mother’s Jewish,” reveals Taye.

Why are you people mad because his son is bi racial..who cares…biracial kids are very cute…and this boy is not black, he is mixed, so for you ignorant people, if he was black, he would have two black parents, but he doesn’t…so that makes him bi racial..

Well Monique are you american then your not black period if your family is lighter then his biracial son. Everyone knows blacks in the americas are mixed because of slavery so in a way you are biracial anyways lol. He will not be forced to calle himself black period. He is a mullato one white and one black paren does not equal black lol mixed people have 50% from each parents gene. I don’t care for Taye Diggs at all! I don’t care who he has a child with! I do get the impression that he thinks he’s better than other people and I don’t apologize for that. But on another note his son is a cutie!

Why can’t Walker claim his Jewish side?? For the people saying, no matter what he’s just a black kid. He isn’t. He is MIXED meaning he should be able to claim his white side just as much as his black side. If Taye and his wife decide to have the baby practice the Jewish religion, so be it. It wouldn’t be fair if he only claimed only half of himself.

You may see it like that, but clearly Jewish people don’t just see it as a religion. Its a way of life. Taye is full of himself. He is one of those dudes that is so happy to have married a white woman. It seems like Taye married his wife no because of love, but for her ethnicity. His wife has to put up with a lot being married to him!
It seems you have more issues with his wife being white than he does. They have been together for 15+ years. They were together when he was making black women swoon duing his Stella days. If all Taye wanted was a white woman, than he would have dumped her ass and got a typical Hollywood trophy wife — cause he could have. He didn’t.

People seem to have issues with Taye. What has he done or said to cause such abrasive comments? His son is indeed of mixed heritage. Should he not mention that? His wife is a jew/ technically not white but middle eastern like Jermaine’s wife. They have a right to mention what his makeup is. My children are tri-racial and I mention it all the time b/c we are constantly asked. We don’t see it is a negative or positive. It is just what makes up their genetics, not who they are. This is the MODERN family today folks, get use to it.

-She was most recently on the show “Glee” playing Rachel’s biological mother.
-If you have kids (and maybe even if you don’t) you’ve probably seen “Enchanted” she plays the girlfriend, Nancy.
She also was the original Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked. She won a Tony Award for that role.

I was never thought Taye Diggs was a good actor. Aside from that there is nothing wrong with being Black and Jewish. There are agrowing number of Black Jews in America (believe it or not).

idk if Taye Diggs wife Jewish or not neither by heritage nor by practice of Judaism, but if she is either then that automatically makes her son Jewish because offspring are only consider Jewish when the mother is Jewish

I think some of you all are confused. Jewish is not a RACE it is a religion. A person can be a Chinese Jew, an Arab Jew, a Indian Jew, ect… So it has NOTHING to do with his wife being black or white.
