WILLOW WHIPS HER HAIR ON NEW YEAR’S EVE
Willow Smith,10, performed onstage during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2011 on December 31, 2010 in Burbank, California.
Reports Aol Music, “Willow Smith set a new record on New Year’s Eve, being the youngest performer to ever take the stage during ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.’ ABC’s live broadcast of the event from New York City’s Times Square featured a slew of credible performers, but the pint-sized songstress showcased her skills like that of a veteran. [She] gracefully took the stage by being lowered down on a mammoth boombox, as she chanted, “I whip my hair back and forth.” Before getting into her verses, the 10-year-old two-stepped into a dance routine then grabbed hold of a gold microphone.”

WONDERFUL and TALENTED. How many 10 year olds can do what she just did?
I’m not sure why they are trying so hard to market this child to an adult audience. It just doesn’t feel right, and I think some of the cheering for her is BECAUSE she’s a little girl and they want her to feel good. As for her “talent,” the girl definitely has some skills, but geez, there are probably a lot of young black girls who can sing like her and dance like her if they were assigned top producers, songwriters, etc.
Watching her, I still feel like I’m watching a talent show at the Boys and Girls Club. I think her singing career will be short lived; over when she starts to go through puberty.
I agree!
what is that thing on her head!!! i am surprised it did not fly off while she was whipping it.
U funny…
I see People call her Mini Rihanna because of the style but this is baby BEYONCE. Jay-Z is a SMART man. This girl is gonna BLOW!She can REALLY SING.Shame on our artists and a 10 year old is outperforming you. Smh!
i love her hair
SO SO cute but i cant wait for her hair to grow back!
SHE’S A CUTIE PIE BUT I DONT LIKE THE HAIR THEY WHIPPED ON HER THIS TIME IJS
Ugggggggggg………glad I missed it.
Funny
Her talent speaks for itself. Willow is a young child and has a better “LIVE” stage presence and performance than some of the “SEASONED” adult performers. People criticize because her parents are famous, but this child has “true” talent. Her dad, mother nor brothers are performing for her…she’s doing it herself…the proof is in her live performances. Again Willow’s talent speaks for itself. Willow, keep up the good work sweetheart and keep “whipping” your hair and the haters off
I don’t like the hair she’s not growm to be but it’s definitely something about this child. Pls child
lmao @ how your hair ends up after youve whipped it back n forth to death..
Lmao i know right. Her hair started out in place then ended in a whole new style lol.
She seemed a little tired, but New Years Eve is the only day of the year where some parents let their kids stay up all night lol. I know my mom use to let me but I usually clocked out by 10 hahaha
I LOVE her shoes!
she sure has star quality… beautiful child
Is she lip singing? Anyway I think she is a lil bit advanced for a 10 year old but hey
Damn that Whip my Hair remix sound good. Keep doin the do Willow, killin artist twice her age (and by this I mean Rihanna, her new cd sucks).
She is so cute.
Nice performance! The hair is a bit too much though…I think a simple ponytail would have been just fine. But hey, that’s just me.
She did really well. Do your thing Willow. Is it me or did she get taller?
Yeah, I think she is getting taller also.
she did so good.she is so cute.
Maybe she is the youngest performer because New Year’s Eve is traditionally an adult event!
Too grown if you ask me.
